If there were more stars, I would give more stars. The St. Jakob restaurant was already good for the previous tenant. Since the new tenant took over, the restaurant has massively improved in quality. The atmosphere is very cozy and familiar. There is always something new and homemade on the menu, which all tastes very good. As a vegetarian, I also find many meat-free dishes that are really good. As far as possible, the ingredients all come from the region. It's nice that there are still such good, home-style restaurants. The St. Jakob is always worth a visit.

I was here yesterday to indulge in culinary delights after a long day at work. For me, as a declared fan of cheese fondue, there was of course no way around it. In short - the fondue was simply perfect, incredibly delicious!! In order to be prepared for today, I took the Schützenhaus burger with raclette cheese with me and it was honestly very, very tasty (together with the fries as a side dish). The fries were definitely not cheap and were fried in fresh oil, which clearly had a positive effect on the taste. The burger was richly topped (quite a challenge even for me with a big mouth), the fried egg in combination with the raclette cheese was simply terrific! I just don't know what I would order next time. To be on the safe side, probably both again, since I couldn't decide :) The staff was extremely courteous, super-friendly and had a lot of fun looking after the guests' physical well-being. Simply rustic and cozy, I also found the ambience very appealing. If you are traveling around here and are hungry, you should definitely try the brilliant Swiss cuisine!
