Absolutely TOP! Great food, great service! We will be back.

Last Sunday I was with someone for dinner at the Güggel restaurant. I called at very short notice to make a reservation. We were welcomed very friendly. I have rarely eaten such good cordon bleu. The service was very attentive, extremely charming and even had time for a little chat after the meal. I'm already looking forward to my next Cordon Bleu in Güggel and hopefully the service will be as charming again. Marcel Meyer, Dottikon

Great location right on the main street. The parking spaces are also located directly in front of the restaurant. The menu offers something delicious for every wish. The wild card now in autumn is sensational. An absolute must for game lovers. The food is excellent and highly recommended, as is of course the service. There were six of us plus a small child.. we called 10 minutes before we arrived and reserved seats.. the innkeeper was already very friendly on the phone. We were welcome to come a few minutes later.. but after 5 minutes we were already there, We received a very warm welcome and our seats were lovingly laid out. We all enjoyed the dishes very much! The prices for dishes are perfectly reasonable! Everything was freshly prepared, I think even chicken nuggets! What I found so great is definitely the hospitality! Unfortunately, this is no longer a given everywhere! We all felt very comfortable and at home! The highlight was that there were even (even if a small corner) toys, which are unfortunately in short supply in Swiss restaurants! A few things are no longer enough, very exemplary I have to say! When ordering, special care was taken to ensure that the smallest guest received their menu first, and there was even a little surprise for the little guest, which was very sweet! Greetings from the kitchen were also very nice, she asked us all beforehand if anyone didn't like pork or didn't eat pork, she was very attentive, I was the only one who didn't eat pork, so the alternative offered was simply MEGA! THANK YOU again for everything, we will definitely be happy to come back just for the attentive service, the hospitality and simply because of the loving innkeeper❤️

Wir kennen den Güggel erst seit diesem Lockdown, wo wir mehrmals sein super Take Away Angebot benutzt haben. Ob Cordon Bleu, Stroganoff, Fischknusperli oder Rindsfilet, es schmeckt alles wunderbar. Von der perfekten Garstufe des Filets selbst noch zuhause am Esstisch waren wir begeistert. Wir freuen uns, wenn wir in nächster Zeit auch mal die Terrasse kennenlernen dürfen und dann auch mal einen Apéro und ein Dessert geniessen dürfen. Danke für Euren Service und das feine Essen.

As always, I had a delicious meal at Güggel. The fall menu is full of delicious and seasonal dishes. The kitchen is very well maintained and what is very important, the quality is consistently at a high level. The service is very personable and professional. I can warmly recommend the restaurant. Update January 23, 2021: And another great performance from the Güggeli team. If all restaurants simply close during the lockdown, the friendly team offers take-away on Saturday and Sunday in order to always prepare delicious dishes with the same motivation. Thank you very much, it brings a little sunshine into these dark times.

We were able to celebrate an unforgettable wedding party with the Güggel team in the large hall. Despite last-minute location and menu changes (due to weather), everything worked perfectly. We found the whole team to be very flexible, organized and courteous. The food was sensational, everyone was thrilled. The very attentive service can only be praised. All of our wishes were taken seriously and skilfully implemented. Again any time! Keep it up!

The food was very good, the service was very friendly. The fact that the host couple's child was still running around the edge of the restaurant at 8 p.m. was less pleasant, as the staff had to be very careful about where the child was at all times.

Hier gibt es den besten Eiskaffee ( mit Kirsch ) Super fein. Hier kehren wir immer wieder gerne ein wenn wir auf der durchfahrt sind. Auch das essen ist vorzüglich.

The perfect dinner in a fantastic garden terrace Went there for dinner with friends. Excellent food, atmosphere and very friendly and competent staff gave us a wonderful evening in the Restaurant zum Güggel. Families with children are also catered for; with a slide and a sandpit, the little ones can pass the time wonderfully under the supervision of their parents.

Waren mit Freunden zum Abendessen da. Exzellentes Essen, Atmosphäre und sehr freundliches und kompetentes Personal haben uns einen wunderschönen Abend im Restaurant zum Güggel beschert. Auch für Familien mit Kinder wurde gesorgt, mit eine Rutsche und einen Sandkasten können sich die Kleinen unter Aufsicht der Eltern wunderbar die Zeit vertreiben.

Familiengeführtes Restaurant und sehr freundlich. Das Essen war sehr gut und auch genügend grosse Portionen. Preis-Leistung passt, wir kommen wieder.

