We wanted to celebrate my father's 65th birthday and made a reservation outside. When we arrived at the restaurant we were disappointed. Due to other events, we were allowed to sit alone and indoors at 40 degrees. As a consolation we were treated to an espresso.

Perfect location right by the lake. Beautiful views. Excellent local wine. We ordered 1/2 chicken, the restaurant's specialty. Tasty, chicken the size of a bodybuilder's pigeon. You can eat enough. Prices are decent for Switzerland. I recommend.

Were there for the first time and were totally thrilled. First of all, the ambience, right on the lake and the view is simply awesome. The food is great and there is something for everyone. The map is very clear. The service was excellent. Always friendly and helpful even though the place was extremely full. I can only recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

Good food, nice service, a bit pricey but not too exaggerated by Swiss standards. Parking is limited for the tables that are there. Nice view too and a bar by the water.

Very nice location on Lake Lucerne (Horwer Bay) with a view of Pilatus and Stanserhorn. Friendly host and service. I haven't eaten here yet, but I've heard it's very good.

Delicious tapas and excellent cuisine and the location is unique. On the upper floor on the terrace with a view over the lake to Mount Pilatus.

Unfriendly reception! Although the board at the entrance said “We are fully booked”. We allowed ourselves to go to the restaurant or towards the bar. We were immediately intercepted in an unfriendly manner (and with a tone that sounded like "leave"!), with the words "we're fully booked, it's written on a board at the entrance!" Yes, of course, we read that, so we just wanted to have an aperitif at the bar. But after this unfriendliness we realized that we were not welcome. A pity....

I give 2 stars for the disappointingly poor ice cream selection for a Badi and exclusive location in the corner! No mocha or iced coffee and only a few cornets. Ok, things look a little better with the Magnums. How about switching to “Frisco” too? These “Lusso” varieties are still used when on holiday abroad if necessary. Otherwise, I enjoy your good cuisine, the beautiful ambience and the friendly service. Keep it up, just with a better range of ice cream!

Hearty Badi, fine food, the sometimes complicated other guests put a strain on the staff, so our orders sometimes got mixed up...

It was very sunny today and the Winkelbadi was very well attended. But this didn't stop the service staff from serving everyone quickly and in a very friendly manner. The drinks were served after a short time. We ordered two ice cream coupes and a rebarber crumble with chocolate sorbe as well as a Winkelbadi cream slice. Since the cream cuts and the rebarber crumble are made fresh, we were immediately informed that this could take 20 minutes. The desserts that were then served were very delicious. We would love to come back for dessert.

Absolute insider tip - whether you just want to have a drink or indulge your palate, you can find everything. The view is incredibly great, the service is very nice. I can particularly recommend the products from “jumi”, unique quality. We look forward to your next visit!

A great place to have dinner, the atmosphere is cozy and the food is delicious. The only downside is that there is no public transport passes on the street where the restaurant is located.

Small restaurant with a relatively small menu. But 3 lunches every day on the daily menu. We, three people, had a good meal there, a simple menu with dessert for CHF 93.00 Unfortunately it is not built to be handicapped accessible, but the restaurant is part of the Badi. The swimming pool is wonderfully located on the lake and is also accessible for wheelchair users. The only negative point is the overpriced parking lot price of CHF 4.00 for half an hour, but the restaurant probably can't do anything about it. The parking money goes to the municipality and they want to limit car traffic.

Food was very good, exciting combinations, fits perfectly with the location right on the lake. What bothered us was that it was only after we had sat down and ordered that we were made aware that the table had been reserved for someone else in less than an hour. When asked about this, the lady simply said that her colleague had forgotten to put up the “reserved” sign… as if it was the most normal thing in the world that we could leave again soon. A pity.

The Winkelbadi is my summer childhood place. The fact that it still exists and also has a great restaurant is absolutely brilliant. I was catapulted back 45-50 years. Restaurant and food great and well maintained!!!

Cozy, quiet restaurant with fine food and a friendly and attentive crew. There are few parking spaces for cars, a parking space in front of the Winkelbadi costs 10 CHF for two hours. But this is perhaps a good thing, as it remains a little quieter than elsewhere. It is a good alternative to the Seehotel Sternen in summer.

Awesome little Strandbad with lake access and a nice little restaurant. We had cocktails and snacks which were good but very expensive. The views are stunning, especially during sunset. Worth a visit but beware of parking wardens who are very trigger happy!!

We celebrated a birthday and everything was perfect. Good grilled food with side dishes was special, there was one person there to serve the attentive staff. I'll be back to enjoy a drink or a meal at the lake

The boss is overwhelmed, the service is ok. We waited a long time until we were served, and the manager of the restaurant yelled at my colleague for a parasol. This is not how you treat your regular guests!!! It was my last visit to this restaurant.

There were 4 of us there for dinner, it was a disaster. We waited a long time for service. We asked for an umbrella as it was very hot. Guests who arrived after us received the umbrella beforehand. Since the European Championship was on TV, our umbrella blocked the view for two people. The manager of the restaurant wanted to move our umbrella but then we would be back in the sun. When we said this, he started screaming and disrespected us. This is bottom drawer!!!! And this despite the fact that my colleagues are regulars. I was there for the first and last time.

It was indescribably beautiful. The Badi am See is a highlight. The water temperature was 19°. It was wonderful to swim.

Actually a nice place, but in my opinion the prices in the restaurant are far too high for a Badi. Unfortunately, the staff is also inattentive.

Very nice location, right on the lake!

Some evenings/dinners will stay in your memory for a lifetime. This was that kind of a place for me. After a long day of hiking around Pilatus, came here on the advice of our Airbnb host - beautiful view of the sunset, the lake, the mountains, good food, fair prices, as lovely glass of Swiss wine. Heaven.
