Absolutely outstanding quality! Both the pizzas and the Greek specialties are outstanding... although I had no idea that both were possible with this level of authenticity and quality. A real insider tip on Axis Street, just 5 minutes from Brunnen and can be reached by train or car.

Good pizza, great service and familiar atmosphere.

We wanted to go out for pizza and ended up in Sisikon by chance. In a cozy restaurant we discovered Kritharaki on the menu, a Greek pasta recipe made with octopus - served with a Greek salad. We were so impressed by the organic olive oil used in the salad that we also bought a small supply. The fresh pizza bread served with the salad alone provides a reason to come back. We will definitely try the pizzas on our next visit. Big compliments to the kitchen. A glass of the excellent Greek red wine Nasos and a very special espresso round off our lunch.

Superb food, mix of Greek and Italian dises. Absolute best pizza bread ever, fresh food, warm and authentic service. We found this restaurant on our way to Como, entered at 2:30pm, and luckily they still served us.

This is a must visit place when you’re here in Switzerland! One of the best pizzas I ever tasted! 😍 The restaurant is so beautiful and peaceful.

We had a delicious meal here with a very attentive owner! When ordering our main course we were informed that it was quite a lot for 2 people. I left out the salad and indeed, after sharing the mezze, the souvlaki was (more) than enough. The (Greek) red wine was also delicious.

Completely forgotten on site after the starter, waited almost an hour for the main course. If we hadn't drawn attention to ourselves, it wouldn't have been noticed. We received a generous discount on the bill as compensation. However, this does not appear to have been an isolated case. When we pre-ordered the next one for pickup, the pizza hadn't even been started yet. Delicious food back and forth, the service is not good at all.

Spontaneous but right decision to eat here while passing through; Stefanos responded to our wishes and we were surprised with Greek flair. We would be happy to come back when specialties are cooked at the weekend. Keep it up🤩

Yesterday, June 29th, 2023, we had a team event pizza dinner with 19 people in the Lantern. Mixed salad fresh and crunchy with very good salad dressing, pizzas fresh and crispy with great toppings, homemade dough with sourdough... delicious! Best pizzas ever! Dessert plate with homemade millefeuille and chocolate mousse beautifully served with fruit! Incomparably delicious and so fresh! Super friendly and courteous service. The atmosphere is relaxed and familiar and yet professional. We felt very comfortable and can only recommend the lantern. 💖💖💖

We arrived in Sisikon while passing through. Because of the good reviews so far, we came across the pizzeria and took a seat in the outdoor area. After 30 minutes of disregard, we left again. Definitely not a recommendation. Bad service.

Great pizza after a hike in the area. The main drawback is the proximity to the busy road. It's compensated by a nice view of the church and the mountains.

The restaurant has a new host. The reopening was in the middle of September. In the meantime we have been there twice. The filet on the hot stone is a recommendation, suvlaki and pizzas are good and tasty. The service staff very friendly and courteous. We will be happy to come back and wish a successful start. Update: since the first visit in mid-September we have been here another 3x. Stefanos and team have improved continuously. Service as well as food were always refined and parallel new creations from the Greek cuisine were introduced.

I was surprised to have such a good restaurant again after the change of ownership. Whether Italian or Greek, very, very good. This tzatzi is so feminine, like in Greece, great!! Definitely try it, you will be surprised. Also very good service. Also the pizzas, what a feast! The dough is fantastic, of course like the old Italians, made with Lievito madre (yeast).

Perfect...good quality and taste

We ordered two pastas and grilled vegetables. After an hour we got a super small portion of vegetables, about 1/2 of zucchini and 1/3 of obergies. Then everyone would be informed that there are not enough people and gas in the kitchen and we still have to wait for food. We were disappointed and the waitress told us that if we weren't happy we had to leave. So, we didn't get any food, had to pay 30 francs for drinks and 1/2 Obergieen and wasted the whole hour. I find it absolutely unacceptable that no one apologized in such a situation and that we were practically thrown away from the restaurant. There can be a bit of trouble in the kitchen, but service must always behave professionally and politely. And of course, never tell hungry and disappointed customers that they have to leave. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to this pizzeria.

Unfortunately, absolutely terrible service. After 40 minutes a starter arrived which tasted ok. With only 7 guests in the entire restaurant, it was an incomprehensibly long time. Unfortunately, the waitress wasn't particularly polite towards the guests and the rest of the staff and reacted extremely irritably by telling them that they could leave if they didn't want to wait. It was a disappointing experience. The restaurant should be completely restructured.

