It's a shame...1.Recommended a fine house aperitif, came to our table in a rude manner again...it's no longer there🙄2.I ordered venison fillet and got two (leftovers) of venison fillet on the plate. Where did the middle piece go? No one was there to say goodbye... 🙄

Reserved a table for two for a birthday and asked the boss on the phone to decorate the table a bit. When we arrived, the boss led us to the table without congratulating us. A few metal confetti lay carelessly on the table as decoration. When refilling the wine, twice only one person was given a refill, the third time I asked for the new child to be refilled too, and again no congratulations were given. About 15 minutes after the coffee, a small muffin with a candle arrived as a gift. Overall, we were disappointed with this evening, especially since some of the staff were not attentive and not very friendly.

We only had something to drink, so I can't say what the food was like. Either way, Niesenberg is a beautiful place.

Our favorite restaurant in the region! Children's special requests are always taken into account. Bearnaise sauce is world class! Vegetables are always a bit crunchy and the desserts are also sumptuous. We love it…

Great atmosphere, very tasty food and courteous staff. Getting there is a bit complicated. Unfortunately, the way there is not well marked and the navigation system always finds a new route. But it's worth it, we were very happy with everything every time.

Review 2023 with new photos: Service was now significantly better than last year, everything was perfect, in keeping with the country inn, uncomplicated, super friendly, flawless, excellent. The meal, Chateaubriand, with fries and vegetables was perfect. The starter of marinated salmon was also delicious. The coconut-carrot soup was spicy, there was no lack of taste here, but the eye eats with it. Instead of just wine, brown-orange broth on the plate, a little crème fraîche or a dollop of cream with matching greens would have been a step better. Desserts the usual on the menu, iced coffee, meringue, sorbets. When it comes to ice cream, the excellent yoghurt ice cream can be recommended. Overall, I give 2023 4 stars Review summer 2022: Our reservation was quickly confirmed by email. We were warmly welcomed to this very beautiful place and escorted to the table; it was Easter Sunday. After that everything went very slowly. After 10 minutes we were able to order the drinks, 10 minutes later the water was brought, another 5 minutes later 4 glasses of champagne, but we had ordered white wine. We ordered 1 vegi menu, 1 chef menu, 1 tasting menu and 1x individual. The 3 starters of asparagus salads were very small, they looked more like small menu salads from our canteen 😉, the dressing was good. Then came the soup, 3x wild garlic, 1x asparagus, the asparagus soup was served to the wrong person. The main courses were all completely ok, the highlight was the sauce for the corn poularde, the red wine with it, La Regola, great. There was another mix-up from the service when it came to dessert. Overall, the multi-course meat menus were ok, the vegetarian menu was just ok. The dessert was amazing, both in terms of taste and appearance. The artificial vanilla ice cream with the strong yellow tone is rather repulsive. The Etons mess, no experience in terms of taste and loveless. The 3 stars are for the location, the wine and the sauces. There is a deduction for service and presentation, although the service was unsatisfactory. That's a shame, the employee was probably very hard working and friendly, but she always seemed extremely stressed and overwhelmed. That's why there was a very nice tip for her, as we had the impression that it wasn't the employee who was the problem, but rather good management in service and perhaps savings on staff? Yes, and the cuisine clearly lags behind the beauty of the restaurant, the place promises more than what the palate remembers in terms of taste. So overall the price-performance ratio is not right. We'll still come back because the location and the whole property are so beautiful, but not for food. Overall I give 2022 3 stars.

Simply a top address if you want to celebrate something. We have been coming here 2 to 3 times a year for several years. I'm an absolute fan of the fillet on the stone. This is simply sensational. But the Niesenberg has also been impressing with its creative and original vegetarian offerings for some time now. This is worth its weight in gold these days because most rural restaurants have not yet recognized the trend of the times. Not so in Niesenberg. So hats off and please keep it up. We'll be back soon.

When booking, the gentleman couldn't tell us if the card would still be current when we came shortly! The place, surrounded by nature, is particularly relaxing. We visited the horses and the lady in charge was very friendly. Welcome to the restaurant and friendly service even if not particularly professional. The dishes were good but the quantity very limited. What a shame, it doesn't make you want to come back.

Just how it's supposed to be for a quite dinner.

A beautiful restaurant. An experience in every weather and every season. The service is top and the food is excellent. The surrounding area is perfect for taking a walk and the kids are busy with the farm animals or on the playground. If it were a little closer, we would go more often ☺️

I've eaten more in the Niesenberg restaurant. The Leberli, the hot stone and the Chateaubriand are particularly delicious and highly recommended. The ambience on the upper floor is unique and almost unbeatable. It couldn't be more rustic. I have to allow myself a small criticism: the mixed salad clearly has too many pickled salads for me. Carrots, beetroot, cucumbers, radishes, cabbages, nothing crunchy. It still has crunchy leaf lettuce, but not enough in proportion. I am fully aware that handling such salads is easier (shelf life/workload) and our bodies can digest pickled or briefly pre-cooked vegetables better. Nevertheless: with green salad or hazelnut salad it's also possible: everything is crispy and fresh :-) My opinion may well be a matter of opinion. But I know from experience that it works differently. That's why I gave full marks. I can only recommend the Niesenberg restaurant in every respect.

The Niesenberg business is always worth a visit. I particularly liked the beef fillet Ardoise with potato gratin. I'd love to come back🙂🙂👍👍

The New Year's Eve menu was excellent. Very attentive and friendly service. This house is highly recommended. We will definitely visit this economy again. The price-performance ratio is also right.

Absolutely no go Were there with 11 people on Stefan's day. We have rarely experienced such unfriendly, arrogant and incompetent staff. Glasses were cleared away immediately when they were empty. Didn't ask if you wanted something else to drink. The food was okay. But the absolute highlight was the discrimination and disrespect towards a disabled person in our group from an employee who has been working there for 10 years. Finally, the highlight. When paying the bill, which was in the 4-digit amount, the manager neither said thank you nor said goodbye. Conclusion: Never again!!!!!!!!

Some of the menus seem a bit unusual, but they are finely prepared - but also rather expensive.

The atmosphere in the old house is very homely. This is not the only reason why the restaurant is always busy - it's worth making a reservation. Service was mediocre on my two visits, but friendly and reasonably quick. The wine list is extensive at very realistic, fair prices. The menu has some exciting creations and the quality of the dishes corresponds to the price level and the corresponding expectations. The only negative point that really bothers me: Only bread and butter is served with the Cüpli - a fresh aperitif pastry from the kitchen would be very desirable (for example as a nice apprentice task). There is also no amuse-bouche served. At this price level I consider both to be standard and an absolute must.
