Nice to have an excellent restaurant with truly local cuisine in such a beautiful setting!

I took my lunch break there. First time in this restaurant. Food very good Service, very good. Ambience wasn't my thing, but that's a matter of taste.

Very good traditional cuisine at affordable prices. Friendly service with knowledge of German. Large parking lot in front of the restaurant, which can be used free of charge by guests. The last stop of tram line number 3 is just opposite. If you've drunk a little too much alcohol, you can safely go back to the city center.

As a family we visited the Hard restaurant this afternoon. We had an excellent meal and really appreciated the great price-performance ratio! We always enjoy coming back and can highly recommend a visit to the Hard restaurant. Great and friendly service.

The meat was very tender, the fries were crispy and fresh, and the portions were very generous. The service was very nice and friendly despite the large rush on Saturday evening. We would be happy to come back and can recommend the home-style food to everyone.

Located at the terminus of tram line 3, therefore very easy to reach. Rich menu, large portions, everything very tasty. Friendly service, child-friendly, nice beer garden. A guesthouse to feel good that leaves nothing to be desired. Civilian Swiss prices.

I'm there more often. The food is excellent (...the Cordon Bleu!!!) at reasonable prices. The garden restaurant under the trees is extremely cozy, although it is a bit noisy due to the traffic on Blätzbumser Hauptstrasse - but there is plenty of parking space at the restaurant. The service could be better (more attentive and friendlier) - it just depends on the service you're in and their mood at the moment.

My personal opinion that I have experienced is as follows: At around 5 p.m. we visited the Restaurand Hard, in our work clothes, I asked the waiter if there was still a place available for an after-work drink,,,,, We were offered the round table at the entrance by the waiter (with the comment from the waiter that the table would be occupied from 5:30 p.m. onwards) Now in the meantime the reserved tables have slowly filled up (but there were still no guests at our table.) . There were also free tables on the outside terrace, Now about the operation I have to say, it wasn't the way I wanted it, Workers are apparently not seen by the staff as potentially good guests (payers). "I would like to contact the landlord about this, that craftsmen, pensioners, etc., can also be wealthy guests." With over 25 years of service experience (insurance consultant) I simply received a completely different service. With this I would like to make my statement known to you. It should be a suggestion to the staff and the restaurateur that there are also guests who view things more critically. The food is delicious, home-style cooking. Rather older guests (Friday evening). It's nice to sit outside, chairs are ok. We sat pretty much in the middle of the outside area, which I didn't like because of the many smokers around us, including those with cigars. If I made a reservation, I would prefer a table at the edge. Price per person ~40 CHF

Despite the many customers, the staff remains very polite and competent. Nice choice of röstis which are also excellent. The breaded slices of veal are also excellent.

Simply furnished restaurant with a lovely garden area if the weather permits. The service was friendly but unfortunately a little stressful. There is also a lack of a healthy number of employees here. So we had to wait a lot. The menu is generous and the dishes ordered were very tasty.

The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside. But the food was great! We had beef and it was cooked to perfection. It flew off the tongue! The portions were generous. It was nice that the vegetables for the main course were fresh and not typical frozen vegetables. The service was very friendly and good. As a tip: the map should be a little smaller. Less is more here. Adjustment 2023: I suspect the staff/owners have changed. The vegetables are now frozen and have little to no seasoning. You can't really finish the salad because the main course is coming. Why the stress? The resti was a third full. The Formula 1 race is blaring loudly in the back. I am changing it from 5 to 3 stars.

We celebrated our mother's birthday dinner here with friends and relatives (approx. 20 people), who had turned 90. We were there for lunch on a Sunday and even though the restaurant was full, we received excellent service. We were able to use the hall, which is well suited for a company of this size. We had discussed the menu and the decoration beforehand and everything worked out wonderfully. We liked the food and a lot of it was homemade, which we really appreciated. We would like to come again!

Despite reservations for a meeting, we had to stay in the main restaurant because the small hall was still promised despite promises.

Very good food and pleasant staff! The Cordon Bleu is always super delicious, regardless of whether it's turkey or pork! Also the lamb entrecote and the vegetable plate. And the hot stone from the table next door was also a real eye-catcher!

The Hard restaurant in Birsfelden Right next to the final stop of line 3 of the Basel public transport company and right on the anniversary path of both Basels, there is the Hard restaurant, which is ideal and "go for ice cream" when you are waiting for the tram or are hiking. The beautiful garden terrace is certainly a plus point of this restaurant. However, you have to dig deeper into your wallet, as 5dl of cola costs 5.80 francs. Otherwise recommended.

The Schnipo is very tasty here, a well-attended, cozy pub!

The food was very good and the portions were large. We ordered schnitzel with fries and lamb entrecote in pepper sauce with vegetables. Large selection of dishes. Restaurant was very well attended. The waiting time can be relatively long as there are only 2 people in the kitchen and the restaurant including the garden is relatively large.

The service at table 6 was very friendly and accommodating. The food tasted good. Considering the price/performance ratio, it is questionable. My wife had risotto with various mushrooms but there was only mushrooms in it even though it was marked as various mushrooms on the menu. I had the beef fillet on the heissenstein, with vegetables and fries and 3 different sauces, garlic, cocktail with chili and herb butter, none of which were homemade. It's a shame some of the vegetables were fresh and from the freezer (carrots). Considerable for the price. The beef fillet was, however Very good and of good quality.

Every now and then we go to Hard to eat with work colleagues during the lunch break. Super varied and affordable lunch menus with salad and soup in advance. The service is very quick and friendly. All in all great!, please keep it up!

The garden spaces were full and everyone wanted to eat. A big compliment from the young lady who, with many helpers from the restaurant to the kitchen, helped us to serve our guests brilliantly from start to finish. My wienerschnitzel was excellent. Since I was surrounded by happy faces, I assume that everyone enjoyed their food just as much. A small note: Paper for drying your hands should not be missing. The guests used toilet paper out of necessity.

Authentic typical Swiss local restaurant for Swiss food prepared with (of course) Swiss products. NB! Cheese fondue, raclette and similar dishes such as some game and poultry and possibly other dishes are almost always seasonal.

We were there 3 weeks ago and were very disappointed. Price performance is no longer right at all. Today we were extremely spontaneous and wanted to meet up at Hard for a beer and have a bite to eat. Today we were disabused of this and decided to avoid this restaurant forever. There wasn't much going on either. 4 tables occupied inside and one table outside. After 20 minutes of staying and still no drink, we got up to leave. Of course we complained about this to the staff. We were laughed at by an employee who came out to smoke and the young lady told us to leave the restaurant. You can't handle criticism. This restaurant remains taboo for us.

Unfortunately you have to give at least 1 star here otherwise you cannot express your opinion here. I would really like to give no star. We've had bad experiences several times now, always "hoping" it would be better on the next visit, now it's done! The service has dropped massively, not to mention the friendliness!!! The price-performance ratio also leaves a lot to be desired. The salad with the Fitness Cordon Bleu is getting smaller and smaller and the cheese in the Cordon Bleu is definitely not “real” cheese. And no raclette cheese either, as the waiter said. We will definitely not recommend or visit this restaurant.

Chilled dinner... Once upon a time... Unfortunately! The quality of the food has deteriorated significantly, and you won't find friendly service. And if, after sitting in the restaurant for 25 minutes and not being noticed, you ask why everyone else is being served and our table isn't, you'll be insulted and thrown out of the restaurant. What the new tenant is doing to this place is so sad... In any case, you won't see me there again
