Ristorante Buffet Bellavista in Mendrisio

I had lunch at the Bellavista buffet. The place is welcoming, with a pleasant stove lit. The food is local, tasty and the portions are right. The wine is excellent and also the bitterness of the generous mountain. The staff is professional, courteous, smiling and helpful and the atmosphere is pleasant. From the Bellavista buffet you can also go for walks, which the waitress suggested to us. 10+

CHINOISE FONDUE AT BELLAVISTA MONTE GENEROSO 👍 Arriving by train at Bellavista we found a welcoming atmosphere which proved to be a real refuge during the snowfall, compliments to the chef and the very kind and attentive staff. We will return for another evening, perhaps raclette 😊

We had a wonderful raclette evening with a mountain ride from Capolago at 7 p.m. Top location, great ambience, very good food and very nice hosts. Everything perfect. We'd love to come back.

What can I say...we left here with an excellent breakfast...top cappuccinos and spectacular cake...to return from the summit and have an excellent lunch...getting over the fact that we didn't enjoy a beautiful view due to the overcast sky ...Fabulous polenta and braised meat from super chef Roby...accompanied by a serene and cheerful service from Margherita and Sara..We will definitely be happy to return!

After a beautiful walk of hours immersed in snow-covered nature :) it was wonderful to arrive at Bellavista, look at the view and be able to enter your restaurant, friendly and hospitable staff, a warm and well-kept place inside. THE DELICIOUS MENU. In summer with favorable weather you can also eat a delicious 😋 platter outside. Have I intrigued you? All you have to do is go there, ps. Very satisfying to get there with a nice walk! However there are no excuses because even with the train you can get right there.

I was on Monday 25 September with my wife in this lovely buffet/restaurant, as well as the intermediate station of the rack railway that takes you from Capolago to the top of Mount Generoso. We eat very well. The girl who served us was very courteous and told us anecdotes and history of the place as well as advising us on what to do to see the best, still magnificent views of the Alps, Lugano and its lake.

With the motorbike from Mendrisio up to the Bellavista car park - free motorbike parking. Individual sections of the route in the cool forest, with hairpin bends, the road is steep, narrow, the surface needs repair. From the Bellavista car park, walk about 20 minutes to the Bellavista intermediate station. Great view of the Ceresio and the Melide lake basin. Stop at Ristorante Buffet Bellavista. Try the tagliatelle al ragù di coniglio. Beautiful terrace, clean, service very friendly and attentive. Return comfortably with the helmet visor open to enjoy the fresh, cool mountain and forest air.

Excellent welcome from Mrs. Margherita; generous portions and very good quality; very nice environment, excellently renovated. I will definitely come back on the next trip to Monte Generoso.

The Buffet has just been renovated, the cozy interior is made with material from the region. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. A small but carefully selected choice of local food specialities are served in perfect dish size.

The food is what they offer in the advertisements, there is no paper in the bathrooms, the service is terrible, they offer promotional pulque which they never give, the entrance is very ugly, it is not recommended at all and it is not worth coming to this place DON'T GO!!!
