Warm welcome from our hiking group, very prompt and friendly service.

How I was looking forward to the opening and now it will be a dog bar! No dog meets the hygiene regulations and feeding dogs in the restaurant is dangerous and irresponsible towards the service staff and guests. How should I imagine it, I'm eating and the dog at the next table is being fed canned food? So the waitress feeds the dog and brings me the food? Does management know that dog food stinks? Many dogs defend their food and if something happens, management should be held responsible. Such a crazy idea and not intended for the general public.

5 stars so far. Renovation with a chalet is a disaster.

It was a cozy atmosphere with very pleasant hospitality.

We ate fondue in the “Holzhaus”. Fine food with very attentive and friendly service. We will be back...

Beautiful restaurant with Christmas lights decorations that make you dream. Austrian cuisine is also served by the service staff and so on Saturday we served in dirndls. Which looked really great. There was a bit of a holiday feeling right away. The food was great and looked great. The children were included and each received their own bag with craft supplies, memories, Neocolor pencils, etc. The children's menu has more than just chicken nuggets and fries, although that's exactly what ours ordered. But it was nice to read that it could be something different. :-) Was great as always. Even after 4 years, i.e. on Easter Sunday, April 9, 23. Great food and really enjoyed the wild garlic season. Tatar for the kids and the Gnödeli burger were also very tasty. Service top.

Ambiance not great due to temporary renovations. Otherwise everything is fine. I'd love to come back.

We were able to hold our daughter's baptism party in the Gnadenthal restaurant. The party was very well organized and all guests felt welcome at all times. Food was also very good. All in all a very successful festival. Many thanks again to the whole team and see you soon.

We had a small birthday party for a resident. Both the previous organization and the food delivered were flawless. By the way, the service employee was extremely friendly, courteous and attentive.

We celebrated the 90th birthday of our mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and sister-in-law with 48 people in the Reusspark Chalet. We felt very comfortable and well looked after all around and were very satisfied with everything. We would like to thank the service staff for their very friendly, courteous, helpful, prompt and uncomplicated service and support. The atmosphere, the beautiful ambience and the special deck made the celebration particularly festive and cozy. The banquet was beautifully prepared and everyone enjoyed it wonderfully. The children were happy that they were allowed to choose their own food, received a snack with art supplies and enjoyed the playground right next door. The fact that the little birthday child, who also just had his birthday, also got a candle on his dessert was very thoughtful and loving.

We let ourselves be pampered on New Year's Eve 2023. The menu was very good.

We booked the hall in the main building for a birthday party with 60 people. We received competent advice during the preparation phase. There were only compliments from the guests for the varied aperitif, the beautifully presented fresh nut salad, optimally cooked veal cheeks, delicious vegetarian options and the tempting dessert buffet. Likewise for the service team, who accompanied us through the evening in an attentive, prompt and very friendly manner. Thank you very much - we'll be back.

Summer menu: the schnitzel wasn't bad but nothing special either. Just meat with a side dish. No garnish. No vegetables at all on the menu!!! Just salad greens.

We celebrated a family celebration (13 people). Very child friendly. Good, varied food and wine list. Beautifully set table, all dishes presented attractively and excellently prepared. Attentive service. We felt very comfortable. Thank you!

We held three meetings in the seminar rooms and I can only recommend them - they were well equipped and at fair prices. The customer service was also perfect: very courteous and flexible. Gladly again!

We were allowed to have our Christmas dinner in the chalet. Some of us chose the cheese fondue and the others chose the chinoise. The food was very good and the staff was friendly. The ambience in the chalet was nice, but unfortunately there were some places that were drafty, which wasn't as optimal or comfortable. We were also in the restaurant 2 weeks before and we can only recommend it and will come back.

I really enjoy going to the Gnadenthal Restaurant every now and then for dinner or for afternoon coffee in the summer. The food is delicious, lovingly prepared, beautifully presented. The staff was courteous, friendly and not intrusive. I can recommend it with a clear conscience....! It's nice that we have a restaurant like this in our area where the price and performance are right.

