Restaurant Gross-Wabern in Köniz

The food was not above average but nicely presented. I had about 80-100g of meat with a few potatoes and 3-4 pieces of vegetables, sauce spread very little over the plate, for 50 francs. After I finished, I wasn't even half full, even with salad and bread. Dessert was a small Johourt glass for 11 francs, not completely full of cream. My neighbor had a tiny piece of chocolate cake for 15 francs. Price performance is not right, the portions are tiny! My counterpart didn't have it any better either. The ambience was visually appealing, but it was really loud, I had to speak loudly to the person I was talking to, which was uncomfortable. Maybe too many tables in a small space. All in all, unfortunately not good, despite nice service. The portions need to be SIGNIFICANTLY larger, very borderline, I feel rather ripped off and will definitely not go back or recommend it to anyone. I regularly go to upscale restaurants and the atmosphere has never been such that you have to shout to be understood, and you go home with an empty wallet, not an empty stomach as well, that's an absolute no go.

We went to this restaurant for dinner organized by the Philippine Embassy, ​​there were amazingly delicious dishes and pleasant service. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and the unique food.

It could be a cozy neighborhood pub. Unfortunately it sees itself as Etepetete gastronomy. :(

Overpriced food. Nothing special, just expensive and small. Inside is nicely decorated though. Maybe ok for a drink.

Very expensive and still amateurish. Not bad in taste. Mini portions.

Pretty much overpriced place. The probs are abnormally small. 17 euros for 2 spoons of food. Also I didn't feel any love or effort put on the food. I had an aubergine parmigiana that was full with paprika, normally it's not in the recipe.

Great new restaurant! I ordered a Pulpo and can wholeheartedly recommend it. The interior design is also incredibly beautiful. Definitely worth a visit!
