We visit the Sternen restaurant every year during our ski holidays. The owners and the entire crew are very concerned about the well-being of their guests. Wonderful food and excellent Valais wines. This is what you want as a guest. Gladly again!

I visited the restaurant with a friend a few weeks ago. Very nice people who work there and the food was really great! I will definitely visit the restaurant again as soon as I am in Switzerland. Greetings from Germany and best wishes to the team! ✨

Dinner on February 11, 2024, excellent welcome, impeccable service, magnificent fondue, in a warm and family atmosphere. Go there with your eyes closed and your taste buds wide open! Book in advance if you can.

The setting is typically Valais, the warm welcome and the friendly service. The raclette is succulent and the onion salad is an incredibly good dish! This is the restaurant that I visit on each of my stays in Leukerbad.

Typical restaurant with mountain chalet atmosphere. We tested the raclette at your discretion at the price of 35fr per person. As accompaniments there was a homemade onion salad which was really very good. Small downside, the cheese had no taste and no character. Too bad... for the price we really expected better. The service was very good.

The food is very tasty. BUT tap water is not free and costs 5 SFR per bottle!!!! There is no menu in English. And the staff doesn't warn.

We had a great evening at the Sternen restaurant. The raclette is delicious. We took the raclette offer for 2 with a plate of charcuterie. Their onion salad is a treat. The servers are all very kind and attentive. Our 2 children were very well received.

The Sternen restaurant should not be missed when visiting Leukerbad. You can choose between fondue and raclette. There are various types of fondue. We had the onion fondue. That was excellent. Plus potatoes and bread.

Update 2023 Service is still top and super friendly and accommodating 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Cheese slices are very, very fine and are also highly recommended :) We would love to come back to you again and again. Thanks 2020: Staff friendly and otherwise cozy and fine dishes. It has dishes especially for cheese lovers. Typically raclette and different types of fondue. Definitely worth visiting this restaurant.

Traditional Swiss restaurant, we had the choice between fondue or raclette. We chose the fondue (30chf per person) it was worth it! An incomparable secret family recipe dating back 250 years. The service was impeccable, very friendly, I recommend this restaurant to cheese lovers!

Very nice service. However, cheese slices are not worthy of the name. For CHF 22.00 you basically only ate bread, you literally look for the cheese, and that in Valais. There were only the thinnest slices on it, with no cheese taste, and at this price, it was a disgrace. We told this to the very nice service person, who passed this on to the boss. She never showed up at our place.

A great time. The food is delicious and the raclette is perfect, served with love. To try with the onion salad that I will keep in mind for a very long time. The staff is super caring and very welcoming.

The waitress who spoke Italian was really rude. Two adults and a two year old girl. We ordered an all-you-can-eat raclette for two people. The little girl doesn't eat raclette, she just wanted to try it. The waitress very rudely told us that the little girl absolutely couldn't eat anything from our plate and that if she wanted she could buy portions (which due to her age she couldn't even finish). I don't recommend it just for this reason. It's a shame because otherwise it's a good place.

The two of us ate a very tasty onion fondue. It costs around 30CHF per person with bread, extra potatoes cost 3CHF. It tasted delicious and the service was very friendly and on the ball. The ice cream at the bedside table was also of good quality. We would love to come back and would recommend it to everyone. The atmosphere was harmonious and we felt comfortable.

A top restaurant for authentic Valais fondue and raclette. There are countless homemade fondue variations and wines from the region. The tomato fondue is highly recommended. The service is excellent. You feel comfortable and very welcome as a guest. We'd love to come back.

Rarely have I had such good fondues and cheese slices! The quartet Christine, Pia, Albert and Julia impress with their friendliness and charm!

Price quality, nothing to say! More than excellent service with very good advice! The waitresses are constantly attentive and ask if everything is going well. The quantity is more than satisfactory! Thanks to the recommendation from Hotel Alpenblick, we came here today to eat a delicious fondue. We were warmly welcomed by the waitress and taken to our table. The three of us ordered the beer fondue. We couldn't even count on three and we were already enjoying it. The dessert also came quickly and was very tasty. From reception to the invoice, everything was top notch. We would like to come again. Many thanks to the star team for the great hospitality.

We have been coming since 2016 for their incredibly good fondues. But since April 2022 the quality and ingredients have been seen to decline and for the price this is unacceptable. The bread did not mix with the fondue because there was probably too much cornstarch and the dried meat was translucent for an excessive price. We took the liberty of pointing this out to the waitress and we were simply welcomed!!! very unpleasant with a total lack of respect she simply sent us packing by suggesting we go elsewhere if we were not happy. Message received !!! we will never go again. Summary: cuisine revised downwards with average ingredients, smaller quantities, a detestable and insolent waitress. With excessive prices the restaurant is no longer at the damage level. (Plate of dried meats for two: 30frs A Fondue sold for 30 francs per person Photos below)

Typical Valais restaurant with impeccable service and adorable staff!

It was simply an incredible evening! We had reservations for 4 people, on New Year's Eve. The interior is truly authentic, in the old Alpine style, typical of Valais. The welcome is warm and the staff speaks several languages ​​(French, English, German and Italian). But the nice surprise was to eat a typical fondue and not a tourist fondue! I really recommend this place to eat real local food and appreciate the Valais flavors :) Finally, if in doubt, let yourself be guided by the opinion of the staff or the manager, because they know it :)

Great restaurant. We had the Valais platter as a starter and then raclette. We were recommended a good wine. The best raclette I've ever eaten. There was also a fine onion salad that was simply incredibly good. If only I had asked for the recipe... The service was so friendly. Since it had rained we were completely wet and she dried my daughter first and my daughter immediately took her to her heart. She now always says my friend from Valais. It was very pleasant to eat there. Atmosphere was pleasant, we felt like we were in good hands. If we were in Valais again we would definitely go to Leukerbad again to eat there. It is worth it ..
