Restaurant Shalimar in Romont (FR)

Hi, guys! Made a jump on Saturday for lunch with my friend! We tried Boeuf coco, Murgh Shalimar. It was cooked so well 👌 Before eating enjoyed well smelling! Souse was little pickant, but good. Meat was prepared very good, soft. Rice is amazing! I would recommend you to try once!

The dishes are relatively expensive but interesting in taste, why not go back, welcoming and smiling staff ;)

One of the best (if not the best) Indian restaurants that I have been to (and I know some well, because I really like Indian cuisine). The food is delicious! We order it often. All the dishes they make are tasty and excellent, but I particularly recommend the Butter Chicken, the Chicken Dal or the Palak Paneer with Cheesse or Garlic Naan as an accompaniment. The starters are also very good (try the Pakoras or Samosas). In short, it's great!

If not the best, perhaps one of the few exquisite Indian Cuisine restaurants in Switzerland. Very tasty food, very neat and presentable. The flavors are surprisingly exciting, not overly hot. The most delicious butter chicken I have ever tasted. It is in a great location in Romort and well worth a visit

Excellent discovery, quiet location, with a pretty terrace which does not overlook the road in summer. warm welcome, fast service and very good food. Buffet at lunchtime from Tuesday to Friday. I didn't think to take photos, but try it, you won't be disappointed if you like Indian cuisine.

A delight ! Served in good quantity and at very reasonable prices. They offer various spicy dishes but also milder ones for children or sensitive people. There is something for everyone. We order from them regularly and are always very satisfied with the speed and quality of delivery (the meals always arrive piping hot!)

I've never been there but I've already ordered 3 or 4 times. Delivery always on time, very well packaged and warm. The portions are generous and everything I tasted was delicious. Very good cuisine and a large menu! Only negative point: I ordered a Vindaloo Hot Curry last time and it wasn't spicy at all... I, who was looking for Indian spice, was disappointed. But the dish was still delicious!

Very good address. Excellent dishes, careful presentation, impeccable service, very smiling, patient and helpful staff although there were a lot of people that day. We enjoyed the spacious terrace with a soothing view of the surrounding countryside. The interior is simple but warm.

Amazing place, ambience and also taste. If you ate trying vegetarian I recommend bangan barta and chilly cheese naan 🤤 to be tried

We were made very welcome. Delicious meal especially the chicken butter and the dahl. The server was very friendly. Children are welcome.

The terrace at the back offers a splendid view. The dishes are delicious and the staff very friendly. It's not too spicy. Rather fast service. Special mention to the natural lassi...yum!

Excellent restaurant, the dishes are very generous (being two big eaters, we always have leftovers) and really delicious. The only big downside, for the price, is that they no longer offer payment by card upon delivery. Today, where cash is less and less present and knowing that we often order takeaway on a whim, it's a real shame. But definitely recommended, even for those who don't like things too spicy.

Lundi 03 mai 2021 - ce restaurant est devenu Pakistanais. Ce matin là je me suis arrêté aux pieds de Romont pour y consommer 2 renversés (CHF 4.50 pce) Je suis revenu à 13h40 pour m'y restaurer. Désolé la cuisine ferme à 13h30......(même pas proposé un sandwich ou une assiette de charcuterie, Quel dommage !J'avais détecté un restaurant pakistanais au centre de Romont, j'étais certain d'y trouver bon accueil. bingo. Ils servent jusqu'à 14h30 et reprennent à 17h30. Voilà des commerçants. Accueil chaleureux, belle carte, je me suis régalé. Bravo !! SHALIMAR - Indien & Pakistanais

Excellent meal, not greasy and spicy just to suit everyone's tastes, the rice (3 variations) was succulent. The decor lacks originality, too simple for a birthday meal! Too bad... Restaurant worth encouraging and knowing.

Ça fait 2 fois que nous commandons, les plats sont excellents, l'attente n'est pas trop longue. Et nous avons eu du riz offert à chaque fois. Je recommande vivement.

On s’est fait livré et on a pas été déçu: c’était un pure délice! On s’est régalé de ces saveurs inhabituelles et exotiques. Les portions sont généreuses, on a même eu un supplément de riz. Une adresse à recommander les yeux fermés!

Très bon restaurant Indien qui mériterait plus de visibilité. Les serveurs sont aimables et la nourriture est vraiment bonne !

Bereits zum zweiten mal seit dem Besitzerwechsel bei den neuen Indern zu Gast gewesen. Sie kochen hervorragend. Die Karte ist gross. Ich liess mich beraten. Die Servierdame wurde vom Vorgänger übernommen und ist wie bereits zuvor sehr angenehm. Momentan schmücken sie gerade das Restaurant für den lokalen bevorstehenden Karneval.

Patrons très souriants, personnel très aimable et plats excellents. A recommander.
