My Chicken Manchurian was tasty and a large portion. My wish for spiciness was implemented. The price was very high.

Amazing food and service. Their butter chicken is a must.

Super delicious Indian food next to Unispital in the old town of Basel. 👍🏻Unfortunately a long waiting time for the single servant on a Sunday at lunch time. Probably the evening hours are better covered.

A good place to visit if you've never tried Indian food. A little pricey, but good food.

We ate very well. The chicken from the tandoori oven was very tender and juicy. The naan is a dream.

A Chicken Tikka Masala with mostly raw peppers and undercooked onions in a thin oily sauce? Never again. I know what a tikka masala is, and that was not it!

Exceptional service. Authentic Indian food. Amazing atmosphere. We tried them out while visiting Zurich/Basel and were pleasantly surprised. The chef even offered us a traditional delicacy that is not on the menu. Highly recommend going here for all your Indian food cravings. Tandoori Tikka was juicy and cooked perfectly. Naans and Tandoori Butter Chicken was phenomenal.

Great service and food! Amina is a great host! She was kind, courteous, friendly and worked with us offering options to combine the Haryali and chicken tikka. They provided pappadums in the beginning which is not as common in restaurants today. All the dishes were excellent!!

Food was good and prices reasonable by Swiss standards but not as spicy as O would have liked despite them saying it was the spiciest level.

What a positive surprise - I am totally amazed and thrilled by this meal and the telephone service (based on a query). We had: HARIYALI CHICKEN TIKKA Chicken fillet with fresh mint, green chili and fresh coriander PESHAWAR KABAB Chicken fillet marinated for 6 hours in yogurt, saffron, ground cashews and Indian spices The dishes came with naan bread and yogurt sauce. Both dishes come with a suitable sauce That was a taste explosion! First-class taste with sensational seasoning (the Chicken Tikka in particular impressed me with its special note and spiciness), delivered very fresh and hot, sufficiently large portion (we were very full). Absolute recommendation! Small note: I would add naan bread, yogurt sauce and sauces for the grilled dishes to the menus.

The food is one of the best Indian food in Basel. It is pretty decent.Would go here again. The waitress(blonde one) I think her name was adhira? Pretty funny & really kind. She deserves a raise!!! The other one was pretty rude though. Felt I was working under her haha. Heard that the owner/chef is from New Delhi.Would love to meet & have a chat. Had many good times here. Will visit again.

We had a delayed flight to Basel with two kids and at 8pm on Sunday, this was our only choice but the people running this place were so kind and helpful and we were so glad to have chosen this. Saying this the food is also amazing. Their butter naan is amazing!

It is a good restaurant with good food is what I can say. I have been there several times and hardly have been disappointed. They should improve their service as the restaurant is very crowded and it takes a long time to get food sometimes. It is a bit costly but so is everything around in Basel 🙂

We look forward to coming back again and again

We have been going to indian tandoori place for a year and half since we moved from Singapore. Once a week is a must to eat their food in the restaurant or delivery. The food is delicious. Try everything you will not be disappointed. Sometimes the service is slow. Other than that it’s a great service.

Excellent, but the amount of food is very small

At 10 p.m., when all the cafes were already closed, we could not only eat here, but also enjoy the food and the atmosphere! I 100% recommend this place!

The place was great. Food delicious. The were ready to cook for the visitors in Basel after 22, which I find very rare.

Food taste good. The chicken beriyani was tasty. Steam white rice is fragrant. Paneer n chicken butter masala were great. Mango lassi is one of the best that I have tasted.

We took 1 Lamb and 2 vegetarian dishes in this restaurant, and the food was really tasty. The Dal Makhani was the star of the evening. The plan Nan bread was also very soft and did not become rubbary also after sometime. But the highlight of this place is the amazing service. There were these most lovely, helpful and polite sisters serving us and it was a joy talking with them. Tip: This restaurant is a short walk from the river, so you can have a dip in the river and by the time you walk to this restaurant you will be fresh and hungry to enjoy the food in this restaurant ;-) Highly recommendable.

I have been coming for years to this restaurant and the quality is consistent. In a nutshell fresh and full of flavour. My favorite are the tandoori meats because they are so tender but everything I tried is delicious. The sauces provided with the complimentary papadums are so delicious! Portions ans quality justify the price. Added bonus, the servie is super friendly.