We regularly eat here as a couple and have now celebrated a family celebration in a very nice atmosphere, very friendly service and top food. The restaurant is very attentive to children. The children received their food during the starter and each received a small bag with crayons, glue and pictures. Highly recommended for a carefree meal with children.

Ufff. My partner and I had the “pleasure” of celebrating our anniversary in the Gnadenthal yesterday. We chose pumpkin soup and venison schnitzel Mirza. Not a big deal in itself, at least the main course caused the kitchen crew considerable problems. The venison schnitzel was well fried, the spaetzli was carelessly regenerated (they had probably seen the pan on Saturday or Friday). The Brussels sprouts were completely unseasoned/salted and the game cream sauce was out of the package and they were stingy with the cream...a complaint to the service staff led to this My partner's plate was taken away and a "gutsch" cream was poured into the parcel sauce...the plate found its way back into the oven...the venison schnitzel, which would have been tender if handled correctly (and which was no longer when it was served), ended Chewy and overcooked in our bellies. As we all know, hunger is the best cook! Shame on you for charging 44.- per serving. When I asked what happened yesterday. I received this link asking me to rate it. I feel a bit mocked at the moment and will be careful not to bring any money into this "knelle" again.... What a damn impudence!

Very good experience, which fully deserves its 5 stars. The reception was quick and the staff very friendly and smiling. The choice of menus is very wide, the dishes very refined (!), and the presentation very careful. All in an absolutely magnificent setting. The restaurant also has a large, very well appointed terrace and large green spaces. A visit is absolutely recommended.

Our family celebration event took place there and we were totally thrilled. Sonja and Mr. Schwarz looked after us wonderfully. The food absolutely deserves the 5 stars. Thank you again for everything :-)

Very nice digenous restaurant. With a great garden area to linger. There is a nice playground for children and lots of animals to look at.

Great food and a great location

We made reservations a few weeks in advance for a birthday dinner for a smaller group. We were accordingly disappointed when we arrived and were assigned a place in a hall surrounded by children playing around. Since everything else was occupied, we first had to sit outside on a fresh autumnal evening, where we had an aperitif and a starter. After some discussions, at least a free space in another hall was made available for us, and we were then able to sit indoors in the warmth for the further courses. There was nothing to complain about in terms of service. The food was generally good-very good. What impressed me the most was the roe pepper. The buildings in general are very beautiful and the grounds are very well maintained.

that positive in advance; nice staff - prompt - friendly… wonderful gardening - clean location including toilet… negative; chopped with croissants and applesauce (2 tablespoons) ... croissants and soose welded to the plate - unfortunately visibly dried - ugly from the microwave - so visually not a great experience ... Mushroom risotto was (well) okay… Spätzli with onion swiss sounds great - the total disappointment - it's probably a spaetzli bought outside - the onion swiss are fried onions (should be better declared) I'll kindly ignore the quality of the palate - it's solely for nutritional purposes - what a shame! Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not met and everything is written in lower case 😉 … But it could be that the cook was unwell - then get well soon (also) next time!!! … All love and good …

An all around great visit! Everything perfect! Very friendly and attentive service. Even though there were a lot of people, the staff wasn't stressed. The food was fantastic, small menu changes were easily accepted. Price/performance ratio is right. The little guests were treated kindly and humorously and the children's table setting was very sweet and the presents were extremely well received! Everyone present will be happy to come back!

There is a big difference when you are served by trained specialist staff than by untrained temporary help. I really appreciate that and am happy to pay a few francs more than in the "Beiz"... Everything is just right.

We waited 3/4 hour for our food. When we asked, we were put off with flimsy excuses. When we repeatedly asked whether we had been forgotten, this was always answered in the negative. After waiting for over an hour, we asked for the bill without having eaten anything. Mercifully, we were only charged for the drinks we drank. Even though everyone around us who came to the restaurant later and ordered after us got their food before us, they claimed until the end that we hadn't been forgotten. I personally find this dishonesty an absolute non-go! Mistakes happen, no question about it - but standing up and standing there honestly would have been a sign of greatness. We actually wanted to come back next week with a larger bike group - now we're going somewhere else!

