Nice, simple but welcoming setting

VERY disappointing "almost" moitié-moitié fondue - the first bad fondue in all of over 45 years visiting the Tivoli. We had to send it back: quite watery, too salty, not tasting like a traditional fondue. It was returned a bit better but probably with a lot of added Maizena. The waiter excused the staff but not even a coffee was offered. Will no longer go there as there are excellent alternatives down the road in the town.

We went there for the classic family fondue. Nothing to say. Easy parking. Fast and efficient service. Quality of the fondue with service in appropriate uniform. The possibility of having 1/2 desserts (gruyere meringue cream) is great if you are already full!

As for our experience, we stood out for being extremely polite to you and your staff, despite your unscrupulous inclinations. It seems necessary to point out that our faithful canine companions were kept on a leash. As for pretending that they were welcome in your establishment, it was enough to contemplate your dismayed expressions as well as those of your team to understand that our presence bothered you. Allow me to share a quote found on the web: "They say that all dogs need is speech, I know some people who need a muzzle." But there is no need to generalize, of course!

Excellent restaurant! Cuisine: the fondue and dried meat were excellent. The portions were generous in my opinion. The desserts are also good. Staff: warm welcome. Friendly staff. We arrived at 9:20 p.m. and the kitchen agreed to prepare food for us even though they closed at 9:30 p.m. Setting/atmosphere: Swiss decoration, clean restaurant. Good atmosphere in the restaurant. Location: restaurant in the city center. Free parking in the evening right in front of the restaurant. I didn't need to reserve a table for two. Price: 87.- frs for a fondue for two, two drinks, 1/2 plate of dried meat and a dessert. Correct price-quality.

Eating here is a real treat; the Fondue is out of this world. Start with Moitie Moitie if you are not a Fondue pro; then head to the Vacherin; a dream! Book a table ahead, if you can.

Hello, used to this place for almost 40 years to the pure Vacherin fondue, but this time with a probably unusual recipe (perhaps a third), a liquid and lumpy consistency despite the return to the kitchen it came back to us as part.. Certainly pure Vacherin is not hot, but here it was too hot and separated.. The cheese didn't even stick to the potatoes. Next time I will return the fondue as soon as it arrives if it does not suit me. Consoled by the desserts and the double cream, I will come back, but with a wary eye!

I agree with several comments, the welcome lacked a little human warmth, but the establishment was crowded so surely not the most important detail in the middle of a rush, however the fondue was not the best, and that is the second time this happened to us...separated in 2 minutes, completely cold, lumpy...it wasn't that bad, but a bit of a shame. But the setting was nice, the decorations really pretty!

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANIMAL FRIENDS OR PEOPLE LOOKING FOR HUMAN WARMTH! After a detestable telephone reception, we were unkindly parked at a table. Our medium-sized dog was placed under the table, while our 2 kg dog was placed, in his basket, on the window seat at chair height. The boss “ordered” us to also put the little dog under the table. Even among the biggest starred restaurants, we have never had to endure such ineptitude. We left the establishment with an empty stomach, but with the pleasure of having been able to express our feelings and the certainty of never setting foot there again!

Definitely one of the best restaurants in French-speaking Switzerland to eat fondue. Their fondue is one of the creamiest I have ever tasted, so kudos to the chef! HOWEVER, the staff really need to be more polite to their customers and treat them with respect. Without this rude attitude, my review would have been a five-star.

If you want to eat a cold fondue because it's impossible to increase the flame without the waiter coming to lower the flame, all you have to do is pay for a fondue at 131 frs per kilo while the liter of milk and paid 0.70 cents to the farmers, a shame and I don't I won't even talk about taking a tea which is completely absurd

We stayed in the hotel because we were there on Monday. Basically a nice hotel with small deficiencies. The dining room is very clock-like and the wood paneling with the carvings is really eye-catching and the tables are beautifully rustic, which I personally really liked. You go to the rooms on the 3rd floor via a beautiful old staircase which has its charm. The rooms themselves are small and cozy with a toilet, shower and washbasin completely sufficient. One point deducted for me is that the mattresses are too soft. Plus point you can smoke on the balcony (facing the street) 😂. Unfortunately for me personally the biggest drawback is that breakfast wasn't outstanding, there was sliced ​​briosch bread which wasn't so fluffy anymore, a plate with 2 slices of ham and 4 strips of mountain cheese. (The taste of the ham and cheese was really great) and a plate with butter and 3 types of jam. Unfortunately, seconds were only available upon request because it was a bit small for two full-grown men. Drinking selection was also limited to coffee and orange juice. I'll say that as a fitter, I've already stayed in a few hotels and the price/performance ratio was always right. But overall it was ok.

I eat around 30 fondue per year, yes I'm addict. This one is my No1! It's not 50/50, it's 30/70 gruyère/vacherin with 6 different cheese in it.. I still dream about it

We eat very well there and I come there often. But it’s getting louder and louder. People are yelling instead of just talking. So not a place if you want to eat somewhere quiet, I noted between 73 and 78 db, average 74.3. I recommend this restaurant, the decor, the service, the fondue. Just the noise but that....

True to its reputation. One of the best Gruyère-Vacherin cheese fondues (1/3 - 2/3) in the canton. Smooth, tasty and well served (300 gr.) with bread and potatoes. The café room is decorated with tables and walls in carved and inlaid wood which puts us in a beautiful, friendly atmosphere. Excellent moments concluded with a double cream meringue, of course.😋
