Overall, the food was good. We ordered the stir-fried beef with chili as well as vegetables, the crispy duck and the stir-fried tofu with mushrooms. The beef with chili was not as spicy as we thought and was somewhat better than the one with the vegetables in terms of the flavor (the latter was quite salty). The crispy duck wasn’t too flavorful and rather dry. The service was extremely slow, it took them 50 minutes to bring our orders but it’s a good place to get Chinese food in Geneva.

Very good owner, good service, food is very authentic, generous amount and super tasty! We came when we weren't that hungry so we can't finish the food so we asked for takeaway boxes. The owner seemed concerened and ask if we didn't like the food, so we have to tell them that it was totally the opposite! He asked if we stayed in a hotel or house so he can pack for us chopsticks, very thoughtful!

Rather pleasant, choice, the dishes are well prepared, the service is a little slow and they are slightly in the moon🤤.

We think the Kung Pao Chicken is the most delicious item in this restaurant, and the preserved egg with chopped pepper is also delicious and goes well with rice, so we ate here for dinner two days in a row. Unfortunately, the xiaolongbao is not delicious, the skin is thick, and the filling tastes very ordinary. The Chongqing noodles are okay, and the mapo tofu is not spicy enough.

It was Saturday night , the place was full and busy, we did not have a reservation but they graciously managed to give us a table after a few minutes of waiting. The service was great, the food was excellent, and I can confidently recommend 👌 Restaurant Xiang Yu. It's probably best if you make a reservation beforehand

I strongly advise against it. We reserved a table for 5 for 12:30 p.m. The first course was served at 2:30 p.m. Very disappointed with the service!

I do not recommend this restaurant because the manager is haughty and rude. About 10 minutes after we finished eating, he came and brought us the bill without us asking, and asked if we wanted to pay by card, without giving us time to check the receipt. So I expressed the wish to check the bill, and he replied arrogantly that we had eaten for only 68 CHF and that we had occupied the table for 1 hour. I find it unacceptable to put pressure on us to force us to leave the restaurant.

Hunan cuisine is close to that of Sichuan, offered here in a toned down version accessible to most palates. We liked the eggplant (08), pork belly (904), beef (503), and duck blood (10). The only downside is that the kitchen has a coordination problem: the long-prepared dishes (10 and 503) are served half an hour after the others.

This place has really authentic spicy Chinese food. We ordered seven dishes and all tasted good. Service is top notch; everyone was nice and friendly. Price is also reasonable. We’ve been to quite a few Chinese restaurants while visiting Switzerland and this one has the best price, portion and taste. Strongly recommend to anyone visiting Geneva and craving for Chinese food.

An intriguing menu. My choices were good, I was impressed with the seafood. Noisy tables and singers coming from the street were a bit of a distraction.

The best Chinese food I have ever eaten in Europe, bar none, even better than many domestic restaurants! Having never been a fan of rice, I ate a bowl and a half of rice. It was really delicious! We ordered beer duck, stir-fried pork and sour beans with minced meat. They were all delicious and highly recommended. For people who don’t particularly like spicy food, this level of spiciness is more suitable. Highly recommended! But remember to make a reservation, it’s very popular.

It was the first time I ate such authentic Hunan cuisine in Europe. I felt like I was back in Hunan. Three people ordered five dishes and ended up eating five bowls of rice. It was so satisfying that I still had endless aftertaste after eating. I will come back next time I come to Switzerland. eat

Really great authentic cuisine in the heart of Geneva; the staff are really friendly (if a little rushed at times). The portions are large and you’ll certainly leave feeling full! Really good spicing, presentation and flavour!

Good food and very decent prices for the portions. I really recommend trying the Sichuan aubergine (spicy-sweet garlic soy sauce), it's delicious, it's in the "other plates" part of the Menu (and don't forget to add steamed rice) 😋

It is worth a special trip for international students and friends who are tired of Western food. My mother just came from Sichuan and praised the boss for making it authentic. One of the waiters was a Hong Kong uncle who was very enthusiastic, and there were two younger guys who looked shy but provided excellent service. Recommend the stir-fried pork and boiled beef. The portion is large enough for two people. If not enough, add a hand-shredded cabbage.

Wow I've never had such flavor and incredible good food in my life. This place was absolutely out of this world with flavor.

The food was decent, but even in the middle of summer, it was quite hot inside because there was no air conditioning. There are a couple of fans, but they don't cover the entire space. Enough to make someone who gets very hot start to sweat. Also, the food came out quite late, perhaps because the kitchen was short on staff compared to the seating capacity. Food came out at considerable intervals not only to our table but also to other tables, so there was someone in our group waiting to eat it all. It would be okay to go when the weather is nice and it's not crowded.

Best crispy duck I've had in a looooooong time! Everything I tasted here was delicious. Service was great as well, even though they had forgotten or misheard some orders, they were apologetic and fixed it quickly

A certain waiter was so disgusting that one star was given to him. 1. After serving the first vegetable, I deliberately did not serve the second dish and waited for 40 minutes. All the 5 tables near us finished eating and no one paid attention to us. After complaining to the front desk, the boss immediately served the dishes and re-served them with freshly fried vegetables. 2. After calling for the checkout, he deliberately ignored us. The tables next to us were busy and did not come to check out for us. Afterwards, we went directly to the front desk to check out and no one had any intention of coming over to check out. In the end, it was the boss who checked out for us. and apologize. In summary, wage earners are really stupid and bad. The boss has a good attitude, give him a thumbs up.

Amazing chinese restaurant. You can eat traditional chinese classics with authentic flavors, which is very rare to find in Europe. Staff is very efficient and kind. Absolutely recommend the place !

Very unfortunate experience. We (2) were ignored for 8 minutes and then had to leave. Completely ignored while others came in after us and were seen to. They even took telephone reservations which they accepted for the upcoming 15 minutes. There were almost 5 empty tables and 2 other tables about to finish. We were then told that there would be no table for at least 30 minutes. The didnt even greet us or acknowledge that we were waiting. We are not Asian (we are Africans), however other Asians who walked in after us were greeted with enthusiasm and attended to immediately.

Very bad service - we sat there for 15 minutes and no one came to give us the menu. Even when I walked to ask the waiter for the menu, the young waiter ignored me. I need to pick up the menu at the counter myself.. When we were eating, there was no waiter to replace the drinking water. Even at checkout, we had to walk up to the counter. We won't go there again.

I was shocked...and speechless...I think it's a good try for the people who don't know Chinese food, but if you've tried Hunan cuisine, more specifically, Changsha cuisine, it's not a good choice. We had a nice lunch in this place, it has the terrace out side where you can enjoy the fresh air. I suggest to add some umbrellas as the sun is really strong. About the food is super delicious.

I came here to eat here when I was traveling. The waiter was nice. The store is quiet and close to the train station. The price is a bit expensive. The biggest drawback is that the food is not fragrant and spicy enough. Even though I am not a big fan of spicy food, I think it is not spicy enough at all. It is incomparable with any Hunan food in China.

I don't think the prawns are very good and fresh, the fried pho is so-so and the duck is so-so.

The preserved egg with red pepper is quite delicious and spicy enough. I think the overall taste of other dishes is quite ordinary and not particularly delicious. Maybe I'm more accustomed to sweeter flavors. Also, the portions of each dish are quite small, so you need to order a few more dishes to enjoy the meal. The waiters are very kind, thank you for your hospitality.