Fantastic restaurant. Perfect with kids as there is a playground right next to the outdoor tables. We had a larger group of people with, so we contacted the event team. Everything was organized very professionally and according to our requests. I can only recommend!

The two of us were there again on September 8th, 2023. Ate very delicious tartare in the garden. And we were greeted very friendly and served courteously. We'd love to come back.

Food is generally good, but in my opinion the portions are very manageable for an adult. That was very disappointing. We were by no means full after the lunch menu. Prices in the higher segment also for the lunch menu, which only includes a small salad. Service OK, but could be trained a little more.

Price-performance is not right. A boss of the house is not noticeable. The service staff clears the table so that we sit in front of an empty table. It's a shame about the great location.

We were very surprised by everything for the first time in Gnadenthalund. Very good and great staff. Great terraces and pleasant atmosphere. Good kitchen. We will be back. Everything was great at the Gnadenthal twice too. We had lunch with the residents of a retirement home and everyone was delighted and very satisfied. Everyone returned home happily. We celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary. The service was very friendly. The food was very good, the portions were large. Only my wife's side dish of lemon risotto was a little sticky. However, this small flaw was compensated for by the coffee offered - the complaint management worked perfectly. I can highly recommend the organic buffalo tartare (my starter) and the Wiener schnitzel with veal. The evening was a success.

Dinner: sausage and cheese salad garnished plus fries. Very nice, large, shady terrace. Friendly staff, quick service. Highly recommended. But I would make a reservation next time. 😊

We had dinner with friends at the Gnadenthal restaurant on August 1st. The service was very friendly, competent and accommodating. The various dishes were good, the portions were a bit large in my opinion and it could perhaps have been presented a little nicer, but we were very satisfied and will definitely come back, hopefully in the beautiful garden

Last Sunday we ate with our children and grandchildren in the garden of the Rest. Gnadenthal and had a very positive experience. We felt very welcome. The food excellent! Very friendly, attentive, helpful staff! The children are very spoiled, very child friendly. We are thrilled and will be back. Our son and his family even come from Bünderland!

The staff was friendly and helpful. The starter salad was very nice and a good portion. Unfortunately, the fitness plate had less salad on it than the starter salad, so we found the price-performance ratio to be too high. The other main courses were good.

The ambience and service was very good that evening. Nice table with enough distance from other guests and good shade. All the employees who served us were very nice and attentive. The menu is rather small but nice and emphasis is placed on regional products. This is really great. However: more can be made from the dishes and ingredients. Could be more creative and tasteful. For example, the cheese spaetzli were mediocre - rather bland - but the great Künter cheese can do much more. It's up to the kitchen to use the potential and flavor the dishes. Mixed salad was ok - but nothing special at all. Here you could work with seeds or special oil etc. The strawberry tart for dessert was very tasty. However, here too. The jelly was present in a homeophatic amount and was not at all visible under the mousse. You could easily make the floor yourself instead of buying it. It costs almost nothing - but makes a great impression. The most important thing - if reservations are made in advance and the bread is already on the table - there should be a slice for everyone. There was also only one butter available. Of course you can ask, but these are basics and you have to sit. Much better in the evening would be freshly baked bread from the bakery or other good quality bread and, for example, a homemade herb butter with herbs from the garden, which is served after the drinks service. Or in winter a wintery dip etc. These are details, but they determine whether a restaurant is average or really good. Overall, the visit was nice, we will come again and hopefully be surprised. Prices are completely okay.

We award maximum points for the following reasons. Food is prepared with attention to detail and…super tasty. We had fitness plates with a veggi burger (very tasty and tastes like beef), trout crispy (very fine and crispy breading with an exquisite remoulade sauce) and a burger with bacon. Everything is a pleasure. Service, very nice, professional and courteous. We were lucky to be able to sit outside. Very nicely presented and a super nice scene. All in one, highly recommended. Enjoys it!!!
