Restaurant Sua in Bern

The taste of the rendang was far removed from the dish rendang. It was also pork and very few cubes of meat. Worst of all, it was incredibly sour. They added a lot of vinegar or acid to the dish and it was almost inedible. The portion was also far too small for the price and didn't taste good either. Pavlova dessert was delicious, but it shouldn't be called that...there were just a few crumbs of merengue under a cream. The service was courteous and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Very decent restaurant, nothing more. The dishes are good, but not out of the ordinary. The service is friendly, but not always fast. Prices relatively high without being abusive. This is a valid fallback solution.

If you're not sure which continent you want to have your dinner from today, then Sue is the place for you. The menu has a little bit of everything, without being an "everything and yet nothing" restaurant. 6 Dinner Mains offer clearly delineated authentic menus from 6 regions. They are attractively arranged and well prepared and tasty. Because they are not too specific, even the more shy ones can try something new and possibly open themselves up to new flavours. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, but the ambience remains rather cool on this evening. Perhaps it's better when it's full. It's definitely worth it if you're in a group and can't agree on where to eat - here you have a good choice.

The Sua restaurant is centrally located in Bern's old town. The restaurant is modern and stylishly furnished. Everything is very clean (including the toilets). Service is courteous, prompt and friendly. The dishes are a mix of Spanish and Arabic cuisine. The food is good (we had the salads as a starter, then the East Asian and East African stew (meat was excellent) and the baklava as dessert), but the dishes are still lacking in certain areas (the beetroot was in the salads). cut into huge pieces, the rice for the main course was not optimally seasoned/rounded and the baklava or dough was still tough and it was almost impossible to cut it). Nevertheless, it's a cool and interesting concept and should be kept on the menu to see if that special something comes along in the near future.

Welcome and friendly, attentive service. Very nice setting with a discreet and soft musical atmosphere. Delicious food, with lots of options, vegetarian/vegan or not (beef, chicken and pork), good desserts. The prices are average for what you find in Bern: expensive for the quantity served, but for quality dishes. PS: Contrary to what another comment states, the toilets are very clean, like the rest of the restaurant.

Sua is wonderful little restaurant in the heart of Bern’s old town with a classy and quiet ambiance, friendly and attentive service and a dinner menu that offers delicious stews and exquisite desserts, accompanied by selected wines. We will definitely visit again!

Ate at the restaurant with a group on Friday. Food was good, but very small portions in relation to the prices. Price/performance is therefore not given. Very long waiting time for the aperitif, as there was no sparkling water, the drink could not be made. Unfortunately, this information only came to the table very late. So I sat dry at the table for a long time. Then the service suggested ordering the food in advance so that another long waiting time could be avoided. The aperitif wasn't ready yet when the food was brought out. Not too bad, but shortly before 9 p.m. we asked if everything was still OK. When the group expressed a desire for coffee, the incredible answer came from service that unfortunately the machine had already been cleaned and no more coffee could be offered. This is because there are very few people in the restaurant. And this on a Friday evening before 9:00 p.m. (opening hours according to the website are 11:00 p.m.). This is an absolute no go and the reaction from the service “I will improve” doesn’t make it any better. None of the group will probably go back to this restaurant.

An incomparable menu with braised dishes from all over the world. Surprising spice combinations make the dishes a real treat for the palate. Be sure to take the host’s wine recommendations into account!

Credit Suisse management manages this “restaurant” The trainspotting pub had the worst toilets in Scotland, this is the equivalent of restaurants in Switzerland. The theme of the restaurant: Death. Quality and quantity are inversely proportional to the invoice.

Recently opened in March 2023, it was a spontaneous stop at Sua, unknown to us. The food was fantastic (selected braised dishes with organic ingredients), the service was unobtrusive but courteous. We found a fine conclusion with dessert. In summary, highly recommended.

Sua was the best meal I had while in Bern! My family loved the allergy/diet friendly menu. The food was absolutely delicious and well presented. Our server was very kind and accommodating as well. Don’t miss enjoying a meal here!

New and young restaurant in the centre, near the cathedral. Fast and very kind service. Few but very original Greek-style dishes with Lebanese influences. Adequate price for the center of Bern. Definitely to be recommended.

I like the “stewed dishes” concept! The food was well cooked, the service was extremely friendly. The individual dishes could be further differentiated from one another, for example with other side dishes.
