Very friendly welcome, nice and attentive service and overwhelming food (lunch menu). Somewhat unfavorable acoustics in the dining room on the first floor.

One of the best Michelin star restaurants that we have been too! In many cases, not all courses would be a hit as there will be some misses. However, at Zoe, we felt all courses from starters to main courses were really good, and delicious. The desserts were innovative and good. Also, the service is casual fine dining which we equally enjoyed. The staff are hospitable et friendly. Overall, a memorable evening well spent and we will definitely come back for another special occasion! They also accepted our dogs to be with us whilst dining. (Pet friendly) The wine pairing was good and they offered a mix of non alcoholic and alcoholic drinks for each course for us to pick one of our choice which is welcoming!

An outstanding concept and restaurant. Life is seasonal and regional. The creativity, versatility, focus on detail and ultimately the taste are phenomenal. A recommendation in every respect.

The ZOE restaurant offers a tasty, varied and creative lunch at lunchtime. The service was attentive and prompt. Absolutely recommended for a business lunch.

Every visit to Zoe is an experience for the senses. Exciting dishes that you have never seen before are served in a homely atmosphere. I always enjoy coming and I always leave with a huge smile. Everything from the menu selection to the wines, the service and the atmosphere is brilliant. It costs something, but it's worth every cent! It can also be vegan without any problem.

This is the Best vegetarian restaurant in Switzerland. Food and Service were incredible! Super recommended :)

Vegetarian cuisine at its best 💚

Super delicious, vegetarian food, interpreted in a modern way and made with a lot of love. We immediately felt comfortable and welcome and had a wonderful evening. The charming young gentleman who served us was also super nice. Originally working as a cook at ZOE, he helped out with the service that evening due to an injury and did a great job. Considering the Michelin star and the number of points, we would have liked a little more attention. Luckily we weren't test eaters. Nevertheless, our full recommendation for anyone who wants to experience vegetarian, modern star cuisine. Another positive aspect is the possibility of a non-alcoholic beverage accompaniment with some homemade drinks. This is something that has not yet arrived at many top restaurants and which we appreciated even more at ZOE! Would like more of it! Thank you very much for the brilliant evening and see you another time.

Absolute recommendation! We became aware of the restaurant through DeinDeal. We were warmly welcomed and served and the courses were all an experience. Water is available at a flat rate. An additional order to the booked package was also no problem.

Enjoyed several of the tasting dishes and wine selection. Great place to meet with friends for a pleasant evening. Some of the dishes were a bit too busy but despite delicious! Would have loved a bit simpler dishes to fully empathize the flavor of their great ingredients.

Since we have known Fabian for a long time, it was clear to us from the start that we would go to the ZOE. We were warmly welcomed and guided through the evening. The Negroni for the aperitif was excellent. We weren't disappointed by the food... we were surprised at how diverse the vegetarian cuisine was in terms of taste and never missed the meat.

A great restaurant! It's great that gourmet cuisine in Bern is also available in vegetarian/vegan form. The dishes are refined and harmonious with many subtle nuances. The service was top, the timing was perfect and all of our wishes were more than fulfilled. :) The table on the ground floor, next to the stairs, didn't detract from our experience in any way.

The food was really very creative and unusual. In addition, everything was prepared with great attention to detail. The only drawback were the seats on the ground floor. I didn't find this to be very comfortable.

The Zoe is located in the middle of Bern's old town and is spread over 2 floors. The service is friendly and attentive, and every course on the fine dining menu is explained in detail. The dishes were tasty, some things like the smoked aubergine or the corn in the Cheesecske weren't for me. The 8-course meal is more than filling, the time between courses was great. Overall a good experience. We paid 340 francs for 3.

For me, Restaurant Zoe is one of the best food experiences I have ever had. After 10 courses, I could remember every single course I ate for 3 days afterwards. Great show and unique art on the plate. The service was very competent and the wines went well with the food. I recommend Restaurant Zoe to anyone who wants to enjoy an unforgettable experience!

Restaurant ZOE is very special, but also very well served. All dishes were briefly explained by the service what they were and how best to enjoy them. Drinks service was also very good. Had a 7 course menu and was very enthusiastic. I can only recommend testing this out for yourself. Every dish was a taste explosion, fantastic.

I've been a vegetarian for over 25 years, and I've never eaten as good as at Zoe. It is a pleasure that cannot be put into words. You have to try it and experience it. Top!

Take the time. The food was a taste explosion over 2 hours. Every course is a surprise. The dishes are beautifully presented and served with commentary. I don't go here to eat, but to enjoy. The individual dishes are small, but the number of courses fills you up. Sure the price is high, but nothing comes from nothing, as already mentioned here it's more than getting full, take the time and enjoy.

As a vegetarian I was very much looking forward to trying this restaurant but sadly it wasn’t just the over use of Kombucha that left a sour taste in my mouth. The food was well presented but not particularly tasty and after 10 courses you would think that someone with a small appetite would be satisfied but sadly that was not the case. The portions, or better said, ‘mouthfuls’ didn’t quite hit the spot. The staff were helpful and very attentive. Unfortunately the biggest disappointment was the price. It was extortionate! I think it will take a while to recover from that particular shock. I would not return to this restaurant. There are better restaurants in Bern with good vegetarian options that won’t leave you feeling hungry or poor.