Even after the change of ownership from Bruno and Maria to Mario, it is still a great restaurant. The rooms are beautifully and appropriately renovated, and the Italian chef Fabio makes one of the best pizzas with fresh, fragrant bread dough from the wood-fired oven. He also makes daily specials such as a buttery Osso Buco etc. Definitely worth a visit again!

The pizzas are great, unfortunately the service is very slow and tends to forget things - but maybe we just got the wrong day... The restaurant is located right on the main street, so it can get loud if you sit outside. Otherwise it's really nice - the interior is also very tasteful and the prices are okay for Switzerland.

I'll start with the criticism: The salad is too big and you have to mix the sauce (Italian only) yourself... Since I'm not a cook, I had a huge bowl of bitter salad and a very strong sauce. The menu includes mixed salad or mixed leaf salad. We ordered both things but we all got the same thing. The music was too loud. Luckily, the Sonos speakers have practical buttons. The preparation of the pizzas only began when the salad had already been cleared away. Positive: Very nice atmosphere (except music) and very clean. Everything is relatively new and modern. The pizza was good. The parking lot is large, but has no fields marked, which is a little irritating.

The best stone oven pizza ever!!! Upon request, I was allowed to personally change the ingredients of my pizza. The service was very hospitable and accommodating! Everything very fresh and delicious. Thanks!!!

Because the take-away pizza was once so fantastic, we made a special trip with our family to this restaurant to show what good pizza there is in Switzerland. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Already on the phone we said, aha Germans... We have pre-booked a table on the terrace for 12 people. When I asked for fries with the schnitzel, it was harshly pointed out that this was a pizzeria and that you had to go to a restaurant to get a side of fries. Now I'm reading about the Lantern restaurant here.:D. Well. The salad we ordered (when asked if there was also salad, not on the menu) was a bowl of spotty iceberg lettuce. When asked about dressing, the oil and vinegar from the discounter L. was pointed out on the table. There were also almost empty spice oils in small. Bottles but they didn't look so appetizing anymore. The dressing I ordered was hardly edible because it was sour. The pizzas were very black on the outside (which can sometimes happen with a wood oven) and very watery in the middle. A mistake that a Gorgonzola pizza with mozzarella came to the table could have been overlooked. All human. Be careful, however, with a Quattro Stagioni pizza where the olives are not immediately visible under the ham...the olives are served with seeds. However, what gave us the most pause was the overwhelmed, inflexible and sometimes rude staff. Everything had to be asked for, not the slightest recommendation. Not interested or overwhelmed? Finally, it was pointed out that in Switzerland you pay in francs. We're not tourists ourselves, but we were happy to show off a great pizzeria/restaurant when we were visiting abroad! Very embarrassing for us and a great shame for the location. So we won't be coming back and unfortunately we can't recommend it.

Not everything is going well here yet. You have to mix the salad dressing for the prepackaged salad yourself. The service specialist seems to have forgotten her job during the lockdown and is clearly overwhelmed. Whether you get the food you ordered is a matter of luck. However, the pizzas and the rest of the food are okay. The pizzaiolo was clearly trying to make amends for the numerous mistakes in a friendly manner. However, I can only give it 2 stars at this point.

Food was great, we ordered pizza & pasta and both were really tasty! Service was great too, they spoke German, English and Italian. Toilets were very clean as well. Worth a visit!

The waitress seemed lost to me. Only had a small bottle. Beer with alcohol and it was also expired. When the date was pointed out, the answer came that he (service) had only been working for a week. Main courses were not served at the same time. The first ones had already finished eating when the pizza was finally served. Too bad... 🤔

We visited the Laterne on November 14th 2020. Overall, we were very impressed by the high quality of the food. We tried: Vitello tonnato, Prosciutto di Parma con melone, Spaghetti frutti di mare, Pizza Margherita. The desert was great, too (but sorry, I forgot what it was).

Das Essen und der Service sind super hier. Ich werde definitiv wieder kommen und es auch gerne weiterempfehlen.

Bellissima l’accoglienza “latina” unita ad una cucina mediterranea pronta a seguire le particolarità di ogni cliente. Nel cuore della Svizzera. Bravi!!!
