Rosaly's in Zürich

Visiting the restaurant was a thoroughly nice experience. From the warm welcome and friendly and professional service, to excellent food and wines (do try local Swiss white and red wines). Cordon Bleu was absolutely fantastic.

The service is very good, the atmosphere too, there are several tables to sit at but they are not enough for all the people who normally go at night (as expected). The food was a little spicy for my taste, but it was still good.

We had two relatively simple meals but they were well done. There were more than enough servers some of which are more attentive than others. Prices are very high and the restaurant was crowded. The culinary low point was the bread that was served. It looked and tasted like it was from a local super market. To be frank for the price they ask I would expect more.

Bad. Raw lamb meat. They cooked it upon request. Dishes without any garnish, the meat just there alone on the plate. (lamb chops and Schnitzel) Friendly, yes... Not worth it.

Absolute “secret” tip! Very tasty restaurant with a great ambience in an easily accessible location right on the lake. The food is fantastic and an absolute culinary delight. Again any time!

The service was on point: receptive, kind, and client-oriented. Regarding the food, we were disappointed. As a semi-gastronomic restaurant, we had anticipated better, more refined gourmet fare. I selected the cordon bleu, which did not suit my taste, being too fatty and cheesy. My mother opted for the Kalbsleberli, the award-winning dish at Rosaly's, which was overly rich, cooked in an excess of butter, and the pieces were quite fatty. The accompaniment, the rosti, unfortunately lacked flavor and was not crunchy. On a positive note, the dessert was delicious. We chose the chocolate Rosalys cake. Although the restaurant is charming and the service excellent, the meals could be more sophisticated and better aligned with the Gault Millau title.

The best restaurant in Zurich. Beautiful ambience, whether as a couple or with a group, excellent food, great selection of wine and always good non-alcoholic drinks. Very friendly staff and top service.

Definitely one of the better fine dining restaurants in Zurich. Very good location, the layout coupled with the ambience was exceptional. The food was of very high standard and everything you'd expect at this price point - some of the dishes, such as the oxtail ravioli and "honigmilch" did put on display the creative prowess of the chef but apart from that, there was nothing else blow-your-mind spectacular, but enough to go on a must visit list in Zurich, nonetheless.

This is a nice restaurant that re-visits some classics from traditional cuisine (not just from Switzerland but also France and some other countries). While some of the concepts are nice deconstructions of classics such as the club sandwich (see picture), the prices are outrageously high (even for Zürich standards!). Overall, it was a nice night out, but I am not sure we will come back.

we had one of our best meals while traveling around Switzerland at Rosaly's. We ate in the wine cellar downstairs and had an assortment off the menu, including meat, fish, apps, dessert, and a beautiful bottle of affordably priced wine. Everything we ordered was a 10 out of 10! Our waiter Tibor made the meal extra special as did Chef Jeffrey who stopped in to say hello. If you're looking for a quality meal, well worth the price with top quality ingredients and an exceptional wine selection, I highly recommend this restaurant! We will definitely go back!

The menu is manageable. Quality of the dishes is very good. The prices of the city of Zurich accordingly. Service very attentive and friendly. I found the atmosphere cozy and stylish.

I was visiting a friend who was going through a long health crisis. We hadn't seen each other in over four years. Now he's doing great and we wanted to celebrate our reunion. Of course we had a lot to talk about, which the waitress noticed when it took us over half an hour to look at the menu. She respected that with a friendly smile. Thank you! The half Verdejo (very fine) was almost not enough to order... The restaurant was practically full, but there was no rush, everything was quiet and accommodating. We had Leberli and Zürigschnätzletz with Röschti. Everything was perfect, only my shredded meat was a little cooked (hence four*). It was served in a Pfännli on the rechaud, which I really appreciated as we ate very slowly. Too much to tell! Of course we were the last ones, we even stayed an hour past opening time, and were still served and left in peace. We really appreciated this gesture. The farewell was warm and friendly. For me, Rosalys is one of the few constants in Zurich gastronomy. Also at a high level in all respects. You'll see me again! Thank you very much and see you soon.

It used to be much better. Today you are put in the back room even if you have a reservation. Then only us and one other table were occupied and there were x free tables at the front. It's a shame, it was really a gem...

The food is very good and so is the wine list. By Zurich standards, the staff is extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Really good! The pricing is at the upper end, i.e. too expensive.