We were able to spend a wonderful evening at ZOE. It was a culinary experience for both the eye and the palate. The varied preparation of the dishes created a colorful world of taste. My personal conclusion is that I would like to come back for a beer or perhaps a main course, but unfortunately I cannot recommend the large menu for the price-performance ratio. The cuisine: I really liked the taste of the 7-course menu. The pasta dish was a true comfort food experience and extremely tasty. In addition, the presentation of the dishes was a real feast for the eyes. The kitchen puts great emphasis on plating and the plates looked fantastic. However, I don't think it's appropriate to leave hungry after a 7-course meal. The portions were too small for me and didn't really fill me up. In my opinion, bread and amuse-bouche should not be listed as separate courses on the menu. Furthermore, guests with lactose intolerance should be offered an alternative on their plate instead of disappointing them with a slimmed-down menu. For dessert, the portion was reduced so much that in the end there was only a little melon salad left. Last but not least, I was missing a truly complementary drink accompaniment. Tastes can vary, but it was disappointing not to be served a suitable drink with dessert. After we asked, we were told that "the espresso was it". The service: Our service was always friendly and attentive. However, it was disappointing and potentially dangerous that, despite repeated advice both during the reservation and on the evening itself, two of the three allergens were not taken into account, in particular the strawberry allergy, which was expressly mentioned. A strawberry cocktail was still served. Last but not least, continuing to add glasses even though they are not yet empty does not fit the desired fine dining experience. You feel rushed and it's like being processed without paying any attention to the guest.

The ZOE is a gift for Bern. Even if other restaurants now offer good vegetarian menus, ZOE tops everything. Each course is a work of art, a blaze of color and the various components promise a taste explosion. The service is extremely friendly and helpful. What's particularly nice is that the two owners also serve courses and are open to special requests. Our 9-year-old daughter was able to order a course that was adapted to her needs and was also very enthusiastic. Conclusion: we will definitely come back!!!

We were 2 people and made a reservation on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. What we both think of this evening and can really say is that it was fantastic and pretty much everything, from the food to the service, everything! It really convinced us, even for our first vegetarian fine-dining experience. I knew that you could do a lot with vegetables and that they were simply a great food. But the 10 courses we had showed me that meat and fish are simply not a must. All the employees were always friendly and took their time if you had a small question about the food or something else. They close at 11 a.m. This was also communicated to us in a very friendly manner, at the right time and without being taken by surprise, which I really appreciate as a guest We will be back!

We were there two weeks ago and enjoyed a 7-course vegan and an 8-course vegetarian. The service was very good. The food was really good and we will remember it for a long time. There could be a little more natural wine to choose from but otherwise there is really nothing to complain about. Keep it up and we are already looking forward to the next time at Zoe.

We had a really nice summer evening in the Zoe restaurant today. The atmosphere in the old town is wonderful. The 7-Gand menu was super delicious and just enough to fill you up. We recommend!

Bern's old town on a warm summer evening combined with the excellent food from Zoe is a wonderful experience. I can highly recommend the menu, every single course is wonderfully balanced, an eye-opener in terms of taste and I was full after 8 courses but didn't overeat, so a perfect evening :-)

We remember the chef from his previous endeavour in Bern. The atmosphere is nice, restaurant's staff is helpful and the set we ordered (8 servings) was well done. A few really surprised, all were very good made, presented and tasty. Setting up bread (very tasty) with oil and butter as a separate serving in the menu seems a bit odd, I have to admit. The wine list is very nice, indeed. Expensive restaurant, be ready to leave 150+ CHF per person for a full scale 8 servings dinner.

Went to the ZOE for a business lunch. Refined cuisine, rarely had such a good lunch. All three courses were excellent. Friendly and attentive service. Great restaurant. Tip: The homemade Kombucha Spritz is next level!

Vegetarian dishes at a high level. I have visited several times and I also really enjoyed the bowl at lunchtime. When the weather is nice, the meal is served on Münstergasse. The ambience is very pleasant. The furnishings are elegant and comfortable. And the service is "obenus" beautiful ceramics!

Great service, good wine advice and good food with sophistication

I was in the new Zoe for the first time today. To keep it short: It was simply awesome 🤩 All wishes were catered for. The staff was super nice and accommodating. The business lunch was extremely tasty, regional and innovative. A big compliment to the entire Zoe team. Our 4 year old daughter also got her money's worth. Fine bread and then homemade taglierini 🙌 For dessert she was served a delicious chocolate ice cream by the boss himself. We look forward to our next visit, dear Mark and Fabian

During my recent visit to Zoe, I found the staff to be exceedingly friendly and hospitable. The professional and attentive service was commendable. The ambiance of the restaurant was also noteworthy, with tasteful and chic decor, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. However, there were some shortcomings during my visit. For instance, I was not pleased to find that the Amuse bouche and bread were considered individual courses on the menu, which seemed inappropriate and ultimately detracted from the overall dining experience. When it comes to the menu and food, I must admit that I was somewhat underwhelmed. Although the food was well-prepared, the overall menu lacked originality and creativity. It appeared to be overly simple and almost homestyle cooking. The only innovative aspect on the menu was a beetroot dessert, which unfortunately did not succeed in terms of taste or texture. This was unfortunate as it was the only truly inventive dish, and it turned out to be a disappointment.

Really an enrichment for the restaurant scene in Bern - purely plant-based but with fine dining ambition. We chose a la carte/sharing. Everything tasted excellent, but the presentation was a bit monotonous (not bad, just always similar from course to course). Would probably choose the menu next time. Nice wine list and friendly service.

Beautiful old town restaurant at a top level. You can choose between a multi-course menu or a generous à la carte menu. Exclusively vegetarian dishes, which are balanced and varied in flavor. Highly recommended!
