Friendly service, Good dinner. Only surprise “Omakase” course you can have, but they offer some flexible options including vegetarian menu. It seems to be a bit expensive, need to be better. You may feel potential of them but some dish is missing something like balance of taste, some of them is too salty. The wine selection is great.

We were a bit disappointed with the Rubino restaurant. The food (menu Surprise) was okay, but nothing more. You should definitely ask about the price beforehand, we paid 255 francs for the menu with two sparkling wines and a coffee! 36 francs of which are just for tap water! We drank 3.5 liters of tap water and the 1L carafe costs a whopping 10 Fr.! And that's not a flat rate, but even if it's refilled with 1L of tap water, you pay another 10 francs, which I find quite cheeky. Conclusion: food ok, prices too high, prefer champagne to water (a glass costs 11.-, a carafe of water 10.-).

Dense clafouti with grainy over whipped cream. Lastly the German Chardonnay has a single note with not much character. Overall a big disappointment especially on the service given the price charged. Would not recommend t anyone.