What a shame, what a shame.... I had to delete my 5 star review from 5 years ago and make a new one now.... :( The Rosalys was always "my place to go" I was always happy with the service and everything about it but after Corona the Rosalys changed a lot which I heard from many and now I was able to experience it myself on the phone :( When I called and wanted to reserve for 9p or maybe 10p, I was told that that wasn't possible because from 10p there was a "menu" with a minimum consumption. 9p works but 10 doesn't work?! When I spoke to the manager it only got worse. I've always noticed how absolutely NO ONE there is interested in their job and all the employees have an I-don't-care attitude and walk around with a fake smile. In any case, the manager then told me that it was what it was, he even said “Take it or Leave it”!! Sorry, but that's not the way to behave with paying customers, isn't that how you serve?! We are all ex-military and would have left a huge amount of money at Rosalys because we wanted a double seating from 6 p.m. to open-end and that was denied, so we would have had to book the wine cellar for a double seating with a minimum consumption from 1,800.- / had my reservation been accepted as I would have liked, we would have spent much more than 1,800 Fr.- just a shame. Then the manager said he didn't have time to talk to me on the phone! hahah sorry that you don't have to accept reservations from wealthy customers! The menu is a bit small and even tiny for vegetarians. The vegetarian menu “Tortelloni” also came as ravioli, but that didn’t bother me. It's a bit of a shame that the menu is generally a bit meat-heavy. And does it always have to be veal? As always, the rather small dining room is quite full, but I still like it. I found 29.- a bit expensive for about 7 ravioli and soup, it's Zurich Bellevue... Service was quick and friendly, I'll be back.

A lot was right here, starting with the very friendly and attentive service by Jeffrey, the cocktails, the food, the location, the advance reservation, etc. The rooms are not large, but inviting and cozy. However, over time it can get a bit warm and stuffy. The club sandwich with beef fillet was brilliant, the portions were rather large, the fried salad was unusual but very tasty. We paid around 75 francs per person for a 3-course meal. Recommended.

The Züri Geschnetzeltes at Rosaly’s cannot be beaten. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. For me one of the best restaurants in Zurich.

There is no other dish that I don't crave at least every few months like the Club Sandwich from Rosaly's ❤️ you just can't praise it enough. In addition, it is always served by more than attentive service. Definitely try it!

We came here without any expectations but they are really great!!! Prices are very very fair for Zürich. Service is super friendly, food and quality is great. If you come here you need to get the cordon blue. We didn’t get a table outside at the beginning (we didn’t reserve) but they went out of their way to make us feel good inside. Afterwards, the manager asked us if we wanted to eat our dessert outside as one table was available for us. For me this restaurant deserves the merits. Keep up the good work and we are coming back.

Super delicious club sandwhich! The beef just melted in our mouth. The veal was super tender. The rosti was not as crispy as I would have hoped for and the risotta was delicious and fresh but a tad too heavy and a bit too salty.

No noticeable hospitality. The schnitzel is huge, which is great, but the portions of the meat and sauce dishes are tiny, as are the side dishes. A disgrace given the prices. Forgotten the announced birthday, complete disaster when reserving for several people. The food is generally good, but the overall package leaves a lot to be desired. There are better places.

One of the best restaurants in Switzerland. Rosalys is a little hidden behind Zurich's Bellevue in a historic building. Run by the Rosenberger brothers who, as passionate restaurateurs, offer their guests a perfect culinary backdrop. The good home-style food is of a very high standard. The wine prices for the city of Zurich are very fair. As an insider tip: the wine cellar can be booked exclusively for groups for dinner.

I had a great evening at Rosaly's. The service was great! The mood was good and the most important point is that I ate the "best" Zurich Geschnetzeltes that evening. Fabio and his team cooked really well.

Visited by Les Habitués Finally a restaurant that reinvents traditional dish. Even the veal tartar felt creative and different to all the ones I had in town. Selection of wines was decent and presented on an Ipad. Service was smiling, available to questions. We had a beautiful evening. We will come back!

Traditional Swiss restaurant with delicious and elegant dishes. Staff is very friendly, only critique is the service was a little slow. But the food is very fresh to say and would definitely recommend.

The Rosalys Restaurant is an absolute insider tip for gourmets. Chef Fabio Lombardi is a master at transforming fresh ingredients into creative and delicious dishes. Particularly noteworthy is his passion, which is reflected in every bite. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating and contributes to a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, a special experience for all the senses. I can highly recommend Rosalys Restaurant.

A really busy restaurant in Bellevue. The staff are plenty, the meals are delicious, and not least important point: properly behaved clientele. I had the club sandwich (definitely recommended!) and “award winning” kalbsleberli (unfortunately the smell is there, not my favorite). I will definitely come back to try their Züri Geschnetzeltes!

Rosaly's has become an integral part of the map of good taste. Been here several times and now also for the New Year's Eve menu. The food is delicious and the plates are beautifully presented, worth a visit!
