Beautiful view and good accommodation options for the mountain tour to the Uri Rotstock. Unfortunately it is rather shady and it gets cold quickly in the evenings. Food is okay, but nice service.

This is a family run operation including the Musenalp gondola that gets you up here. ( You have to hand crank a phone to get gondola service ). I believe it was 14 CHF ( about $14 ) for a round trip.Despite the english/german language barrier, the waitress was quite helpful and even took me to see an example of the pastry that I had questions about. Because the family has a herd of cows here, they make their own cheese as well. The whipped cream on my pastry was very good and rich.I can't really comment on the view as it was mostly foggy while up here. There is an outdoor eating area which I'm sure is wonderful when the view and temperature are right.

Das Bergrestaurant ist unser Geheimtipp in Uri und eine erfreuliche Abwechslung zu den bekannten und viel besuchten Hütten in der Ostschweiz.Alles in Allem genossen wir 2 sehr erholsame Tage in den Bergen und kommen bestimmt wieder auf die Musenalp.
