The location and the view from the restaurant is breathtaking, however the dishes are quite general. Maybe it was a low season, maybe I have high expectations...

Whisky-Paradies mit hohem Bekanntheitsgrad. Im Restaurant sehr schöner Blick auf St.Moritz und den See. Wir waren zum Kaffee trinken hier. Zu Coronazeiten verständlicherweise wenig Auswahl, dafür waren wir Anfang Dezember die einzigen Gäste.

La nourriture l'organisation ainsi que la mauvaise gestion ou le désagréable comportement des serveurs et serveuses ne nous a pas redonner en vie de dîner ici ni de revenir, le deuxième petit déjeuner à eu lieu uniquement car il était inclus dans la chambre... Comment est-ce possible qu'avec une situation si privilégiée, aucun effort n'est réalisé dans le service ni dans la qualité ?

Seit Jahren haben wir bei jedem Spaziergang um den St. Moritzersee zum Waldhaus hinaufgeschaut und gedacht: da müssen wir unbedingt mal hingehen (und auch schon gute Empfehlungen erhalten). Leider entsprach das Restaurant nicht unseren Erwartungen. Tagsüber (oder wenn es Abends noch hell ist) ist die Aussicht natürlich traumhaft und lockt das Auge weg vom stark in die Jahre gekommenen Interieur. Aber an einem Winterabend fehlt es an Charme. Zu grelles Licht und mangelnde Kreativität (nur schon eine Kerze auf dem Tisch würde so viel bewirken...).Das Essen war gut: Bouillabaisse ausgezeichnet; Röschti Waldhaus mittelmässig, Zürcher Geschnetzeltes sehr fein. Grosse Weinkarte mit exquisiten Weinen.

Wunderschöner Esssaal - TOP-Bedienung, feine Speisen - was will man mehr? Vielen herzlichen Dank dem ganzen Personal!

Furchtbares Ambiente, ungemütlich und das Essen viel zu fett. Teilweise wenigstens sehr nette Bedienung.

Il ristorante-albergo è situata sul lago di St. Moritz. La vista in direzione del Maloja dal ristorante è magnifica: lago-pinete-montagne.Abbiamo pranzato diverse volte sempre rimanendo molto soddisfatti dalle nostre scelte.Personale molto cortese. Informati sulle esigenze alimentari, adatto per celiaci.Consigliato. Ci ritorneremo.

Pranzo con vista lago impagabile, l'ambiente rinnovato fa guadagnare punti alla struttura. Rosti di patate con salmone affumicato ottimo, qualità-prezzo onesta.

Wir genossen einen Abend mit Freunden im Restaurant des Hotel Waldhaus am See. Saisonale Küche (Wildsaison), sehr gut zubereitet und schön angerichtet, dazu ein angenehmer Service und das alles zu fairen Preisen. Gerne wieder.

Einmal mehr ein tolles Erlebnis. Die Aussicht auf den See mit den verschneiten Berggipfel ist herrlich. Die Bedienung ( ein Juve Fan ) sehr aufmerksam und liebenswert. Das Essen war tadellos. Alles sehr frisch zubereitet und grosse Portionen. Wir hatten alles genüsslich aufgegessen und waren satt. Belle salle avec vue magnifique. Ambiance et service très sympa. Cuisine un peu vintage mais bonne et sans chichi. Un resto où l’on se sent bien.

Wir waren erstmals im Waldhaus essen und haben das Waldhaus direkt zu unseren Favoriten im Engadin hinzugefügt. Schade, dass wir in all den Jahren im Engadin nie hier waren! Dafür haben wir es in diesen Ferien nachgeholt und waren gleich mehrmals hier zum Essen und wir wurden nie enttäuscht. Trotz Corona konnten wir das Essen jeweils sehr geniessen, da auch die Hygieneregeln sehr gut eingehalten werden! Das Essen selbst war jeweils ein Genuss, die überbackenen Himbeeren zum Dessert ein Traum! Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und ausserordentlich freundlich! Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, eine Reservation ist empfehlenswert!

Tre pallini per il pranzo, tutto sommato normale e uno di bonus per il posto, dove almeno per una volta vale la pena fermarsi. Non ho trovato riscontro della maleducazione dei camerieri di cui ho letto in alcuni commenti, anzi, mi sono sembrati gentili, anche se il posto potrebbe far pensare a un servizio di più alta qualità. Prezzi nella norma, addirittura bassi per S.Moritz.

