We followed a recommendation for Thai food and found this restaurant in Reutigen. We were greeted very friendly. The guest room is simply designed, a normal village pub. There is also a separate hall and a beer garden. The service is very attentive. The menu is very extensive and includes Swiss and Thai cuisine. I had crispy duck with rice and vegetables. This crispy duck deserves its name... super tasty. A restaurant to recommend. Ambience only got 4 stars because the TV dominated and the furnishings were very bare. But that's my opinion.

My favourite is the crispy honey duck & tom yum (prawn/shrimp soup), the sweet sour is also good. Pretty big portion, because it's Asian, I usually share 2-3 dish with 3 person and add extra rice (they serve it on a small candle stove). The European dish portion is even bigger! If you like spicy, they have various chili. Mango sorbet is yummy! Price are much more affordable compared to other Asian restaurants. On Sunday's very crowded, need to reserve.

Nach langem Lock Down konnten wir endlich wieder im Hirschen essen gehen! Die Terrasse ist offen und alle Schutz Massnahmen werden eingehalten. Zur Vorspeise bestellten wir einmal einen Gemischten Salat und einmal Crevetten im Teig frittiert. Als Hauptgang bestellte meine Frau Pouletflügeli und Pommes und ich Pferdefilet vom heissen Stein und Pommes. Die Speisen waren hervorragend gekocht und schmeckten ausgezeichnet. Das Personal war wie immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Viele Gäste genossen die Frühlingssonne und das gute Essen. Endlich kann man wieder im Restaurant auf der Terrasse essen und geniessen. Wir werden wieder kommen. Es hat immer genügend Parkplätze frei.

Noch immer sind die Restaurant wegen dem Lock Down geschlossen. Aber man kann im Hirschen Kapf gute Menus a la Karte und durch die Woche Mittagsmenus als Take away abholen. Bestellen mit Anruf und dann Abholen. Das Menu war auf die Minute genau abholbereit. Die gebratene gelbe Nudeln mit Eiern und Gemüse und dazu Crevetten waren sehr gut gekocht und schmecken ausgezeichnet! Was wir vermissen und fehlt ist die Ambiente und die freundliche Bedienung in der Gaststube! Take away ist eine gute alternative und wir können den Hirschen Kapf sehr empfehlen für gute Qualität und gutes Essen. Man sollte in dieser harten Zeit die Restaurateure in der Schweiz unterstützen und ab und zu ein Take away holen!
