Good, honest food at a great price

We went there for a coffee (cappuccino and espresso doppio). Ambience very nice, coffee very good, service rather sober. Prices as usual.

Very good, plentiful dishes. Gluten-free is also good!

The place is gorgeous, the service is good, the dishes are a little below expectations, a risotto with mazzara del vallo prawns creamed with buffalo burrata, it should have at least one prawn, it should be creamy, not soupy, and the rice was overcooked . Noodles With Salmon? It would be better to write salmon flavoured. In practice I recommend greater attention. It was probably the chef's day off.

Poor waiter's daughter was all alone, full speed back and forth.

Excellent experience, my husband and I recommend this restaurant/bar for several reasons: Emanuele and Diego are available, professional and attentive to customers. The quality of the food is very good (we enjoyed both the risotto with luganeghetta and saffron and the paccheri with fresh tuna and pistachios). The restaurant is located in Piazza Grande, personally the most beautiful in Locarno and is convenient and close to the funicular, the train station, the lakeside promenade and the historic center. The place was clean and comfortable and we recommend it heartily

I came last weekend during the Lascona half-marathon in Locarno. Very quiet place with super pleasant service. The two people working there that Sunday were very friendly and helpful. It's certain, I think I'll come back

There were 2 of us. What can I say? Exquisite purple prawn risotto, very good. Lime paccheri with raw tuna, a very good delicacy. The waiter Emanuele was very good and professional

We are people from the area and today we stopped at Piazza for lunch. The staff was courteous, the menu cards are well made and the square always has its charm. What disappointed us was the quality of the food: the roast beef was now almost a roast while the veal liver was also overcooked and, as with my Paillard, drowned in butter. We don't expect fitness cuisine, but honestly this was just too much.

I stopped for an aperitif with friends and had a great time. The place is cozy while the staff very friendly and kind.

Food & Service was good, but we waited 2h+ for our food (during Film Festival, but still… )

In May we had pizza that was rarely this good. The pizza dough was very special and tasted excellent. We then went there again in July. The pizza we were served was bad. We were very disappointed. When we asked the waitress about it, she confirmed that the pizzaiolo had changed and since then the pizza was no longer what it was before. We will never visit this restaurant again and can no longer recommend it.

We ate here during the holidays. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The lasagna was good and so was the carbonara.

Went to this restaurant last Friday at Moon &Stars on reservation! Nothing was prepared at the agreed time!! There was total chaos. The special food menu was very poor for our taste! The service was terrible and the food was bad, right down to the salad! But the kicker is that we were charged for 3 bottles of water (only consumed 1) and 2 Campari Oranges (didn't consume any at all)! The waiter got himself a nice tip that evening! We discovered the error with the mineral water and it was corrected on a bottle, but unfortunately he was able to pocket the 18 francs for the Camparis!! Unfortunately we only noticed this later! Please avoid this restaurant, it is a disaster!!!

Ate one of the most boring pizzas (Guns & Roses) of my life at Moon & Stars, and that for 28 Stutz! In addition, the bartender's bottom was constantly in his face, as a bar was built directly at our table. Service staff overwhelmed, came by twice in 4 hours after waving. I definitely won't come back again.

New management for 2 weeks: food ok as before but menu with higher cost and fewer things inside... not a good way to become regular customers...

2 plates not full in the same way even though we ordered the same thing. The waitress absolutely not pleasant and polite. He orders the wrong order for my friend and says it was us who made the mistake. The waitress limits the cutlery on the table, in short, move on, poor service and not that good.

It is a restaurant located in the most beautiful square in Locarno with outdoor tables, friendly and capable staff, excellent cuisine and fair prices, absolutely worth trying!

I will avoid this restaurant. We had to wait a long time for our food. I had to look for the meat for my Spaghetti Bolonese. After my complaint I got a gravy boat with a lot of sauce, unfortunately the same sauce as on spagetti. Real packet food, no taste. I had actually tomato spagetti. Luckily there was cheese and a pepper mill to spice things up. Not recommended at all... never again!!!

