Last night an excellent pizza, this evening a simply sublime risotto with porcini mushrooms

I went for a work appointment and they welcomed me with a smile. While waiting for my colleague they made me sit down and I took a gazosa with ice and tarallini as a side dish. I immediately noticed the blackboard with the chef's proposals and I must say they were truly tempting. It's a shame I couldn't stop by for dinner but I certainly want to come back to try something from their inviting menu.

Dinner for group work. Not everything was good but above all the prices are out of proportion for this type of place and food: 1 pizza even €16/18???? We are not in Piazza S. MARCO in Venice!

Excellent pizza 🍕 and friendly staff

The location was perfect for me for what I had to do. However, the restaurant (and the hostel) are located just under the motorway bridge (it remains quite well soundproofed being 30 meters below and following the installation of noise barriers) Concerning the rooms, for the price paid, the ratio is very good. A coffee machine and still and sparkling water in a fridge are available free of charge. Breakfast is served at the table (included in the room price) and for the price it is more than fair.

Ok restaurant, nothing particular to report, kind and friendly staff, good pizza and other dishes in general, all my friends I went to dinner with left satisfied, honest prices.

I went a couple of weeks ago with my better half, very welcoming environment and very helpful dining room staff to help you choose the dish that's right for you! We started with a chef's appetizer (photo corresponding to a portion) proposed by the waiter and it was actually an excellent choice! Clams, meatballs, calamari and prawns! A big Up with garlic prawns!!!! You absolutely must try them, exquisite sauce and prawns that melt in your mouth! We continued our dinner with a plate of spaghetti with clams, very tasty, a bit of a shame because there was a bit of sand. We finished our dinner with a sea bream fillet which was also very good. All in all, a more than satisfactory quality/price ratio, I highly recommend it for a fish-based dinner (better on weekends because there is more choice on fresh fish). We will definitely be back!

The hotel is just under the highway. However, it is very quiet. The room, etc. is perfectly clean. The price-performance ratio is right. The breakfast was perfect for us. It would be good to know that the albergo or reception does not open until 5:30 p.m.

Ate very well, waited very little and spent the right amount in a very, very quiet context, definitely to be recommended, I will return.

Good business lunch at a good price, very friendly and courteous staff

We had chosen your restaurant for a special occasion, an anniversary. Thank you for ruining our evening with your indifference, arrogance and conceit (I can also explain the etymology of the aforementioned words in case you don't know them). The two characters we accidentally glimpsed seemed enraged at the world but perhaps the problem was a scratch on the bodywork or a small tear on their expensive shirt?. In any case, what does a couple of customers who had even booked have to do with it? In a half-empty restaurant, the non-existent service and the contemptuous treatment can only be explained by a personal dislike regardless. Or maybe they mistook us for ROM despite the Swiss license plate and a brand new car? Staying for almost half an hour without even a glass of water, with two menus thrown absentmindedly on the table and when asked for the wine list being addressed as if you were starving and couldn't afford wine, "eh, you have to ask for that !!!" (With the tone normally used to respond to an insult.) Then seeing other customers who arrived later pass by and be served, and then still be totally ignored, what does it mean in your opinion? Maybe the "gentlemen" managers have cognitive problems? ...As if we had been financial agents or health inspectors... I say. A piece of advice from those who visit numerous restaurants for work: Dedicate yourself to wine (at least in that I hope you are more than excellent otherwise a profound existential question will really arise) and leave catering to those who really understand it. A job should be an inspiration, not a tremendous, gritted-teeth effort. Really, forget it. I imagine I will only be able to receive answers that drip rhetoric: "our long experience", "I understand that you are an expert", "we apologize for the inconvenience but...". But nothing. You cannot be treated as if you were in the presence of the Marquis del Grillo of distant memory who tells you: "I am me and you are not a dick". It really is unacceptable.

Portuguese and Spanish cuisine, lots of fish in all ways and cod cannot be missing

Disappointed. We booked for dinner, when we arrived the welcome was as if we were a nuisance. Once seated, we look at the menu, and wait... motioning that we are ready to order, we ask for the wine list and we are told that we had to ask for it. We look at the wine list and wait again... in the meantime a table of people who arrived after us is served with drinks, no one asked us if we wanted water, I deduce it was our job to ask for it. Although the restaurant was practically empty, after another twenty minutes without seeing anyone to order water, wine or food, we went elsewhere. I can't know what the food is like, but from the service I received, I'm frankly left with no curiosity left.

