Very, very clean. Everything good and practical (seats out door, self check in, breakfast buffet...)

Self check-in for the first time, problem-free. Great breakfast and super nice staff! Room as promised with mountain view. Just a stone's throw from the train station and the old town. I'm looking forward to coming back.

Lovely owners and great B&B next to the train station

It's right next to the train station and a little away from the village center but still close enough to reach everything comfortably on foot. Therefore very quiet. Checking in and out is automatic, there was no one there at breakfast, but a very good breakfast and very nice staff. We were there with a group. I was in a renovated double room that was really nice and big and clean. Typically for Swiss hotels there was no air conditioning, which unfortunately meant that it got very warm at night. But the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also newly renovated. It's small but clean. Only the open shower, where the water was distributed throughout the bathroom, was a bit strange. Nevertheless, if you want to hike or visit Appenzell for a few days, you will find a very quiet and clean hotel here.

Great, simple but very well-kept and clean hotel - check-in with a machine was quick and easy - great room - special WOW: there is always fruit and drinks (in the fridge or on the coffee machine) in the dining room - the breakfast buffet is very rich. There are also hiking tips from the operators and a nice chat. Simply great overall!

Smiling and very friendly welcome. Tastefully renovated rooms and despite the proximity to the station, quiet location with little noise from outside. On the other hand, quite a bit of noise from the corridors in a hotel where vacationers were staying who were not very respectful of others...

Unter einem Hotel verstehe ich etwas anderes. Die Zimmer haben den Charme einer Gefängniszelle aus den 60er Jahren. Check in ab 16.00 Uhr wäre ja ok, nur früher kann man garnicht kommen um sein Gepäck zu deponieren da niemand dort ist. Am Morgen musst du um 10.00 Uhr gehen weil alles wieder abgeschlossen ist! Der Höhepunkt dieser Katastrophe ist allerdings das Bad/Toilette. Die in hobbymäsigem Eigenbau gezimmerte Falttür schliesst nicht, was für den Mitteisenden bei der Toiletten Benutzung wirklich alles andere als angenehm ist! Denn es gibt keinen Abzug im Bad!!

Sehr empfehlenswert gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Ideal auch, wenn Du mit dem öV unterwegs bist.

Die Corona Zeit hatte Einfluss auf das Hotel. Einfaches Hotel aber es hat was man braucht. Das Essen war gut und die Teller schön hergerichtet. Die guten Better waren wichtig für guten Schlaf.

Einfache, transparente Trenntücher engen nicht ein, geben aber trotzdem die nötige Sicherheit.

Meine Eltern waren 6 Nächte dort. Sehr gute und preiswerte Küche, ruhige und gute Lage, sehr nettes Personal.

Beim Bezahlen wurden wir von der Chefin sehr unfreundlich behandelt. Bezahlung mit Karte ist fast nicht möglich. Will man einzeln abrechnen, wird man angeschnauzt. Hotel und Frühstück ist sonst i. O. Preis / Leistung ist gut.

Super Lage. Sehr Freundliches und Umsichtiges Personal und Ein Preis den man in der Schweiz so nicht Erwartet hätte. Es ist ein Einfaches aber Gemütliches Familienhotel. Komme Gerne wieder.

Es hatte sehr feines Frühstück und man konnte sehr gut Schlaffen.

Secondo me, è un hotel ottimo. A 2 passi dalla stazione, a conduzione familiare, la proprietaria durante la colazione è molto attenta a non far mancare nulla. Molto pulite le camere. dalla nostra camera si ammira un panorama fantastico 🤩

O hotel localiza-se bem próximo da Estação de Trem . Quartos são confortáveis com boa vista, mas tem uma péssima qualidade de ducha,o que torna o banho um sacrifício. Café da manhã bastante limitado nas opções mas são itens de boa qualidade. Wi Fi gratuito muito bom. Atendimento razoável. Não tem elevador e nem recepção.

חשבתי שכבר כתבתי ביקורת. אז ככה: 5 כוכבים כי ביחס למחיר, לשירות, למיקום, לצרכים שלי ולציפיות שלי - זה היה 5 כוכבים. ממש ליד תחנת הרכבת, ואם אתם הולכים למסלולי טיול יומיים אתם תעריכו זאת, ממש לא יקר, ארוחות הערב שם בהחלט ביתיות ולא במחירים השוויצרים המקובלים (17 פראנק ארוחה מלאה ) ונקי.

Das Hotel/Gasthaus befindet sich nahe dem Bahnhof der Appenzeller-Bahn. Die Zimmer sind zweckdienlich und sehr sauber. Das kleine Frühstücksbüffet ist fein und reichlich. Die Zimmerpreise fair. Für 1 bis 2 Nächte absolut in Ordnung.

