I like to go there from time to time for dinner. Good food and good variety of dishes. The staff is attentive and friendly.

Everything OK. Impeccable and quick service.

The 'Swiss' is a certainty! Wine list by the glass, beer list, good to excellent pizza, always updated menu with the classics (Venetian-style liver and breaded brains). Honorable mention also for the fondue chinoise, with a palette of sauces and accompaniments and excellent quality meat. Staff always friendly and attentive... All this makes this restaurant a point of reference in Mendrisiotto. Oh yeah... the prices? Correct throughout the offer.

I stopped in for a quick lunch. The atmosphere was one of those particular ones that you remember pleasantly. They served me some pretty good rigatoni with cacio e pepe and a luganina with textbook fried potatoes. Tender, delicate, in short, excellent. Good. the house food. I would say excellent in everything. To return!

I went with friends to eat the Chinoise and Bourgignonne fondue. Excellent experience due to the quality meat (venison and beef), the numerous sauces and the well-made side dishes. Spectacular and very friendly staff who paid special attention to the child at our table. Inside the rooms are welcoming and decorated with the history of the place. The choice of wines is also excellent!

The house with garden is beautifully furnished and clean. We ate very well. The location itself is not special except that the Tipografia Helvetia in the Fondazione Miller is less than 200 meters away. The books of Tipografia Helvetica pay homage to the activity of the historic printing press founded in Capolago in the first half of the 19th century by Mazzini, Cattaneo, Dottesio and other Lombard exiles who were then on the run in Switzerland. The small community overlooking the Ceresio was thus the forge from which a fundamental intellectual contribution to the revolution of the Italian Risorgimento came.

Beautiful location. Easily accessible and multilingual reception possible. Very friendly staff, but that's where my positivity ends. Mobile broken air conditioner on windowsill with all kinds of cables and hoses. About 80 cm next to the bed. If that thing falls over (I think it weighs about 50 kg) I immediately lie stiff in bed. Literally and figuratively. That thing cannot be adjusted and produces around 65 Db I think. Right next to my ear. The room itself is old (read antique) and very worn all around. The floors/walls/doors full of dirty dust and stains (let's hope not human moisture) I use an oxygen concentrator myself, but the filter will have to be replaced early tomorrow I'm afraid. After a bad experience with booking directly (yes, also here in Switzerland), I will never book anywhere myself but via Booking or Trivago, but this hotel is -- BY STOP -- the most unpleasant hotel I have ever stayed in. Had breakfast now, and it was delicious. Once again great staff, and a rich buffet. Less suitable for me, partly due to my poor lung condition (I barely slept due to very strong detergent from the sheets that caused several coughing fits) but also for the price. I paid half for the double points let's just say. Different preference for me.

I only went to the restaurant and I must admit that I had a pleasant evening. The staff is friendly, funny with a quick joke. You eat very well and you pay the right price! Strategic location 50m from Capolago station. Compliments

This is the famous stone flower found in the Canton of Ticino, Italian Switzerland. It is a structure designed by the famous architect Botta, inside we can find a self-service, a bar and a restaurant as well as a small conference room. To get to this structure you can get there on foot or using the rack railway that leaves from Capolago.

I was there twice with a group of 35 people. Food, service and location is great. An address to recommend.

A shame. Booked at 10pm from their website with credit card guarantee and confirmation receipt. Arrival at 11pm. Hotel COMPLETELY CLOSED AND NO ONE ANSWERING THE PHONE OR RINGING THE BELL. DO NOT TRUST. Update: They replied that the staff stayed until 11.40pm Besides not being true, we are talking about a hotel, with a reservation made at 10pm guaranteed and accepted and I was there at 11pm with witnesses and a new hotel reservation at 11.40pm. As a restaurant they may be good (never tried) but don't go to sleep there, it's not a hotel, it's closed at night without staff, as they already say from the response they sent me.

We really had a great time. Perfect room, clean and large with TV and fridge. The wifi is free, in the restaurant area it has a full signal while in the room it is discreet, only 1 notch less than in the restaurant so ok. The restaurant offers a lot of choice and the breakfast was really good, sweet and savory, hot and cold drinks, everything plentiful and everything was served at the table. A cuddle ❤️ thank you. We ate well and were welcomed with great kindness and professionalism. The parking is public for a fee, but with the coupon they give at the hotel, you don't pay anything. The car park doesn't have many spaces, but we found it easily perhaps thanks to the low season and midweek. The prices are perfectly in line with the area, so ok.

