A beautiful place in a beautiful location. Price/performance ratio is absolutely top. Great portions for the lunch menu and, for the price, perfect as a lunchtime meal with soup or a small salad. The service staff are always very friendly and always accommodate larger groups without exception.

The lakeside eatery promised a nice atmosphere, but our experience was disappointing. The food was disastrous and consisted of children's portions - the meat was inedible, the sauce was prepackaged, and the side dish was a barely edible piece of bread with potatoes in it. The salad was a mini portion of endive with some corn - all of this at totally inflated prices. The service staff was unfriendly, overwhelmed and disinterested, especially given our group of 18. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant. If a 0 star rating were possible, that would be appropriate.

We were there with 18 people (Leidmahl) and had the weekly menu. The meat tasted like dog food and there were indefinable slices of bread, probably leftovers from the day before in the same color as the canned food and a few beans. The portion wouldn't even fill a child. The salad consisted of a bit of endive and a tablespoon of corn kernels. The service also left a lot to be desired, either they forgot the order or brought it wrong. I'm not surprised that there are no guests with such offers and these prices. It's a shame about the beautiful restaurant. We'll definitely never come again

Good morning Ms. C.B., after your answer I would like to add 5 points to my initial rating below: 1. Being environmentally conscious is a credit to you, but think again about the argument. They serve poor quality products in aluminum and plastic bowls. Is this sustainable and environmentally conscious? Think about mason jars. Wonderful, high-quality products can be served in portions. 2. Before you go to great lengths to respond to negative reviews so that it doesn't look so stupid on the internet, going to the guest or making a nice gesture would have been much more effective. 3. The sign in the entrance area should be changed so that some fresh and regional products are served and some are not. Now it is a deception that would have consequences if someone were to take legal action for this. 4. There are bakers in Romanshorn that offer fresh bread rolls. This means less packaging waste and tastes better. They are certainly interested in supplying you. 5. Thanks for the invitation, but no thanks and all the best! We were here for breakfast. We expected fresh and regional products, as indicated in the entrance area. Unfortunately there was jam, butter, honey and Nutella only from 'packages', no fresh orange juice, eggs partly from a tetra pack and baked rolls. Unfortunately, the friendly service, who found this unpleasant and the nice atmosphere, couldn't make up for it. There was no accommodation, which is also the reason for the assessment made. Not recommended if you want good quality food for breakfast. That's really a pity...

Depending on the service person, you have to wait forever to be able to place an order. This morning it happened again. I waited on the terrace for about 15 minutes to order something. When no one made an effort after this time, I changed the restaurant without having accomplished anything. The brasserie right next to the train station is a good address with friendly and attentive service. Since it unfortunately wasn't the first time it happened in the harbor restaurant, I decided to give some feedback here.

The restaurant was closed on Friday at around 9 p.m

Ate pumpkin soup. Service was nice. Soup was okay too. It tasted more like beans to me than pumpkin, hence 3.5. The consistency was more like vegetable soup and not cream soup.

We met friends and had something with them. We were served very quickly and friendly and what we ordered was served promptly. The waiter was also there to pay - we absolutely had to catch our train.

Restaurant - cafe very close to the train station [ three minutes ] I had a glass of ice cream with fruit [ 12 francs]. The place is very nice next to the water. They don't have wifi.

Breakfast on a Sunday morning outside on a large terrace. View of the departing scheduled ships. Very extensive breakfast with fresh different rolls, meat, cheese, etc. At a reasonable price.

Tasty food in the pleasant setting of the port of Lake Constance

Nice restaurant at the harbor. Food isn't bad, but it doesn't stand out. Sometimes the portions are very small. There are plenty of fish crispies, but they are baked too tightly. Vegetables with it are bland. If you don't take a carbohydrate side dish, it would have been great if you had more vegetables in your plate. Service was very attentive.

Pork steak and pork tenderloin don't have to be tough! I recommend bringing your own sauce, then it might be easier to chew. For the prices you should be able to expect more.

My worst experience in two weeks stay at Switzerland. Very limited choices, bad service and no taste.

Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment.

It's a very good location. The beautifully designed jetty with a view of the harbor is a dream 🤩. I come here regularly and am a regular guest, so to speak. Last night I wasn't served at table 215 outside for 1/2 hour. There were enough waiters and it was normally full. I found it very special. That's why only three stars for service 😏.

Lunch at HAFEN restaurant. The zander crispy with pizokel as a side dish is highly recommended. Great location right next to Romanshorn train station right on the lake.

Food very tasty. Portions were appropriate. Price performance fits. Reservation is worth it. Just be patient if it's very full and it'll just take a little longer. But I think it's completely okay.