Desde hace 20 años, de vez en cuando reservamos una mesa para cenar aquí. La fantástica vista del lago Saint Moritz desde el restaurante y el entorno bastante anticuado son un placer. La relación calidad-precio de la comida sigue siendo muy buena para Saint Moritz. Teníamos el Beef Stroganoff (cocina perfecta de la carne, súper tierna, suplemento de pasta gratis), ternera palanca (regular), gambas (regular) y cordon bleu (bueno). Luego dulces, un poco decepcionantes. La atención a los detalles, la presentación de la comida (platos aceitosos), la atención de los camareros y el liderazgo del jefe ha disminuido con los años. El lugar está viviendo de sus antiguos clientes que regresan. Para atraer a la próxima generación, el lugar necesita una inyección de energía e innovación por parte del líder.

Nous avons fait un très bon repas en profitant de la magnifique vue sur le lac.Le service est sympathique et efficace.La carte est très variée et les prix sont corrects pour la région.Dommage que la carte des vins ne propose pas plus de vins locaux.

Desde hace varios años este es nuestro lugar después de un paseo por el lago de la calle. Moritz para disfrutar de un almuerzo. El personal le da la bienvenida muy amable y la vista sobre el lago es espléndida. El menú de hoy fue una verdadera sorpresa: un menú de tres platos con 3 whiskies antiguos diferentes. Deliciosa esta combinación de Scrimps (entrante), entrecot (principal) y postre de naranja / hielo. Servicio perfecto

wir waren nicht zum ersten Mal im Restaurant Waldhaus, wir sind aber jeddes Mal begeistert vom guten Service, der reichhaltigen Karte, dem Salatbuffet und vor allem vom Servicepersonal.DAs Klima im Haus ist sehr gut, die Kellner sind schon seit Jahren im Restaurant und der Chef is sehr präsent.Die Aussicht auf den See und die Berge ist wunderbar

Siamo stati trattati in modo maleducato e scortese dal cameriere per il semplice fatto di non aver stampato il voucher della prenotazione perché “non andava bene presentarlo dal telefono”, il quale si è rivolto ripetutamente a noi con toni quasi offensivi. Probabilmente riservano diversi trattamenti per chi usufruisce della convenzione del Bernina rispetto agli altri clienti. Non ci tornerei neanche se fosse gratis

So, we entered the restaurant, after passing the lobby. One waiter asked us if we had reservation. We did not. As there was only one table occupied, he invited us to sit at one table that had the sign ”reserved”. We'we ordered a beef soup and a tomato soup, then spaghetti aglio olio and some french fries with cheese and mushrooms. Also, two glasses of wine and a botte of still water.I got some boiled water poured on a beef stock cube and my girlfriend got a soup of concentrated tomatoes. For the main course, the spaghetti were eatable, despite too much oil. Most of the potatoes were NOT cooked. The two glasses of wine came in a SINGLE 200 ml little bottle, we did not see the original bottle. One ”glass” was about 8 CHF.The water was in a bottle with the name of the hotel, not original sealed. It costed 7 CHF.The table was in full sunlight and we got extremely hot.Total we paid: 77 CHF.My firends, waiters and owners: please stop this SCAM!

Herrliche Aussichten kombiniert mit Schweizer gutem Essen machen einen Aufenthalt lohnenswert. Fondue perfekt, Cordon Bleu und Zürich Kalbsbissen waren köstliche R sti - alle kamen pünktlich an. Gut gemacht!