Today we went to eat at this restaurant located in Piazza Grande in Locarno. My husband had the gnocchi with salmon and asparagus while I preferred the pizza. What to say! Fresh and tasty products, the pizza was sublime and very light, the gnocchi were also delicious. Impeccable service, friendly and attentive staff to every request. I highly recommend this place!

We were served very friendly. However, the food leaves a lot to be desired. We ordered a green salad, a minestrone and a fitness plate with chicken. The soup was bland. The two salads were out of the bag, the carrots were very dry (not fresh) and the salad dressing wasn't homemade either. Luckily there was olive oil and balsamic vinegar to spice it up. The chicken was beyond good and bad. Very, very dry. I assume it was pre-cooked and reheated in the microwave. It doesn't work at all. A careless arrangement of the ingredients. You still have considerable potential for improvement, because with this location and staff you could earn a lot more money. Despite everything, I wish you all the best for the upcoming season!

Good cuisine with good Neapolitan pizzas, the service is excellent and you can also enjoy the events that bring Piazza Grande to life such as Moon and Stars and film festivals while sitting comfortably at the table in front of an Aperol spritz or dining in an excellent atmosphere

Stopped here for lunch while visiting Locarno. We had wonderful service and a great view of the Piazza Grande. Definitely recommend an Aperol spritz & the peppardelli porcini. All our food was great and our server was attentive and polite. Definitely worth a visit!

I went on a Saturday for something to eat, nothing in particular to say other than that the staff is very friendly, the meal was satisfying and the prices are affordable.

The food was very good. Prices were ok. Had they taken less time to bring the food to the table they would have gotten five stars but the wait was long.

The best pizzas in Locarno! And super well attended! I also tried the menu of the day and it was truly spectacular! Without a doubt, I will return!

Would definitely suggest changing the staff. The one waiter cannot be surpassed in terms of rudeness and arrogance. Both were very stressed, which was also passed on to the guests. Then people complain about them in Italian behind the guests' backs. When he then asked if my mother had a problem because she seemed so nervous, I was really worried. His answer to that...there are just things that need to be said! I'm still appalled by such behavior. My only mistake.....should have read the Google reviews first. 2.8 actually says it all. Please spend your money elsewhere.

I would say here, great ambience and great coffee. But that was it. The service was very rude, arrogant and unmotivated. Something like that doesn't work. I would rather have a nice atmosphere with good staff and good food…

For the pizza I would give it a 4/5. Unfortunately, like most people who eat here, I share the same opinion. The staff is a bit unfriendly and very jagged. That we are certainly keen to reoccupy the table as quickly as possible. Given the situation, it's almost understandable.

Unfortunately we really can't recommend the restaurant. The salad came across as if it had been poured out of a ready-made package and served with ready-made sauce. The salad, the pizza, the Hugo and the risotto were not lovingly prepared. The atmosphere wasn't really inviting either. The service otherwise was ok. The prices are generally okay, but not justified for the service you get.

Friendly service staff and prompt. We also had a special wish fulfilled. The store was pretty busy and the food came quickly. Quality of the food is acceptable. If you've observed what's going on and people are waiting to get a seat, the place can't be as bad as everyone describes it.

I give 3 stars for the lasagna, the calzone pizza was the worst we have ever eaten. Service, well, I know it was full, but I think it was rather bad after 25 minutes until we could order something to drink. The service gentleman was friendly but very stressed. This shows us once again that instead of eating in a place where there is too much tourism, it is better to go inside and into the hustle and bustle after your meal

For 100-Fr. Ate and drank, and finally at 10:45 p.m. I was asked to drink up and leave, and that in a lower-class restaurant... friendliness is not a priority. Food leaves a lot to be desired.

Nach einem coolen Biketag waren wir im Piazza. Leckeren hausgemachten Kuchen und der Chai Latte war ja lecker. Die Einrichtung ladet zum verweilen ein sowie die nette Bedienung. Wir kommen also gerne wieder.

Very cheeky service didn't ask if we wanted dessert and just threw the food, drink etc. down and you couldn't even pay separately. The food, however, was OK but not exactly extraordinary either.

Auf unserem Wochenendtrip nach Laax durften wir dieses Kaffee entdecken. Sehr gemütlich, tolles Essen und nettes Personal. Hier ist jeder willkommen und es gibt eine regionale Auswahl für jeden Geschmack. Uns hat es echt gut gefallen und wir werden definitiv wieder kommen.