Good service and friendly. Also all orders were very good. Unfortunately, the lime cheesecake was really not good. He was still frozen. When asked, it was said that it was intended as a sorbet, but this is not stated on the menu. But it wasn't good as a sorbet either.

Pretty restaurant at the harbor in Romanshorn. Closer would be in the water😉. Were not disappointed. Price/performance is 100 percent right. The only negative point: you might have to wait a little longer for the food you ordered. But you can marvel at the view of the ships and the hustle and bustle at the harbor basin. And we definitely recommend making a reservation.

Very tasty food, nice atmosphere. Were there for dinner. Not easy to find if you don't come by boat and unfortunately there are no bicycle parking spaces on site. Service was friendly but a bit slow.

The staff was friendly, but unfortunately they forgot to ask if we wanted cutlery for the fries and we had to ask specifically for napkins. They didn't ask if they wanted ketchup or mayo with the fries, they simply served ketchup already bottled. That means if it hasn't been touched, it's simply thrown away. I think it's a bit wasteful, especially in today's foodwaist time. Fries themselves were good and served nicely in a mini frying basket.

Really great atmosphere (right at the harbor, close to the train station and parking spaces). It has seating inside, outside in the open air and outside with sun protection. The service was very friendly and flexible, although this does not apply to everyone in the service (sometimes things were forgotten/didn't understand). Food is good, but the selection for vegetarians and especially vegans is tiny.

Solid, fine restaurant with good fish and seasonal risotto. When the weather is nice, there is an outdoor area with a view of the quays. The portions are occasionally a bit small.

Very nice restaurant, as the name suggests, right in the harbor of Romanshorn. The place is pretty, with maritime decorations and classic porthole windows. Seasonal cuisine at absolutely fair prices.

Already been there twice. Both the pork steak and the braised veal were very tasty. The dessert is also worth it.

Had a menu for lunch today. There was potato gratin with red cabbage. All I can say is it was very good. Well-seasoned red cabbage and the gratin was just right in consistency. I would have actually added meat, but since I only wanted vegetarian, I left out the meat. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant. In a ship look!

Delicious and cool atmosphere. Well crowded and therefore a bit noisy. But overall recommended

The restaurant, which is close to the train station, is also worth a visit during Advent. Christmas atmosphere, mulled wine, cozy. Friendly staff, unfortunately it was raining. Fireplaces in bar tables warmed us against the cold.

On Wednesday evening I went to this restaurant with a colleague at 8:20 p.m. as I often do...it's very nice and we've always been satisfied so far. We ordered a drink and looked at the menu. When the waitress noticed this, she came to us to inform us that the kitchen was closed. 4 employees behind the bar staff in the kitchen and no desire to work and in these times when restaurants that have survived should be grateful for every guest.

Very friendly attentive staff. The restaurant was very busy, definitely make a reservation. The food was also very good, you get 3 dl mineral water for free with the menu, and they also serve coffee at a cheaper price. If we're in the area, we'll come back.

Top service and helpful when it comes to information about ferry departures. Gladly again another time.

Even without a reservation, we found space at a table as a group of 11 people!!

Update September 25, 2022 Everything is shut down towards winter. Staff is new, map too. Menus reduced, service overwhelmed, prices high (Wiener Schnitzel 38 CHF and the meat laced with tendons). It seems like you can only drink something but the waitresses don't notice you. It's a shame...hope things will get better again in the summer. Very nice, even with a dog you know what to do. Food was quick, good and okay for the location. The fifth star is given when the result is confirmed again :-)

A beautiful place. It's a shame that the kitchen isn't convincing. The meat I ordered was well done. The piece that was fried again was not saignant again. They didn't think an apology was necessary either...

Prices are probably pretty high for us Germans... a burger with fries €28+ Wow.. it's almost worth taking the ferry back and eating in DE.. Nevertheless, the service was friendly, the food was delicious and there was a great atmosphere. The restaurant is also an eye-catcher from the inside! Great clean sanitary facilities!

Nice location at the harbor, very friendly service, very small, mini pulled burger. About 1 tablespoon of meat, 1 limp slice of pickle, mini rolls and bland vegetables for 27.50 francs. Below average quality with an unacceptable price-performance ratio. A pity!

Bad service. Lunch (daily menu) took 30 minutes to be served. It wasn't worth the money either. I won't do it a second time.

Nice place to eat at the harbor, good menu and friendly service

A few weeks ago I ordered the hit of the week, Thai Curry. I was very pleased and was really disappointed with what I got. It was more of a rice casimir instead of a Thai curry. If you serve it like that, please just call it Reis Casimir. It had nothing in common with Thai curry