Sehr harziger Start. Wie soll man sich verhalten, wenn der Kellner dich beim Eintreten nicht begrüsst, wenn er einen an den Tisch führt. Es ging ungefähr so weiter... Die erste Person bestellte ein Bier. Ohne sich zu erkundigen, ob die zwei anderen evtl auch etwas trinken möchten, holte er dieses eine Getränk. Wir bestellten dann ein weiteres Bier und Mineralwasser, welches er uns brachte und mit der notwendigen Verachtung auf den Tisch stellte. Daraufhin erdreiste ich mich zu fragen, ob wir noch ein Glas Weisswein haben könnten. „Sie haben Wasser bestellt, welches ich gebracht habe“ - O-Ton des Kellners.... Das Insistieren half insofern als er dann auch den Weisswein brachte - kein „zum Wohle, Gesundheit, Santé oder Salute“. Offensichtlich hatten wir seine Absicht, keine Gäste mehr zu bedienen, zunichte gemacht. Dies obwohl erst 13h war, das Restaurant spärlich besetzt, die Mannschaft sich zu dritt die Zeit um die Ohren haute und die Küche noch (zumindest offiziell) die grosse Karte anbot. Erst nachdem ich ihn fragte ob es wohl besser wäre wenn wir wieder gingen, besann er sich auf seine Rolle und Aufgabe als Gastgeber. Nur weil unser Gast darauf bestand doch bitte hier zu bleiben und etwas zu essen verliessen wir das Waldhaus nicht sofort und zum Glück waren das Essen und danach auch die Bedienung gut. Es täte auch einem Hotel-Restaurant in St. Moritz gut, Tagesgäste, wenn sie denn solche auch wollen, ein gutes Gefühl zu geben, sie willkommen zu heissen - nicht erst nach einer Beinahe-Kollision... Trotz der schlussendlich guten Erfahrung werde ich mir zukünftig sehr wohl überlegen, je nochmals ins Waldhaus zu gehen.

Sulla vista non si discute perché il posto merita. Il cibo è medio, i dolci potrebbero essere decisamente meglio. La vera nota dolente è il servizio: personale in tenuta sciatta, disordinati, disorganizzati ma prima di tutto completamente non professionali e ineducati perché certe risposte a clienti un po’ attempati seduti affianco a noi non si possono davvero dare (non fosse altro che per rispetto). Abbiamo pranzato egregiamente in questo posto meraviglioso con della ampie vetrate sul bellissimo lago. Personale all’altezza , cibo ottimo , prezzi in linea con il posto. Da tornare

I stayed for 2 days in this hotel , very poor service at in-house restaurant . The staffs are very arrogant to guests . They don’t respond properly.The breakfast food was removed before timings Felt very bad and wrong choosing this hotel after paying such high price .

Soirée romantique avec vue époustouflante sur le lac. Nous n'avions pas réservé un samedi soir mais très gentillement on nous a fait patienter et trouvé une table près de la baie.Sur conseil du lait d'hôtel nous avons commandé une fondue 2 fromages, excellente accompagné d'une bouteille de vin blanc sec local. En entrée, buffet de crudités fraîches. Le tout pour 125 fr.Service impeccable.Le clou de la soirée était de passer devant le musée de 2500 bouteilles de whisky. Une vraie caverne d'AliBaba pour amateurs et connaisseurs. Il esiste un menu 5 plats et 5 dégustations whisky.Surprenant non ?

We opted to avoid taking taxi to central St Moritz while waiting for return train. Short distance from station, beautiful location on lake, we had minestrone soup and a few beers with snacks and totally relaxed on terrace! Beautiful dining room with view if weather doesn’t permit sitting outdoors.

Von der prominenten Lage und der grössten Whyskybar der Welt angelockt, wollten wir das Restauarant für ein Abendessen ausprobieren. Leider war der Aufenthalt enttäuschend. Bereits der total abgetretene Teppich im Restaurant lässt einem bei Ankunft erschaudern. Die exklusive Weinkarte macht Neugierig was dann aus der Küche kommt. Hier gibts klare Abstriche, qualitativ und in der Präsentation minderwertig. Risotto versalzen, Rösti des Hauses verbrannt und nicht mehr als solche erkennbar, Gemüse fade aus dem Steamer, Salatbuffet zur hälfte aus Fertigsalaten (in der SV Kantine am Arbeitsplatz mit Abstand besser). Wir kommen nicht mehr!

Wer es deftig mag und dabei gleich Wert auf den schönsten Blick in St. Moritz legt ist hier genau richtig. Das Essen ist ggf. ein wenig schwer und könnte mehr Leichtigkeit vertragen. Wein- und Whisky-Auswahl sehr gut.