Here are a couple of reasons we loved our dining experience and it reminded us a bit of home. Complimentary drinking water without asking to start with. Water is always free in India. Complimentary starters, sauces, rice and even extra rice! We were visiting with our parents and the owner was kind enough to offer my father extra helping of dal. These little acts of kindness is common in India but felt amazing to receive it here. Lastly everything we ordered tasted amazing especially the kali dal. The waiters were also very polite. Overall great job. 👏

Food and service here was amazing! Wanted to enjoy a quieter and outside solo dinner and this place was the perfect spot! Food was incredible and the people were so kind and helpful. Right next to a hotel and not on too much of a busy street. Food is even placed over candles to keep it warm throughout your meal. I loved the mango lassi! Ordered the butter chicken which was a 10/10 with the butter naan that was even better! Highly Reccomend:)

Very fine food. I had a typical curry with chicken.

We had a bit of bad luck - there was a mistake and we waited for quite a while and in the end had to take the food home in a doggy bag because our babysitter time ran out… we were quite grumpy about it, since it was our special and rare night out, but mistakes can happen and they really were very nice about it (took drinks off the price, offered (another) free mangolassi, apologised many times). When we got home and ate our food, it was sooooo very DELICIOUS! So we want to say thank you for the amazing food and we will be back!

I never expect to ever taste a “tasty and spicy” food since I came to Basel until I found this restaurant. The food is delicious with generous portion. I can ask for different spicy level when I order for kids and for myself. Sometimes they give us extra rice for free. Staffs always very friendly and welcoming. Worth value of money for a restaurant in Switzerland. Do visit and taste yourself!!

During our initial time in Basel, I searched for an Indian restaurant in the neighborhood. Indian Tandoori Palace popped up in search with good reviews, and we decided to give it a try. We went to this place during our birthday party. No doubt that it had such a high rating. The food was awesome here. It was so tasty that we couldn't resist ourselves from coming back again. We tried 7-8 curries from non-vegetarian menus, and all of them were delicious, finger-licking. They have lot of varieties for vegetarian as well. What added sugar coating to it is the super friendly behavior of the staff and hospitality. I'll highly recommend it for Indian Cuisine in Basel and will definitely visit again and again!

What a wonderful place! The female manager was so helpful and accommodating! Nothing was too much trouble and she helped us pick the best meals. My 9yo was so happy with the meal and he can be picky. Highly recommend going for either dine in or takeout.

I think I would be the best person to rate this place as I have eaten continuously 5 days. I have ordered Mango Lassi, Chana Masala, Saag Panner, Daal Makhani and Butter Paneer Masala The overall food was good except Daal Makhni which was little less cooked. The good thing is they serve Rice with every sabji/curry. And average price of each vegetarian sabji/curry is CHF25 And the last thing staff was very very good, welcoming and helpful

A bad choice for an Indian restaurant in Basel. The food was not worth for the price. If it gets busy, you would be barely attended. Food was served almost after 3/4th of an hour. Water bottle was served after 15 min of ordering without glasses ! Pathetic. Apparently ended up witnesses many unhappy customers.

I can highly recommend the restaurant. The dished were very delicious and we were served quickly. The staff was very attentive. We would come again.

I go there very often with my girlfriend. I always eat the same thing, chicken in spinach, rice with chopped vegetables. My girlfriend very spicy food. Then the flatbread with garlic...mmmh I can highly recommend the restaurant.

So this was nowhere near Indian food. With Alo Ghobi, the potatoes and cauliflower are cooked in ghee so that it retains its firm consistency. There, both were simply cooked and even overcooked; when cooked, they get a completely different consistency than when cooked in ghee. The eggplant was also mediocre, the spices were weak and the sauce was watery. No comparison to real Indian food, which is what I'm used to from Indian chefs (no Indian would think of cooking potatoes).

I went to Indian Tandoori Palace two days ago with 10 other ladies to celebrate International Women's Day. We had very friendly and good service! Nice atmosphere and great menus. From the starter to the dessert it was a great experience! Always recommended! Many thanks to the team at Indian Tandoori Palace!

The food was absolutely great. There were three of us and we chose three different vegetarian menus (Subjika Kofta (vegetable balls filled with cashews and raisins), Bengan Bharta (eggplant dish) and Saag Paneer (Indian spinach and homemade cheese)), which came in bowls served with rice - so we could share the food and try everything, perfect! The mixed starter was also great! Also very friendly staff and a suitable atmosphere.