Nice place, plentiful dishes, good menu choice. Friendly and kind staff and last but not least customer care. I asked for tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms off the menu and they were made for me, appreciated. Very good dish with abundant porcini mushrooms, balanced dish with the right flavor. Well done! I highly recommend and will happily return.

I've been here several times for lunch, and I have to say that everything is very good

We stayed there for one night on our way to Italy and it was great! The bathroom is equipped with everything you need (toothbrushes, shower gel, hairdryer...) and the bathroom and room were spotlessly clean and nicely furnished. We received a very friendly welcome and with a combination of German, Italian and English, communication was no problem. The place is very nice, the food (we had pizza) was just great! It's a shame that the restaurant isn't near us, we would definitely be there more often! We were very satisfied all around 😀 👍

Restaurant closed during my stay. Really very modest hotel, in the attic. Never again in my life, I would rather sleep under the overpass which is the panorama offered by this hotel restaurant.

Very well located near Lugano (therefore the lake), Chiasso and Italy! We had a very good stay and recommend this stop because the value for money is EXCELLENT! It was wonderful... The food, the staff, the boss and everything there in general. The rooms are also clean and there is nothing to complain about.

Near the Ponte Chiasso customs office. Pizza restaurant with Portuguese/Spanish cuisine. Classy dinner... we had an appetizer of cold cuts with smileys, accompanied by Ticino red wine (all excellent). As a first course we all had paella (min 2 people). My memories immediately went to the paella eaten in Barcelona... so the comparison immediately started... in my opinion not won. We were however satisfied with the wine service and the food. The price in the end was also average for Switzerland. Recommended for those who are nostalgic for Spain without big demands.

The food was very good. The wine could be selected in the wine shop together with the helpful and friendly waiter. The bottles are also sold. There were blankets to combat the cold. Don't be put off by the situation. Restaurant is located in the industrial district. But you will be surprised with white tablecloths and a warm ambience. I would happily recommend it.

Wir waren für 2 Nächte im Borgovecchio. Preis / Leistung ist voll ok. Die Zimmer sind sauber. Badezimmer relativ gross, aber ohne Tageslicht. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Mineralwasser und Kaffee waren gratis erhältlich. Von der Lage her......für uns war es ok, ist aber relativ laut von der Strasse her. Auch das Hotel selber ist sehr geringhörig.Das Restaurant ist sehr schön, die Angestellten freundlich. Frühstück war lecker. Nachtessen war zT sehr gut zT war es ok..

We spent 6 nights in the mini suite as a family. We were welcomed very personally by Andrea, the managing director. In general, the staff is very friendly and responds to requests. Breakfast was brought to the table (possibly only during Covid time). Even our hungry boys were more than full. The pizzaiolo made us one of the best pizzas in the wood-fired oven. The chef cooked something delicious every evening, whether Italian, Portuguese or Spanish. He is originally Spanish, which is why the Primi Piatti was no worse. The service is very attentive. The ambience in the restaurant is great. I really liked the wine bottles in the background, which are also for sale. Our room, the mini suite, was big enough for two adults and two boys. The room has been renovated and has attractive pictures. However, everything is not 100% finished here. Not all lamps or blinds work like this. There is air conditioning which we didn't need. There are only skylights. It is important to know that the highway passes over a bridge right next to the hotel. So the noise level and ambience are not exactly great. The hotel is located in the industrial area. However, you can quickly reach vineyards on foot or by bike. Excursion destinations in southern Ticino can also be easily reached by public transport. There were two small incidents, but they were dealt with easily. Price-performance is very good. It's not quite enough for 5 stars. If I could, I would give 4.5 stars. We have rarely experienced such warm hosts as Andrea, the waiters and the pizzaiolo. Thanks.

Amazing place. Stuff is very professional and ready to go extra miles just to give you warm feelings. Nice choice of local and regional wines. Tasty food. I staying in the hotel for a night as well. Room is cosy, clean and really big. Car park in the side as well.... Strictly recommended. Will come back again. Thank you for everything guys- you doing great job.....