An schönster Lage in St. Moritz befindet sich das Waldhaus am See. Bekannt ist es für die grösste Whiskybar der Welt (Auswahl an Whiskys). Auch das Restaurant ist einen Besuch wert. Neben feinen Tagesmenus gibt es eine interessante à la carte-Auswahl. Besonders empfehlenswert sind zum Beispiel die Fondues oder das Châteabriand. Wer am Donnerstag vorbei kommt, sollte sich unbedingt das grosse Bauerbuffet schmecken lassen! Das Waldhaus ist definitiv nicht nur wegen der schönen Aussicht einen Besuch wert.

We chose this restaurant because we were craving some healthy salad after a marathon of eating at all sorts of high end restaurants around Switzerland. Little to our knowledge of how this place would turn out. Three main experiences really made a memorable visit for us:1. The bar: pre-meal drink at the bar which has more than 2500 whiskies. Based on the reviews we were expecting a standard service. But after opening a conversation with the barman, and a couple of locals, we had already made friends. A great drink and a very pleasant conversation beyond what we expected.2. The meal was flawless. We had the sole and it was delightful3. What really made it an evening was a conversation with Claudio the head of the restaurant. What a gentleman...we had a very pleasant interaction.In summary, beyond the food, it’s really the people who make this restaurant. Thanks to all of the genuine people who work there.Love from Dubai

I am usually never one to review a bad experience, however I cannot believe how bad our service was at this bar. Our waitress was so incredibly rude the entire night and complained that she needed to come back a couple times before we decided on drinks for the night. She also complained that we didn’t know the number that corresponded with the whiskey order. The menu was over 10 pgs long and difficult to understand. We were recommended by several people to come here, and felt disappointed when leaving.

Der Aufenthalt im Restaurant Waldhaus war sehr schön. Das Salatbufget sehr zu empfehlen, danach haben wir uns ein Chateaubriand gegönnt. Dazu ein schöner Bündner Wein. Die Single Malt und Whiskey auswahl ist der Hammer. Ein toller Ort zum verweilen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We arrived for a meal during our honeymoon and were a bit unsure at first as we tried to get a drink beforehand but were left unattended and struggled to get service at the bar. Then we decided to just get seated and the waiter was somewhat frosty at first but warmed up as the meal continued - they seemed understaffed so he was likely stressed.The charm of the view soon settled in and set a lovely tone for the evening. For the food, we had a salad from the salad bar which was very tasty and they offer a wide array of amazing dressings/olive oil options. We ordered the meat fondue which was very impressive and came with a variety of sauces, accompaniments and high quality meat.The wine menu is extremely extensive and impressive, with options for all budgets, although the menu itself is a bit tricky to use as there’s no context to any of the many, many options, making it difficult to decide if you’re not an expert.Although the restaurant itself was slightly dated and not particularly “premium”, the food was of high quality, and the view was beautiful, and this was reflected in the price, which was expensive, but justified.

Wir haben eine Nacht im Hotel verbracht und das Abendessen im Restaurant eingenommen. Das Essen und die Gastgeber haben unsere Erwartung erfüllt.

Da kann man sich wohlfühlen von der Bedienung bis zur Küche. Kein Stress zwischen Vorspeise, Hauptgang und Dessert. Gute Weinkenntnisse und kein Drängen nach teuren Weine, einfach geniessen.

We were staying at the hotel and decided to eat in at the restaurant. Firstly the view is fantastic - looking over the lake and the old town above. We started with the local platter which was all good - meat cheese and pickled veggies - went very well with the excellent bread rolls. For main my wife had the spaghetti Bolognese - very generous size and good flavour. I had the Alp Rosti - which had a lot of cheese! but was very enjoyable.

Das Restaurant liegt etwas höher gelegen mit toller Aussicht nah am See und ist zu Fuß gut erreichbar. Das Gebäude hebt sich von vielen modernen „Betonbauten“ positiv ab, es verkörpert die alte Schweiz. Es ist dennoch elegant und sehr gut eingerichtet.Wir haben zu Abend gegessen, ich hatte ein super gutes Rösti, das auch mengenmäßig gut war. Der Weinempfehlung des freundlichen Obers kann man gut folgen (ich hatte einen Lagreiner - Girlan/Südtirol).In jedem Fall war das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis auch in Anbetracht des Ortes unbedingt in Ordnung.Das Restaurant kann ich ohne jede Einschränkung empfehlen!