Wanted to get a drink at 8 p.m. Almost couldn't sit here because it supposed to be only for dinner...? After some time we were allowed to sit and have a beer, but we had to move a few tables back.. not quite sure what kind of service this was...

Ein Ort, wo man richtig guten Kaffee bekommt, sogar mit wunderschöne Latteart. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Ein Besuch im Piazza ist ein Muss! Bis zum nächsten mal :)

To avoid ! 38 francs for a piece of beef, a good third of which is nerve, accompanied by vegetables and a poor quality industrial pepper sauce without forgetting the 20 poor fries supposedly due to the kitchen which was overloaded. Vitello Tonnato terrible...definitely not fresh. Hair on the food was charged in full. Even the frozen fries where you can't go wrong: old oil in which fish was fried -> really not good. Salad with ready-made sauce for 10.50.. At least the service was nice.

The appetizer came 40 minutes after ordering. The mixed starter plate consisted of cold cuts carelessly spread over iceberg lettuce. Unfortunately the plate came without bread. After repeated complaints, the bread was delivered after 15 minutes. brought at the same time as the main course. Unfortunately one pizza wasn't the one we ordered and all were lukewarm and limp, so I only get one star for shrugging the shoulders of the overwhelmed waitress...

Ristorante Bar Piazza in Locarno The photos of the pizza are deceptive - in reality all pizzas are cheap standard pizza. Dough with tomato paste with some melted cheese and side dishes. E.g. Pizza Mascapone with rocket: 8 x teaspoon portions of Mascapone distributed with 12 x rocket leaves for CHF 20.00. 1 x Erdinger wheat beer CHF 8.00. In stores 6x 50cl CHF 12.50 Pizzas were served on cold plates within 5 minutes - COLD within a very short time!!! The location is in the middle of the piazza - sterile environment (banks, insurance companies, other shops) with neon light smog!!! Do you know the TV show “Attention rip-off... expose it!”, this would be worth a show!!!

Pizza wasn't a big hit. The location is nice and the service is nice. The prices are fair. But the food could be better.

Ristorante/pizzeria with outdoor area on the Piazza Grande in Locarno. Very nice service, quick service, good pizzas. The dessert in the form of Café Glacé and Coppa Piazza was also very good. Unfortunately, construction work on the piazza into the night spoiled the overall impression.

Kleines Café, direkt an der Talstation bzw. Piste in Laax gelegen. Der Kaffee schmeckt hier wirklich phantastisch. Weiterhin gibt auch Kleinigkeiten zu essen wie z. B. Pitas, Chiabattas, Suppen und auch lokale Spezialitäten.Es handelt sich beim Piazza übrigens um ein Selbstbedienungsrestaurant, was wohl noch nicht alle verstanden haben ;)

Vinimos por unas bebidas y bocadillos después de un intenso día de esquí.El servicio era amable, solo un poco lento. Además, no se tomaron platos sucios y se bloquearon varias mesas durante más de media hora sin ningún servicio. Dieses Café ist immer ein willkommener Ort für einen schnellen Snack, einen entspannten Kaffee mit einem Buch oder ein Frühstück mit der Familie. Das Dekor ist einladend mit vielen bequemen Stühlen und Sofas.

Kaffee, Gebäck und Pittas sehr gut. Personal wirkt etwas unmotiviert. Hygiene lässt zu wünschen übrig: der Boden im Piazza und draussen sind sowas von schrecklich ekelhaft. Da sollte man dringend mal mit dem Hochdruckreiniger drüber.

Eine gute Alternative zu den oft extrem teuren Skihütten ist das Cafedeli. Es ist zwar recht trubelig und oft voll, aber man wird mit hervorragendem Kaffee und leckeren Köstlichkeiten entschädigt. Das Preisniveau ist ok.

Prima tent voor een goede koffie (tip haal er een voor de eerste liften open gaan) of lekkere pizza. Heerlijk geluncht, de pizza's zijn aan te raden. Het gebak ziet er ook zeer aantrekkelijk uit maar die heb ik nog niet geproefd.
