Working close by since a while, and definitely my favorite for lunch. Always take one of the two Plats du Jour, and without exception spot on creative, fresh and delicious. Service may not be always perfect, but who cares when it’s with a smile!

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of Restaurant le Trinquet. Nested next to an industrial/business/shopping area, it attracts a diverse crowd and is lively. The waiters show goodwill and are often hired from unemployment agency as I understand. Food is classic but good in quality and quantity. I tried a veal cut that was cooked as desired and the sides were tasty. I also took a tea with mini-desserts and all three mini-ones were good though one had a little but dry dough. Overall a good option if you are in the area for any reason.

Scandalous that a waitress dares to complain when we ask her after an hour of waiting where is the dish that was ordered for her 3 days in advance and that she allows herself to answer incorrectly and then pretends to have answered kindly! When thanks to her we leave without eating! Avoid wasting your time in this restaurant!

I had the opportunity to eat at Le Trinquet restaurant in Geneva and was delighted with my dining experience. The quality of the dishes was excellent and I particularly recommend the Parmentier and the paella which I tasted. Everything was perfectly prepared and accompanied by delicious flavors. I was also impressed by the team's professional and attentive service. The warm and friendly atmosphere of the restaurant helped make my meal even more enjoyable. Friendly acacia restaurant. The staff is pleasant and very helpful. The food is good but... only 2 dishes are vegetarian, too basic: torteloni or tofu... The desserts are creative and excellent.

As soon as we arrive to be served, incredible and attentive staff are waiting to welcome us properly. A salad that is really very diverse and tastes very good despite the small surplus of vinegar. The bread is soft and we can even choose it from different varieties. As for the main dishes, just incredibly good. A meat between rare and just tender in the mouth. A sauce (wild garlic butter) that I'm not a big fan of but tastes very good. Fries were sometimes too salty and in which I had the impression that some came from frozen. Maybe it's just an illusion I had. The vegetables in my dish were very unusual, juicy and tasty. And a small salad to accompany it all. When choosing dessert, I let the waiter recommend one and it was simple visually while being complex in the preparation. I don't regret having discovered it and I plan to return there very soon.

Let's not talk about the service trying to be classy, ​​it's a failure. Let's talk about the hamburger. A slice of undercooked meat when requested rare with a few onion rings. The sauce ? Well no. You are provided with mustard, ketchup and mayo. As for the cheese cake, I'm still laughing about it, green...

Generally good, there are sometimes unpleasant surprises on the plate, like a poorly washed salad, or some poorly washed seafood. The service is a little random, as the aim of the restaurant is to employ people at the end of their rights, but the supervision by specialists is good and we are generally rarely disappointed.

Good but too expensive for the quantities served

By somewhat copying the Carlsberg ad: "Probably, one of the best meat restaurants in the World". Yes, okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration: the World is a vast place. But this restaurant is definitely one of the best places to eat high quality meat. From Geneva, from French-speaking Switzerland, from Switzerland, it doesn't matter: the meat, particularly the beef fillet, is extraordinary in terms of tenderness, taste, cooking and garnishes. The restaurant does not look like much: located in an industrial zone, housed in what could be an old warehouse, it is nevertheless expertly managed by a group or a cooperative which is responsible for integration into the world of work people who have had employment difficulties, if I understand correctly. As a result, one might expect staff to be gray and unmotivated, almost mechanical and soulless. Well, it's quite the opposite! Without being real hospitality professionals, all the servers are very motivated, friendly, open, efficient and with the desire to learn and provide quality service. Other “pro” restaurants could take example. Such quality in such an atypical place has to be paid for, it's true: the restaurant is not particularly economical. But it's worth the detour!

Sorry, I'm going to spoil the mood. Yes the concept is good. Yes, the service is OK (it's not that it's particularly good, it's normal. It's the service in other restaurants that is pitiful). On the other hand, the primary mission of a restaurant, that is to say to feed, is not fulfilled at Trinquet. Two tiny slices of meat with 4 vegetables, despite the presentation, it's not nourishing. Well yes, it feeds the owner's pocket, because the prices are well filled. Since the ratio (quality*quantity)/Price borders on a scam, I leave 2* for the efforts made on the service.