Das Restaurant sieht gediegen aus und hat eine schöne Aussicht.Sehr positiv war, dass das Restaurant über eine saisonale Karte verfügt. Ansonsten trifft man eine eher normale Küche an. Auch das Frühstücksbuffett für Hotelgäste idt zwar grosszügig aber qualitatives Mittelmass. Der Service war leider nur durchschnittlich. Der junge Kellner stach sehr positiv hervor, im Gegensatz zu seinen älteren, saloppen Kollegen.

Wir kommen jedes Jahr mit Freunden zu Ostern ins Waldhaus.. lassen uns beraten und trinken feinen Whiskey und rauchen eine Zigarre! Die Whiskey Auswahl ist gigantisch und der Service sehr freundlich.

Wir genossen ein rund um stimmiges und ausgezeichnetes Mittagessen an dieser Traumlage und wurden sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient. Wir kommen wieder. Barbara und Stephan

Waren met een hele grote groep en dat maakt dit soort reviews lastig. Heb lekker gegeten, beetje jammer van de saus op mijn biefstukje en de treurige whiskey aan het eind.

Personale molto solare e cordiale che parla perfettamente italiano, cibo squisito in mega porzioni; noi abbiamo preso il Chateaubriand con salsa bernese, carne ottima, accompagnata a scelta con riso o tagliatelle o patatine fritte o rosti ed un sacco di verdure cotte gustose e saporite; il piatto prevede 2 piatti a testa (del quantitativo che vedete nella fotografia) quindi i 59 franchi a persona sono più che giustificati valutando qualità, quantità del cibo e trovandosi a Saint Moritz con una bellissima vista sul lago e sulla cittadina. Come dolce abbiamo preso strudel con gelato anch’esso ottimo. Ci torneremo!

Ótimo restaurante, ótimo atendimento. Comemos um fondue de carne que vem com varios molhos, 4 tipos de carne vermelha e salada. Não é como no Brasil, que o valor do fondue é pra dois, lá o valor é cobrado por pessoa. Então achei bem caro. Mas queríamos experimentar. 120 francos para o casal com 1 garrafa de vinho que era inclusa. Estava ótimo, mas sinceramente, não achei que valeu o valor.

Lunch on New Years Day. We had the fondue which was served with bread (as usual), boiled new potatoes, slices of pear, olives, sun dried tomato. All dishes come with a salad buffet starter. The Swiss wine was very good. Not a cheap lunch, by any means, but very good.

Интересный ресторан - в отеле на холме на озере с видом на город. Это основной ресторан отеля - это его главный минус. В остальном только плюсы: отличный вид на озеро и город, очень интересное меню и хорошая кухня, толстая винная карта, есть буфет с неплохим выбором, парковка. Рекомендую.

Best Ravioli I have ever eaten!!!! So delicous. Entrees of specialty meats and gnocchi were both fantastic. Sirloin it self wasn't the best meat, but the smokey whisky sauce and hash brown made it worth it. Stunning views of the lake and villages.

Wir hatten uns sehr auf den Abend im Waldhaus gefreut und wurden wirklich sehr enttäuscht. Die Kellner waren sehr unaufmerksam und langsam dazu. Wir sassen ewig vor unseren leeren Tellern und sie räumten den Tisch teilweise nur teilweise ab, was sie erst merkten, als der nächste Gang serviert wurde. Sie schenkten keinen Wein nach und wollten auch sonst offensichtlich keine Getränke oder Dessert verkaufen.Auch vom Essen haben wir in dieser Preiskategorie etwas anderes erwartet. Auf eine Beilage mussten wir noch ewig warten. Das gemischte Tartar als Vorspeise war super, aber im Verhältnis übertrieben teuer. Naja, und bei einem Cordon Bleu kann man auch nicht soo viel falsch machen. Es war keines unserer Gerichte herausragend, sondern es war einfach ok. Kann man hin, muss man aber nicht.Zum Glück gibts da noch die Whisybar...

Come over St Moritz and would like to try this resturant . The staff is not friendly at all and saying “ we don’t have food . Just salad , soup and sandwiches “ we saw a table which is having pasta . That’s why we would like to see the menu and to decide for staying or not. We asked for the menu and the stupid staff in the resturant “we don’t have Karte . We only have sandwiches , soup and salad” what the hell of this attitude . Totally wrong ... if he is my employees , I will fire him . Please improve the service and learn how to treat customer politely !

Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen im Restaurant, auch als normaler Bürger fühlt man sich sehr willkommen. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen (unter anderem Capuns) war sehr fein und die Preise sind absolut spitze für ein solches Restaurant. Zudem war das von uns gewünschte Leitungswasser gratis, dies hat uns sehr erstaunt. Wir werden das Restaurant bestimmt wieder einmal besuchen und können es allen empfehlen.

For those who like Tatar this address is a good point for fresh prepared with the correct preparation and absolutely fresh meat. Excellent served and something special with the Edradour Whisky finish.

This hotel which is beautifully siuated next to Lake St. Moritz has a very nice whisky bar with more than 1000 different brands of whisky. They present them in a proffesional way, and the price was okay. This made for an original evening activity! Nice!

Wir kamen mit den Bikes am Mittag und konnten draussen nicht serviert werden mit sehr schönem Wetter...wir mussten in dem altmodischen Saal essen...Karte sehr klein am Mittag, Personal nicht sehr freundlich...schade für unsere so schöne und teure Schweiz.

Bereits zum vierten Mal durften wir uns diese Jahr im Waldhaus am See verwöhnen lassen. Wie gewohnt verbrachten wir ein perfektes Wochenende. Abendessen, Schlummi und frühmorgens, mit dem Hotel-Ruderboot, zum angeln auf den See. Einfach nur grossartig! Die Erweiterung der Whiskybar ist eine Augenweide, Sandro Bernasconi und sein Team machen vorwärts und überraschen ihre Gäste immer wieder.

Der grosse Speisesaal war noch leer, als wir (vier Erwachsene, drei Kinder) um ca. 11:30 Uhr im wunderschön gelegenen Hotel Waldhaus zu Fuss eintrafen. Die elegant gekleideten Kellner wiesen uns den schönsten Tisch mit wunderbarer Aussicht auf den St. Moritzer-See und die Berge zu. Für die Kinder gab's den Globiteller (Schnitzel mit Pommes-Frites), die Damen bestellten den Fitnessteller (Kalbsschnitzel mit gemischtem Salat) und ich bestellte das Duett vom Tatar. Alle genossen die aufgetragenen Speisen, nur mein Tatar war leicht enttäuschend: Es kam etwas fad daher und die Worcester-Sauce gab's erst nach entsprechender Nachfrage. Summa-Summarum: Für Familien ein sehr geeignetes Lokal zu für St. Moritzer-Verhältnisse bescheidenem Preis.

Magnifique hôtel surplombant le lac. Baies vitrées permettant une vue panoramique sur le lac, les forêts et les sommets. Charmant accueil très sympathique par deux serveurs d'un certain âge, de la classe et de l'humour. Pour certains plats on peut choisir des petites ou des grandes portions. On nous a aussi proposé des carafes d'eau fraîche en abondance, très appréciées. Tous les plats ont été à la hauteur de nos attentes : nouilles avec saumon fumé et crevettes 18.- la petite portion, gnocchi à la piemontaise 19.-, coktail de crevettes 19.-, un plat local très apprécié, les capuns de la nona 2 pour 14.50, 3 pour 17.-, les rösti de l'alpage 20.-, les escalopes de veau panées 41.- avec des frites délicieuses. Tout était parfait. Un petit bémol à la fin, la serveuse qui a desservi n'avait pas encore les attitudes et les habitudes que l'on attend dans ce style de restaurant, entre autre elle a commencé à desservir alors que tout le monde n'avait pas fini de manger...

Consiglio vivamente questo ristorante. Menu con ampia scelta. Servizio attento e puntuale. Salad Bar eccezionale. Bravi davvero!!

Excelente restaurante com comida deliciosa e impecável. Tem um ambiente lindo com vista para o lago. Experimentamos o fondue que estava ótimo. Atendimento muito bom.

Sehr gutes Essen (feine Capuns, leckeres ZH Geschnetzeltes & Stroganoff). Sehr grosse Weinauswahl, freundlicher Service. Atmosphäre war toll, wenn auch etwas "Hotelsaal" mässig. Preislich eher hoch, aber Leistung stimmt, würde daher wieder kommen.

