Restaurant Teufi in Davos

A cute chalet-style restaurant located about 10-15 minutes away from the main strip in Davos. The meat for the Fondue Chinoise was so fresh and delicious. (Fondue Chinoise is essentially cooking meat and vegetables in a pot of bouillon at the table, rather than with cheese like a a regular Cheese Fondue). They even offered game meat, which was tender and flavorful, without being overbearing. They are gluten-free friendly.

A MUST for every fondue fan! We had a wonderful evening in the Teufi restaurant with a very good fondue chinoise, the meat (our choice: beef, pork and deer) was sliced ​​very thin and tasted very good. This was a trip highlight from start to finish! The horse-drawn sleigh through the snow up along beautiful paths to the mountainside restaurant for an amazing fondue experience at this family run establishment. It was a perfect night!

In a small group we ate fondue chinoise and cheese and loved it! Maybe I caught the wrong day. We had Älplermagronen (made with penne instead of Magronen), Teufischnitte (cheese slices with ham, cheese and tomatoes) and a Rösti. None of these dishes were really good. The restaurant is in a beautiful location and the restaurant has a beautiful, inviting terrace, just like you would imagine in the Swiss Alps. But that was all that was reminiscent of Switzerland. A pity!

If you visit Switzerland with a full heart and an empty stomach in Davos, you shouldn't miss this. A family business like you know from the past with the ambience and class you dream of. (back to the roots of Swiss customs). I was in Davos for two days and was able to eat in Dischmatal (Teufi) twice. The cheese fondue and the bourguignon fondue that I was able to enjoy were AMAZING and highly recommended. It's also worth taking the carriage ride, which the family also runs, to drive you to the restaurant and back. Whether with the family or just as a couple, it's definitely worth it. Great location, sun terrace and directly on the cross-country ski trail or accessible by ski from Jakobshorn. Bus runs every hour. Winter hiking trail is not so nice there on the road. Bratwurst from the grill was lukewarm and barely browned. The vegetables weren't anything special, the carrots weren't good. Prices ok.

Located a little out of the way, this cozy, traditional restaurant is a must for a longer stay in Davos. You should definitely make a reservation in advance. I enjoyed several cheese fondues and a fantastic meat fondue here in winter, it's to die for!

Restaurant was great 5-7 years ago but service and food has seriously deteriorated since then. We left the place disappointed after visiting it 3 times within the last 12 month. Main points of concern were a) slow and not customer-friendly service (e.g., waiter complaining to get device for credit card payment) and b) food quality served. If you feel like having a traditional dinner in Davos, I recommend trying one of the many other restaurants.

At the end of the holiday it should be a fine cheese fondue. So I asked Google and discovered Teufi. Called spontaneously and reserved a table. Now we're back in the hotel bed with full bellies and we weren't disappointed. From the starter (small mixed salad for 6.- 👍🏼😎) to an excellent, creamy and spicy cheese fondue 😋 to the dessert (vermicelle), everything was excellent. Plus a super friendly service team! Absolutely top and highly recommended. It's a shame we only discovered Teufi on the last evening. Otherwise we would definitely have come back several times!
