Saturdays are Schnipo day at the Pöstli inn. Very generous portion with menu salt for a very good price. Was very very good. The service was excellent from Mary and also Mr. Senn, the managing director, greeted us personally, which we really appreciated. I would love to eat at Gasthaus Pöstli again at any time.

I was only in Riffi for two weeks on holiday. Due to the lack of alternatives in the village, I went to Pöstli several times just to have coffee. Very nice, old, cozy restaurant with lots of wood and charm. Good service. And I have to say: The coffee was the best I've ever had in German-speaking Switzerland! (I live in Ticino and found that it surpasses or is at least equal to many local coffee bars.) -------- The first time I came was on a Saturday afternoon and a lady with me would have liked something "salty". A cheese and/or sausage plate or something. The waitress said this wasn't possible because the chef had already left. The lady complained for a long time and thought "any farmhand could cut a bit of sausage, you don't have to be a cook to do that, etc." The next day, Sunday afternoon, I came back and the same thing in green, respectively. in sweet. There were a total of 4-5 couples plus me present, everyone would have liked a dessert and again it was said that no one was in the kitchen, etc. At most it would have cherry cake, she could make a caffè affogato, or just ice cream balls. I decided on 2 ice cream balls with cream. The ice cream was full of small pieces of ice. No enjoyment! It's a shame that in such a nice restaurant, even on weekends, you can only have a drink in the afternoon.

Went to the Pöstli restaurant in Rifferswil for the first time. Huge nut salad - very delicious. Schnitzel and fries were also fine. Friendly welcome and attentive staff. Will definitely stop by again.

My review includes 5*. I celebrated my birthday in Pöschtli with 14 people. The preliminary discussion of the menu and wine selection with Paul Senn was fantastic. I was able to taste every recommended wine beforehand. The ambience, the careful decoration and invitation card, the waiters, the food, the generosity - everything remains unforgettable. A special thanks also goes to the chefs. I ate such a delicate meal, the Chateau-Briand with vegetables and potato gratin, a delight. And so I spent an evening with laughter, with joy, with enjoyment and the feeling that I was in paradise. Thanks Beatrice Diener

Today we stopped at Restaurant Pöstli in Rifferswil on a bike tour. We paid CHF 7.50 for a non-alcoholic cider.👎 We think that's too much. We will no longer honor the Pöstli restaurant.

Shortly before the reopening of the Gasthaus Pöstli, we were able to enjoy a very nice aperitif and a great lunch here. We were warmly welcomed and greeted warmly. The huge garden invites you to linger. Because the weather was a little uncertain, we sat at a large table in the beautiful hall. For dinner there was an excellent gazpacho, then fish crispy with boiled potatoes and a caramel cream for dessert. The food was very good and the service impeccable. A very good “baptism of fire” and I wish the team all the best for the upcoming opening and much success. I will definitely stop by again!

The service employee who came to us today, Thursday, February 23rd. served, please stay. People like that are needed in the hospitality industry. Humor and still great service 😊 I highly recommend the food and the dining room is what you would expect from a country pub. Looking forward to summer; it has a large garden restaurant.

The atmosphere is great as always, an old country inn, as it should be, with an inviting wood-paneled dining room. The service assistant was friendly and courteous, as it should be. The “amuse bouch” that was served was not convincing at all. Toast bread topped with something. Not really fresh, tasteless, so soft to the touch that the freshness was missing. An amuse bouche in particular has to be convincing and build anticipation An amuse bouche in particular should stimulate the palate and encourage anticipation of the meal. This amuse bouch only scared the stomach and took away any anticipation. As a main course, minced meatballs with mashed potatoes. Both the minced meatballs and the mashed potatoes were impressive in terms of taste and feel. What wasn't convincing was the slice of dried red cabbage that was needed to give the new cousin the look and was stuck into the potato stock. Blandly dry and not fresh, this visual detail destroys the overall impression of the lawn. Less is more and fresh is always better than prepared.