Ottimo pranzo compreso nel voucher delle Ferrovie Retiche (pacchetto acquistato online su sito ufficiale), la scelta giusta visto i prezzi di St. Moritz. Vista spettacolare sul Lago. Whiskyteria da record, la più fornita della Svizzera.

Das Essen hat geschmeckt. Die Menge war für mich nicht ok. Der Preis ist eher hoch. Beim nächsten Besuch werde ich ei anders essen.

Ich will ehrlich sein: Wenn man am Abend den schönen See nicht mehr aus dem Fenster bewundern kann, finde ich persönlich das Ambiente im Gastraum nicht gerade ein Highlight. Auch die schwarzen Teller, die zum Essen serviert werden, naja. Ich bestellte ein kleines Cordon Bleu für Fr. 42.- und fand den Preis ziemlich hoch. Da in dem Betrag allerdings ein Salat vom Buffet inbegriffen war, passte das wieder ziemlich gut. Das stille Wasser (= Hahnenwasser) wurde nicht verrechnet. Auch die Mövenpick-Glacé-Kugel à Fr. 2.50 / Stück sucht man wohl an einem anderen Ort vergeblich für diesen Preis. Echt toll! Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, der Kellner stets bemüht und zuvorkommend. Für alle Whisky-Liebhaber: Das Waldhaus beherbergt die grösste Whisky-Bar der Welt, ein echtes Highlight in toller Atmosphäre. Das Personal war sehr kompetent und freundlich.

eravamo in possesso del voucher delle Ferrovie Retiche. Il voucher era a menù fisso ma abbiamo cambiato il menù previsto con altri piatti alla carta. Cucina ottima, la zuppa grigionese gustosissima, il buffet eccezionalmente ricco. Dolci all'altezza della location.Al momento del conto... sorpresa!!!! non ci hanno fatto pagare alcuna differenza, anzi ci hanno offerto uno splendido ( e ottimo) café crème.... da ritornare e da provare anche l'albergo.

We first made a nice sunny trip around the sea in St. Moritz and afterwards we enjoyed a fine lunch in the restaurant of the Waldhaus, looking over the sea from our table. This was the third time in the last years and it was pleasant to have the same service persons: very friendly and attentively. All our dishes were delicious and also the served open wines of the region were fine, although they have a very big choice of wines. Also the Whiskey Bar (now extended) has a enormous choice. We have to come back for more trials and for the ambiance.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang, Rascher, kompetenter und sehr freundlicher Service, ausgezeichnete Küche mit einer sehr schönen Auswahl. Sehr gute Weine auch im Offenausschank. Leider wurden die 3 dl nicht am Tisch abgefüllt, sodass man Vertrauen haben muss. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt.

Siamo stati a pranzo in questo ristorante con il voucher dell’offerta del Trenino Rosso.Dalla sala da pranzo del ristorante si gode una vista bellissima di St. Moritz, del lago e della splendida cornice di montagne.La sala era apparecchiata con ordine e precisione, i camerieri erano gentili, attenti, ma non invadenti.Il menu previsto era buono e ben presentato.Il menu non comprendeva le bevande abbiamo optato per 2 birre le abbiamo pagate come in una qualsiasi pizzeria in Italia.

Possedevamo un voucher del trenino rosso del Bernina e abbiamo deciso di pranzare in questo ristorante viste le buone recensioni su tripadvisor. Pranzo prestabilito a base di insalata e rosti buono. Servizio veloce e personale gentile. Prezzi extra menù in linea con St Moritz e la Svizzera. Bella vista sul lago!

We were not stopping at the hotel but having arrived at the railway station we were pointed in the direction of this place when asked for something "good food but not too expensive".Well of course, we are in St Moritz and the term expensive is very subjective, however, after teetering our way across the main road and up the hill in the three feet of snow we were warmly greeted and shown the menu in English. There was something we could choose on there and so decided to stay.We both decided to go for the Alpine Rosti, thinking it was a little pricy, but when the food arrived the portion was absolutely huge. In fact my wife struggled to finish it all and we did not eat again that day - so in comparison it was absolutely well priced considering it did us for two meals.The food was well presented and extremely tasty and as stated large portions.The view from the large windows was stunning even though the low cloud made the scenery disappear for short spells. On a really sunny day then the view across the lake would be absolutely stunning 0 summer or winter.Service was professional and courteous and I would certainly recommend sticking this place on your where to eat list if you are visiting this haven in the Alps.