Nach einer gemütlichen Kegelrunde, dürften wir den kulinarischen Teil im Güggel geniessen. Die Wildgerichte schmeckten einfach hervorragend. Wir hatten Hirsch Stroganoff mit Spätzle.....dazu einen super spanischen Wein...und das Dessert rundete den gemütlichen Abend ab. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist perfekt. Grosses Lob auch an die Bedienung, welche jederzeit sehr aufmerksam war. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Gute Auswahl an Wildgerichten zu einem guten Preis. Einfach nur köstlich. Dazu ein perfekter Wein. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm, die Deko im Restaurant sehr nett, aber nicht zu aufdringlich. Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Ich war nicht zum ersten Mal hier und komme gerne immer wieder.

Wir waren letzten Sonntag das erste Mal im Güggel. Schon viel Gutes haben wir gehört, und konnten uns jetzt auch gleich selbst davon überzeugen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, und stets mit einem Lächeln unterwegs. Auch ein kurzer Schwatz mit den Gästen liegt hier auf dem Land noch drin ;-) Das Winter Cordon Bleu war der absolute Hit und jedem zu empfehlen! Super lecker!!! Der Güggel ist ja auch für die tollen Cordon Bleu Kreationen bekannt.Wir freuen uns auf die Frühlings Kreationen! Wir kommen wieder!! Bis bald

Wir haben uns entschlossen, das Silvestermenü im Restaurant Güggel zu geniessen. Es war eine sehr gute Entscheidung. Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Angefangen vom aufmerksamen Service über die Dekoration im Restaurant bis zum genussvollen 7-Gang Menü. Ein rundum gelungener Abend und wir wurden kulinarisch richtig verwöhnt. Wir kommen sicherlich auch 2019 wieder.

Ich war mit einem Freund beim Wandern zu Besuch im Güggel.Wir haben beide einen Hamburger bestellt,einmal mit Country Cuts und einmal mit Basilikumspätzle.So viel vorab,sowohl das Personal war ehrlich freundlich, wie auch die Wirte und der Koch, die alle vorbeigekommen sind und sich erkundigt haben, waren sehr sympathisch und aufmerksam.Das Essen war ok, jedoch schmeckte der Hamburger quasi gleich, wie von McDonalds, zumindest ich würde keinen Unterschied merken - und dafür gehe ich eigentlich nicht ins Restaurant und zahle das x-fache. Mindestens die Brötchen hätten man selber machen können. Sehr schade, selber etwas zu kreieren würde zumindest mich wieder ins Restaurant bringen.Da alles ein bisschen nach fertig oder nachgemacht geschmeckt hat, würde ich eigentlich nicht mehr als 1-2 Sterne geben, da aber alle wirklich sehr herzlich, aufmerksam und super nett waren gibt es hier von Herzen lieb gemeinte 3 Sternchen.

Man merkt, dass man sich Mühe gibt. Es gibt einen kleinen Gruss aus der Küche. Die Qualität des Essens ist in Ordnung. Preis ist angemessen. Finesse darf man natürlich nicht erwarten. Salatdressing offensichtlich nicht hausgemacht.

Wir waren das erste mal hier. Wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und zum Tisch geleitet. Als Vorspeise hatten wir einen schmackhaften, grossen Saisonsalat. Zur Hauptspeise wurde uns von der sehr aufmerksamen und freundlichen Bedienung ein Kalbsgeschnetzeltes, einmal mit Rahm- und einmal mit Currysauce, serviert. Beide Speisen haben uns ausgezeichnet gemundet. Dazu eine feine Flasche Wein. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier total. Einziger Kritikpunkt: der Espresso war nach unserem Geschmack etwas wässrig/dünn. Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Abend und wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.

Beim Cordon Bleu hatten wir den Eindruck, als sei es vorgebraten gewesen und dann in der M- Welle aufgewärmt. Keine Kruste der Panade, war soggy.

Immer wieder fein. Die Cordonbleu‘s sind Hammer . Service sehr sympathisch und nett. Ob zu zweit oder mit Freunden sehr empfehlenswert Wir werden wiederkommen

Stinky smoking place. Never again! Dear Mr Stutz, Fact: I was invited to a birthday party in Güggel. At 11 p.m. some guests in the hall started smoking, even though there were still children there. Die Angestellten im Restaurant waren nicht freundlich mit uns, auch gab es keine Optionen oder Sorten für das Essen, eigentlich war es das einzige Restaurant bis spät abends und wir waren am Verhungern.
