The best Gordon Bleu in town... without oil

If you are hungry and want a huge portion this is the place to go for a nice cordon bleu. The portions are gigantic and the quality overall is good. The staff is friendly and attentive with fast service. Wine selection is good but not clear in the menu. Overall good and no one left hungry.

The PaSiWo restaurant is awesome! The atmosphere is really cozy and the staff is super friendly. The food was just great - creative, fresh and super tasty. The wine that was recommended to us went perfectly with it. You can tell that people cook with passion here. I can recommend PaSiWo to anyone who wants to eat well. I'm already looking forward to the next visit

Really fine food and everything freshly prepared. The Spaghetti Fränzi are highly recommended, as are the cream schnitzels. Great location. Only the service lady could have been a little more attentive, then they would have sold a few more drinks. If I ever get a tattoo again, we'll come back :-) Recommended!

Price performance top. Lots of cheese in Gordon Blue (which I think is cool). Patience is required when it comes to service, but I don't think it's a bad thing, they're all just people.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening on the terrace here. The Cordon Bleu tasted great and the service was very friendly and alert.

A really delicious cordon bleu with a nice weight, great breading and superbly prepared. The homemade tiramisu was also delicious. Price-performance ratio is absolutely fine, we will definitely be back soon.

So in terms of food this is probably a four star restaurant but when it comes to value for money, in Switzerland, it's worth six stars. The portion sizes are insane for the prices and it's by far the best value I found during my time in Basel and Switzerland as a whole.

The food was excellent, but the service was terrible for everything I ordered they will come 2 or even 3 times to ask again, and usually, another guy. I will nto go back only because the staff, sorry. The price tag was a little big but is swiss, os to be expected.

Incredibly large, tasty Cordon Bleu - you rarely get such large portions on your plate in Switzerland. Nice, brisk, friendly staff - typically Italian. Excellent antipasti variations, large wine selection and of course deliciosi dolci!!! Be sure to reserve!

The food, no matter what you choose, is amazing. Freshly prepared and great attention is paid to regional and seasonal ingredients. Service, always friendly with a relaxed attitude, even in hectic moments. Conclusion: If you don't eat there, it's your own fault.

I had a mixed green salad and a seafood risotto. Both were very salty. In the seafood risotto, there were not only who shells of clams, but also quite a few broken pieces of shell. I had to be very careful when eating it. The ambiqnce is good over all.

We were there at carnival. The dining room where we were allowed to eat was really nice. It was busy, but I only got the Coke I ordered after asking three times and waiting around 20-25 minutes, where others from the Gugge had already gotten their second one. The food was solid. I think everyone was under stress and pressure.

Great atmosphere, there were a lot of guests and the waiters showed no signs of being overwhelmed or stressed. The food came quickly and it tasted very good. Large portions and the price is completely reasonable. I can only recommend.

Really very fine cuisine, we ordered the classic Cordon Bleau 3 times which was really delicious. Richly filled with raclette cheese. Sufficient portion and price absolutely right. Staff very friendly and attentive, would love to come back.

The cordon bleu is OK, rather a bit too much cheese. Unfortunately the wait is far too long, we waited over an hour for the food, the service is rather poor. The guest is left to his own fate, e.g. we had to pour ourselves the wine from the bottle. So the price-performance ratio is not right.

The veal was delicious along with the fries. The Cordon Bleu option was jam packed with tasty munster cheese. The portions at this place are hefty. I'd say if you're not a fan of feeling stuffed after a meal, it might be best to share a plate here.

After the afternoon performance Basel Tattoo we went to the PaSiWo restaurant. The reserved table was in a prime location, the service was very attentive and the food was delicious. Even though we all ordered something different, we were all served at the same time. A big thank you to the entire PaSiWo team. We'll definitely come back.

Even though the restaurant was fully booked, we got a great spot on the terrace. We were served super friendly and the food was simply brilliant, fresh and a super tasty portion. We are happy to recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back again.

If you like large cordon bleus or schnitzel, this is the place for you! A relaxed atmosphere and good food, as well as a cheerful waiter, rounded off our visit. Gladly again!

Pork schnitzel, entrecôte, fries and herb butter were delicious! The Hugo was super tasty and the service was very friendly. Plus point: The selection of Always sanitary pads and the high-quality premium toilet paper in the women's toilet. Very personable and attentive!

Very nice atmosphere and nice service. I had the Cordon Bleu Maison and I can only say - it is sensational! The meat is tender and juicy, the ham is hearty and, above all, lots of raclette cheese! The size is absolutely sufficient and delicious fries. One of the best Cordon Bleus I've eaten in Basel for a long time! The fact that various other guests also chose the Cordon Bleu speaks for itself. The price is absolutely right for this quality and size. It definitely won't be my last visit...

Very good selection of Cordon Bleu and, upon request, these are also available in the Maison size (600 g). The Cordon Bleus are freshly “beaten” 😉 The Cordon Bleus themselves are really fine, the size is right and the filling is really good. Only the breading could be a little crispier, but that is a suggestion for improvement at a very high level 😉 If local beer were served now, then it would be 5 stars because the price/performance ratio is right here.

Brilliant food! The schnitzel was excellent! Very tender and the breading was unique! We will definitely come back next time we visit Basel. Dinner at Pasiwo was a must on our second visit to Basel! This time again very tasty and great service! Thank you!

We were out and about at the Basel Autumn Fair and wanted to eat at different places... Unfortunately, I found the prices in all the other places to be WAY TOO HIGH... When we were already preparing for a kebab, we happened to walk past this one... That's true the prices are simple... A great dinner... My menu even included a free salad as a starter... It's no longer available in many places... The Cordon Bleu was too big for my partner... That Service staff came without asking with a foil to take away... You feel comfortable here... Highly recommended! Keep it up!

Nice old Lockal. Food great! Service friendly and organized. For 10 people, the food comes after about 20 minutes... there was just enough time to eat the salad.

My husband and I have been here twice in the last week! The terrace is nice and atmospheric. The food is good and well priced (personally I had on both occasions one of the best pork schnitzels I’ve had in Switzerland). But the best element is the service - the waiters are friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend and will be back soon!