Wir waren zu viert mit Kleinkind herzlich willkommen. Tolle Weinempfehlung, super Menue und bester Service.

Nach einem Spatziergang auf dem gefrorenen See war ein Kaffee und Tee in Restaurant Waldhaus am Ende des Sees genau das richtige. Mit nassem Hund und selber ganz zugeschneit war es kein Problem die noch nicht geöffnete Whiskybar zu besuchen und dann im Cafe einzukehren. Etwas unpersönliche Bedienung sonst aber top!

Wir haben den Silvesterabend im Waldhaus gefeiert und waren mit der Leistung sehr zufrieden. Zwar haben die verschiedenen Gerichte nicht allen Familienmitglieder gut geschmeckt und das ganze Setting (Deko, Musik, Tanzfläche, kindergerechte Einrichtung...) drumherum ist für einen Silvesterabend etwas mager ausgefallen. Doch im grossen und ganzen konnte das Waldhaus überzeugen. Vor allem die Bedienung war äußerst zuvorkommend und trotz dem Trubel am Silvesterabend stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles in allem ein gelungener Abend mit spektakulärer Aussicht auf St. Moritz Dorf.

Es begann mit schönem Apéroauftakt und Einstimmung in den Jahreswechsel. Das tolle Menu war nicht nur interessant zusammengestellt, sondern in vorzüglicher Güte serviert! Bravo an das ganze Team von Sandro Bernasconi! Es war ein wunderschöner Anlass mit ausgezeichnetem Gastgebertum! Wir kommen sicher gerne wieder.

Zusätzlich zur Karte wurde an diesem Abend ein Bauernbüffet angeboten. Vor allem die Auswahl der Vorspeisen und der Desserts war hervorragend. Sehr vielseitig und alles sehr fein!

Seit vielen Jahren sind wir regelmässige Gäste im Waldhaus am See in St. Moritz. Das Essen ist immer sehr gut, egal ob man als Hotelgast das Menu geniesst, oder à la carte isst. Besonders empfehlenswet sind die Fleischfondues, das Châteaubriand oder die saisonalen Spezialitäten wie Wild. Das freundliche Servicepersonal und die tolle Aussicht tragen zu einem gelungenen Abend bei. Wein- und Whisky-Liebhaber werden sicher das Richtige zum Abrunden finden. Ein Besuch des Restaurants lohnt sich immer wieder.

Anche se la quantità è un po’ scarsa e il prezzo esorbitante devo dire che la fondue era molto buono . Solo con pane per quanto mi riguarda non amo mangiarla con pere o altri cibi caldi . Molto buono anche il filetto di manzo e cameriere italiano molto cortese

We had hear one of our best meals during our stay in St Moritz.On a Saturday evening we were lucky to get a table for 2 without reservation We ate a delicious chateau briand (and I have high expectations to meat..) with a great whiskey sauce. 2 weeks later I am still craving to try a little bit of this sauce again. Only bad point it was quite loud because there were many families around.

Poca scelta di salse, ottima scelta di contorno (insalata a buffet con tante opzioni). Camerieri veramente gentili e disponibili, lasciatevi consigliare il vino. 250gr di carne a testa sono forse un po' pochini visto che dovrebbe essere il main dish ma la carne era tenera e buona. Rapporto qualità / prezzo forse troppo verso il prezzo, prezzi svizzeri.

After a long walk around Lake St. Moritz, we had lunch here the other day. This place has one of the most amazing views of all of St Moritz, so try to make sure you get a table near the windows. The food is delicious and with every main course you get access to a really nice salad buffet.The service is impeccable and fast, and the meals tasty and high quality. Always worth a visit!

Ristorante convenzionato con il trenino del Bernina. Bello, elegante e vicino. Cucina buona e panorama splendido. Chiediamo il caffè, il mio fidanzato un espresso e io chiedo cortesemente un ginseng visto che bevo prettamente questo. "Signorina lei non può pretendere di bere all'estero quello che chiede al bar sotto casa" è stata la risposta sgarbata e da cafone del cameriere. Chiedere è lecito, un no bastava. Peccato. Hai sbagliato lavoro amico.
