Restaurant Tannzapfe in Fischingen

Very nice service, pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant.

We had lunch on the sun terrace today and were warmly greeted and looked after by Ms. Fatima Alves and her colleague. The menu offers a balanced offering with moderate prices. I decided on the daily menu: Thurgauer Chlöpfmoschtsuppe, salmon trout fillet in a foamy saffron sauce, with fennel and lentil vegetables. My wife ordered half a portion of veal liver with rösti. For dessert I received a lime slice pastry. Everything was excellent, the weather cooperated, and the service was very friendly, competent and efficient. We had the impression that the staff enjoyed working there. This is what I and my wife give me 5 stars for!

Constructive note to the Tannzapfen restaurant. Their food is really very good, tasteful and of a high standard which justifies the price. So top from A to Z! The service did a good job for me, although sometimes it gave the impression that they were overwhelmed. What I mean by this is running a garden as a single person. Organizationally rather bad. The biggest criticism and that counts as a no go is the garden design. If you order food for two people and consume it (paid 152.40 for a three-course menu), you want to enjoy your meal in peace, which was prepared with heart. Tables and chairs like in a "possession" and the constant asking if you can sit there are simply not up to the quality for this price. You want to enjoy a restaurant and not constantly be asked if we are still free. Suggestion: Make the garden restaurant more modern and limit areas for residents with relatives and for people who want to enjoy a good meal in peace. Would there be space?! Then it would be a 5/5

A good selection of seasonal dishes, many vegetarian options available. Very nicely prepared and very harmonious in taste. The desserts are also very tasty. The service is quick and friendly. The furnishings inside are rather old-fashioned and would need modernization.