Wir hatten einmal das Menu (Bratwurst mit Zwiebelsauce und Pommes dazu gehörten eine Suppe und ein gemischter Salat) und einmal einen grossen gemischten Salat zum Abendessen. Die Suppe habe ich nicht genommen, weil es viel zu heiss war. Die Bratwurst war etwas zu stark oder zu lange in der Pfanne. Die Pommes und er Salat sehr gut. Der gemischte Salat ebenso sehr gut. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist gut. Der Service ebenso. Wenn man aber gut essen gehen will (was auch dementsprechend viel mehr kostet) empfehle ich das Rest. Sammelplatz oder das Rest. Appenzeller.

Hôtel pratique, bonne accueil et cuisine familiale, le seul regret c'est que c'est vieillot

Beds are super comfy and the rooms contained everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The breakfast is awesome! I think of all the places we stayed in Switzerland they have the best coffee (and it's an endless jug at breakfast!) :) the hotel is 4 min walk max from the train station so is a great base for exploring the area. Curtains or shutters would be nice to keep the light out though! Also the wifi signal could be a bit better but we weren't really there for the internet :)

Ein zentrales Hotel nur wenige Schritte von der Appenzeller-Bahn entfernt. Das Frühstück ist einfach gehalten, aber man wird satt von Käse, Fleisch, Brot, Müesli und Eiern. Unser DZ war klein und sauber; mit der "Tür" zum Badezimmer waren wir jedoch nicht sehr happy (zum zuklappen wie in einem Flugzeug). Auch als Paar geniessen wir auf dem WC gerne unsere Privatsphäre :-)

Eu diria que tudo no hotel é muito bom, não tenho do que reclamar, só aconselho.

We stayed for 1 night and had 1 double and 1 triple room. The triple room was very spacious, while the double room was smaller. Rooms very clean but basic, had shower&wc and tv. Nice view. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Short walk to the beautiful and historical center of Appenzell town. We loved this place - so Swiss. The hotel has free parking in front of the door and the internet worked well. Breakfast was lovely and typical for Switzerland. We were very pleased with our stay.

Stayed three nights at this hotel. Nothing flash but very clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were polite, friendly, and as helpful as they could be with the language difficulty. The venue was very handy to the train, the old town and served a good breakfast. We ate there in the evening on two occasions and enjoyed an excellent three-course meal at a very reasonable price. No hesitation to stay again in the future.

Las habitaciones son muy pequeñas. El baño era pequeño, pero tenía una bañera/ducha. Raro en Suiza. Tienes que cerrar la puerta para usar el lavabo. No hay ascensor hasta la segunda planta. No había nevera o máquina de café. Dos sillas y una mesa pequeña. No hay zona de recepción. Un buen espacio en el armario. El restaurante de abajo era muy razonable. No hay vestíbulo, este es un restaurante/Hotel. Desayuno suizo promedio de embutidos, queso, pan y fruta. Aparcamiento gratuito. Situado justo al lado de la estación de tren. El ruido era un problema, especialmente temprano por la mañana. A un costo de 140 euros, no era un valor. Pagaría más para otro lugar en Appenzell.

We spent two nights in this hotel. The experience is quite nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. We spent a lot of time in the restaurant. It is cozy and comfortable. The price is reasonable. It provides basic facilities and continental breakfast. The location is excellent as it is just next to the train station. We came here for hiking at Ebenalp. There are trains that bring us there in just 10 minutes.

Fine restaurant with tractive prices

Auf Empfehlung haben wir mit einer unkomplizierten und fröhlichen Truppe mit 16 Leuten dieses Gasthaus besucht. Im voraus mussten wir ein Menü buchen.Siedwurst mit Aelpplermacaroni. Dazu gehörte Suppe, Salat und Dessert. Zum doppelten Preis vom teuersten Tagesmenue! Das beste war die Flädlisuppe! Die Siedwurst war Eine Weisswurst Ungenießbar. Salat mit fertigsauce.Aelpermaceroni bestand aus verkochten Teigwaren ohne Appenzellerkäse, Speck und Zwiebeln. Der Service war Erlebnisgastronomie pur, vergleichbar mit dem Essen! Auf das Caramelköpfli konnte ich verzichten und verließ das Lokal nach begleichen des Abzockerpreises fluchtartig. Der Rest der Truppe machte gute Miene zum...Nie wieder!!!!!!

Ein gut bürgerliches Hotel, günstig, freundliche Bedienung, sauber. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten im Ort zu Fuss erreichbar

stossplatz está justo al lado de la estación de tren y a sólo un corto paseo de la ciudad. precio es razonable para los estándares suizos e incluye el desayuno. El personal no hablaba inglés, pero son muy amables y serviciales. Las habitaciones son sencillas, pero cómodas. Si viajas en verano, tienen desplegables persianas metálicas (alemanes llaman ellos rolladen) para bloquear la luz (es luz hasta las 10 pm y recibe luz alrededor de las 4 am). internet wi-fi en el vestíbulo y en las habitaciones. No hay ascensor), pero es sólo unos pocos pisos. Appenzell es un pequeño pueblo pintoresco suizo. Tuvimos suerte y nos obsequiaron con un concierto gratuito de música suizo en el Rathaus (Ayuntamiento) sobre el centro de información turística. Vale la pena un viaje de un día.
