Restaurant Sternen in Turbenthal

Stopped by here by chance and was surprised with very fine Thai food. An insider tip and recommended.

Will definitely try the food again

We specifically chose the Sternen inn to stop off during a hike from Wila to Saland. And it was really worth it. The restaurant is located in the middle of the small town of Sitzberg, right next to the church. A large parking lot is available. Also a nice playground for children. The terrace offers shade under a beautifully trimmed plane tree in summer. The innkeeper couple are very nice and the innkeeper is always up for a chat with the guests. The food is both Swiss and Thai. The prices are very fair, the food is plentiful and really tasty. The dining room is simply but rustically furnished. Thank you for the friendly service! We'll definitely come by again. We came back here after about 1.5 years. Still very good food and still very friendly service. Little has changed at the inn itself. Thank you for hosting us again.

We went on a hike from Turbenthal, via Sitzberg to Wila. We wanted to take a coffee break at the top. Unfortunately, the entire terrace was full of seniors and we only managed to get two coffees in the dark restaurant. Unfortunately that wasn't so great...

Very nice terrace with a view, very nice and attentive hosts. Fine Thai cuisine prepared by a Thai chef! Highly recommended!

Cat restaurant, we were shocked 😷🤯😝 all full of hair, and very dirty 'out of respect we didn't leave, it was just a coffee and it was the last time, so many things have to change, and it's a shame such a beautiful place is such a horrible restaurant 😷😝🤯

Great, home-style restaurant with very good food. Friendly service and a homely atmosphere. I can only recommend the Metzgete! Very tasty cooked, absolutely fair prices and generous portions. I'd love to come back.

Not just Swiss cuisine, also very good Thai food (Phat Thai, red and green curry, etc.)

Discovered by chance because we saw it while passing through on an eBike and had lunch there: Very friendly boss, cozy restaurant and the food (Thai) was rich and very tasty. gladly again!
