I would love to give this restaurant 0 stars, but unfortunately that is not possible. I was there because of a staff outing for my employer. First the positive. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The ambience of the restaurant is simply catastrophic. On the one hand, there are simply too many tables and chairs standing around, there are too many decorative items and other things standing around. Dusting and cleaning would also be something. Then it was cold in the dining area and uncomfortable chairs. Furthermore, the curtains were dirty. In addition, there are simply too many curtains, even the ceiling has fabric panels that are dirty. And the light kept flickering and it was pretty dark. The food was cold and not lovingly prepared. I've had much better Italian food than this. And for desert there was tiramisu with strawberries. Doesn't fit at all and isn't seasonal. It has great potential to change upwards for the better. Cannot recommend this restaurant at all.

We were there for a wedding. I already knew the place but was surprised at how beautiful it was. The owners were very friendly and accommodating!

We went on a sunday, bought two drinks, 4 CHF each. Next day we find out they charged us 16 CHF for two glasses of soda. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. The attention was not good either.

On Sunday at 9 a.m. I parked at Gübsensee. It only had one other car, meaning countless free parking spaces for the restaurant. When we returned after a short jog, I had already received a parking fine. Unbelievable how you deal with potential customers. Me and my friends/family will never consume anything there again.

Unfortunately you can't give 0 stars - not even one star is deserved. The restaurant makes money by exploiting the visitors to Lake Gübsensee. As soon as a vehicle is parked on the site, a fine will be distributed within 5 minutes. Even if you only visit the Gübsen for 10 minutes, you can pay a hefty fine. No wonder there are no more visitors and the restaurant is not very busy. It's a shame, years ago it was a well-attended, nice restaurant under the old owners. And the fact that you have to pay CHF 1.50 for 5 minutes is simply too much. 15 minutes of free parking time would be nice. And if you forget to pay, don't just wait and hand out fines. On this day, buses were distributed to 3 cars after 5 minutes. It would be better to generate income through a well-running restaurant.

Would be very nice here, but it's already closed again (I came here specifically) even though Google Maps says the restaurant should be open!
