We went to this Osteria for dinner. The pizzas were good but the “crispy aubergine parmigiana with burrata and prawn tartare” was a big disappointment. Mea culpa for not asking what exactly it was, but from the description I was expecting something delicate. Instead, it is three slices of aubergine and parmesan fried in batter (very heavy) and arranged in layers with the prawn tartare in one layer and a spoonful of stracciatella (not burrata) in the other and served with Genoese pesto. It goes without saying that frying destroys the taste of the rest of the ingredients and is not tasty at all. Served very well, nice to look at but unfortunately a punch to the stomach. Surely there will be other delicious dishes but I base my review on what we consumed. Very kind waiters but perhaps not enough staff to cover the workload of the evening. We ordered a glass of wine which never arrived. I understand that the room was full and there were only two waiters but for good service more staff and/or more teamwork is needed.

We only had morning drinks there so I cannot comment on the food. My wife had a cappuccino which she said was delicious. I have a large draught, which was definitely delicious on a very hot day. The service was very good. It must be a popular place as there was a large group of older ladies at a long table who seemed to be 'regulars'.

Unfortunately a very unfriendly owner, which precludes a repeat visit. He probably also likes to distribute advertisements in the parking lot instead of inviting people into his restaurant. Recommended in “EVERY” way - the Italian dishes (pizza, pasta, soups and salads) are freshly prepared. The risk for the guest is high - you risk becoming a repeat offender!! I hope that the Swan team can maintain the quality of the food as well as the unobtrusive way in which the guests are pampered and looked after for as long as possible. The menu is very much Italian focused but with a wide selection. There is parking space next to the building so easy to access. On the pictures there are a Picante Spaghetti Napoli and a Cream Brûlée. Both were delicious.