Not what I’ve expected! We’ve stayed there for one night and had dinner. The food was (for the price we’ve paid) not good. Pizza was too salty, spareribs was plain and not much. Only the sea food pasta was ok. We’ve got a drink which was outdated. I don’t want to rule out that my son had a bad stomach. The only thing we receive was a new drink, no apology or gesture in form of a free drink. Then the room: it was very outdated. It was clean but everything should have been replaced. We had a mobile airco that had a tube outside the open window and making lots of noise. It was just too old and vibrating. I would recommend to search for something else.

Really lovely hotel, very clean and good breakfast. Close to the lake with nice restaurants nearby and very close to the lake. A 15 minute train ride to Lugano and the Ticino ticket is very useful to get around Ticino!

COMPLAINT TO THE SPECT. ATTENTION OF THE MANAGEMENT ❗ (that Friday evening the owner WAS NOT present...) I was recently accompanied to this restaurant, where I usually come alone (for serious family reasons) or with friends, where I am always served in an excellent manner by your usual waiters, who in addition to advice and table service, have always been exquisitely polite! Unlike the usual filet, I asked for a Friarielli pizza, a typical "Neapolitan vegetable" with leaves similar to spinach. I would like to point out that the waiter who served our table that evening is Neapolitan. He served me with all haste and arrogance. To my question about what he had put on my plate, he insisted with such cheek that it was the vegetable I ordered! Yet it's the typical vegetable they have in their area ❤️!?! Complained and contested. He came to his support... perhaps the person in charge!! In the end, it turned out that they were: TURNIP TOPS! Furthermore, let's not talk about the pizza chef or rather, that rather disrespectful character who directed me with this chatter: "Next time go to another Pizzeria"! He was silenced by the Superior! But that's not all: I'll return to the discussion indirectly for a moment.... Apart from the poor service of the waiter, and the collision between the same and another waiter carrying 3 or 4 glasses full of beer, which due to inattention fell thunderously into the tables between the tables. the ground broke, splashing everywhere.. and what a stink....! Very clean rooms, but they are a bit old. We only had a very small tilting window in the room. The trains and freight trains run all day and night and can also be heard in the room. The food in the restaurant is good, but we felt like we didn't live up to the staff's expectations because we didn't order wine or dessert. The breakfast was okay, but not a large selection.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und das Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Leider sind die Badezimmer eher eng und die Benutzung des Badezimmers für etwas breiter gebaute Personen erschwert. Ich bin mir sicher, dass in diesem Fall aber ein anderes Zimmer zur verfügung gestellt worden wäre. Wir genossen am Abend ein a la carte Menü. Der Kellner hat uns in deutsch sehr zuvorkommend bedient und wir fühlten uns wohl Die nahe Lage zum Monte Generoso ist ein klarer Vorteil des Hotels. Sehr zu empfehlen für Wabdervögel mit kleinerem Budget.

Excellent location for hikes to Mont Generoso, Mont Giorgio or to visit the picturesque village. very warm and friendly staff but the rooms are very basic. I am not so fond of the carpets in the rooms but acceptable for overnight stays. I appreciated the very warm shower after my hikes, and their restaurant.

Incontestablement, l'endroit ne paie pas trop de mine mais il faut s'y arrêter et le découvrir car il vaut le détour.Grandes salles avec des fresques un peu surannées, grande terrasses... On est entre la cantine et les samedis de mariage. Pas de décorum ni de romantisme.En entrant ici on sait que l'on ne nous racontera pas d'histoire mais toute une atmosphère laisse deviner que l'on mangera bien. C'est dans l'air, dans cette ambiance un peu familiale et sans tralala.La cuisine italienne est excellente. L'osso bucco est moelleux bien sûr, fondant et savoureux. Le risotto délicieux. Les scalietellia sont à tomber. Seules les pizzas ne semblent pas vraiment dans les standards avec une pâte trop molle.On est bien servi par un personnel courtois et accueillant.Si vous êtes sans chichi ni a priori, alors arrêtez-vous!
