A small but nice card. The food is of high quality. They say that you can tell the skill of the cook by the soup. The patina soup is a poem. The steak was cooked to perfection and rounded off with matching side dishes. The service staff is careful and shows the perfect amount of humor and discretion. The atmosphere is tasteful, modern and cozy. For me, Ox is the best restaurant in Aarau.

Great - we were really excited. The service is very friendly and attentive. The toddler who was there and registered even received a small bag with painting supplies and toys. The food is delicious and the portions were huge for us. The salad beforehand was a veritable bowl of fresh, crunchy and perfectly balanced vegetables and salad with sauce. The main course was also very large - I had the gnocchi - these are huge and a lot. I couldn't finish the plate, but since it was so delicious, everyone else at the table ate the rest. Even the dessert was a large portion. Apparently they have directly adapted the previous criticism of the portions being too small. There was a concert above us that we heard over and over again and created a real atmosphere. Highly Recommended!

Creative, accessible cuisine with an excellent price-performance ratio, all in the unique ambience of the Aeschbachhalle. The staff is very attentive, helpful and friendly.

Since the new operators came in, things have been going very well. Price/performance ratio is perfect and the service is friendly.

The ambience is great, the food was good. However, both the aperitif and the individual courses (except the dessert!) were portioned much too small! Even the women in the group were still hungry... We had ordered an aperitif for 23 people (9.00 per person) and almost 4-5 small plates of puff pastries arrived. 3 people were ill at short notice, but we were charged for the menus (a total of CHF 144.-), which I could understand on the one hand, since we had ordered in advance. However, second helpings were only served upon request - if the menus had to be paid for, I would have at least expected them to come up with the idea themselves. A pity!

We were very disappointed and had to pay 105 for two aperitif plates. The plates were intended for 7 people, but the price was definitely not worth it. 52.50.- is clearly too much for an ordinary aperitif plate.

We were allowed to sit at the table in the Ox restaurant for the first time during a seminar and have lunch! From the very attentive staff, who welcomed and served us in a very friendly manner, to the excellent and beautifully presented menus, no wish on our part remained unfulfilled! We will be back!

We were here for lunch 2 days ago - the service was top notch and my food was good. Reason for the one star: my partner got food poisoning here. The hair in his food was disgusting, but not that tragic, it can happen. The bad surprise came in the afternoon: acute vomiting diarrhea that lasted the whole night until the next morning. Only after an infusion at the family doctor did things get a little better. Terrible, we've never experienced anything like this before, even in the tropics. Hopefully no other guests were affected - we will definitely avoid this restaurant in the future.

TOP! Fair prices, great lunch menu, a treat for the palate!

We had a very nice evening in the Ox restaurant. The service was exemplary. We were served very attentively and the waiter was extremely friendly and very prompt. The orders were taken quickly and all courses, from aperitif to dessert, were served at very pleasant intervals. The starter (soup duo - tomato and coconut soup) was delicious and came in a good portion size. The spare ribs were perfectly cooked and fell off the bone with ease. After cooking, the ribs were briefly grilled, which resulted in a fine, crispy crust. Very good preparation. The Chocoholic Coupe was delicious and beautifully presented. All in all, a very successful evening and we would be happy to come back. It's nice that after a long time the restaurant in the Aeschbachquartier has found an appealing concept that also impresses with its very good quality of service and cuisine.

Located in the remodelled Aeschlimann factory, the Ox Restaurant is a great place for casual dining in a elegant-industrial setting. The lunch menu changes daily and consists of a meat and a vegetarian options. Friendly staff and fast service.

The two of us ate there and it was excellent. It starts with the service and ends with a delicious dessert. The concept is great and the dishes are very creative. I can only recommend this restaurant :)

Very tasty and recommended restaurant. Lunch menu approx. 25.- with salad/soup, main course and coffee. Plus water with/without. Staff friendly. Nicely decorated.
