A textbook host. Portugal is not just the name but the program through and through. The owner is a Portuguese innkeeper with heart and soul and you can feel that from the first encounter to the end. The cuisine is top class and absolutely authentic. I didn't see the menu card. We had the head of the house put together a typical Portuguese menu and were more than surprised. Versatile, perfectly balanced, simply delicious and, as it should be, always a little too much. I would recommend such recommendations from the house to every other guest. Of course, the right wines are also served and together with the lively and cheerful host, this results in a wonderful overall experience for the palate and soul. Only the somewhat sparse interior and the relatively high prices kept me from giving it a "5 star rating". Highly Recommended!!!

A wonderful little corner of Portugal in St Gallen area. Food is absolutely delicious - rissois, chouriço and the seafood platter were superb. The service is also great - very attentive, warm and welcoming.
