Excellent location on Lake Zurich. The undercooked rack of lamb is extremely tender and the service is exceptional. Be sure to reserve!

Beautiful location right on the lake. Absolutely fantastic for smaller, more intimate weddings. The in-house jetty also invites you to take beautiful pictures of the bride and groom.

We were there twice. Each time we were told that everything was full even though only 2 tables were occupied. After discussions we were allowed to sit down and even after half an hour the restaurant didn't fill up. The waiter was extremely rude and condescending. The location is fantastic, but unfortunately the rest is not right!

We had Christmas menu with meat for 95 fr 😤😱🥲………That was a real disappointment! The food was neutral in taste, neutral like Switzerland. How can you cook so unimaginatively without inspiration, oh my god. The service was very good. Until they find another chef I wouldn't recommend the restaurant to anyone!!!!!!

I'm a little difficult when it comes to eating, but the service gave us excellent advice and put together an individual game menu. The venison slices were very tender and aromatic. The service was very attentive and prepared, so that we were able to enjoy a thoroughly enjoyable evening in a very nice location.

Good cuisine at the right price in a relaxing lakeside location that could hardly be more beautiful

We ate ice cream on the terrace. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. However, the whole appearance of the outside area was a bit untidy. Although there were only a few guests, the dirty dishes were on the tables, the chairs were all over the place and the table setting next to us was littered with the remains of the trees. The toilets were clean, but there were used paper towels on the floor and next to the sink by the sink. If you take a little longer to use the toilet, you are suddenly sitting in the dark and the light only comes on again when you leave the cubicle. For a more upscale restaurant, the whole thing could be a bit more well-kept.

Me and my husband stayed in this hotel for the first time at Easter in 2022, in this magical place! I immediately fell in love with this place! Since then we have been guests there often! It is quietly located in a cul-de-sac, opposite the hotel is the Rössli restaurant, where you can eat very, very well and deliciously. The chef is truly world class! There are great waiters working in the restaurant who are super professional and very personable! You immediately feel very comfortable and would like to stay there forever! The hotel boss, Ms. Weinmann, is a very friendly and great woman who works very professionally, always with a smile on her face and realizing all of the guest's wishes. The hotel is fantastic! The balconies have a view of the beautiful lake and the surrounding beautiful hills! Simply a dream view! Next to the hotel there is a beautiful, fairytale-like little chapel. The restaurant and chapel are located directly on the water of Lake Zurich. The restaurant has a private, romantic dock. This year in September we got married in church with my husband in this beautiful chapel in Hurden and then celebrated in the Rössli restaurant. Ms. Weinmann allowed us to have a ship dock at the restaurant's private dock and pick us up for an excursion after the church wedding. That was simply a dream! Our entire wedding party also stayed overnight at the Hotel Rössli afterwards. On Sunday morning, as always, we all had a great, delicious breakfast. My husband and I and our guests loved this place and really enjoyed the great service from Ms. Weinmann and her staff during the celebration. Everything was simply world class in the Restaurant/Hotel Rössli! The food, the drinks, the service, the location! My husband and I bow deeply to Ms. Weinmann and her colleagues! Without the Rössli staff and the fantastic location, we would never have had our dream wedding! Many, many thanks to all of you for this unforgettable event that you gave us! We were able to get a nice spot in the garden without a reservation. Service and operation perfect. Portion size good. We have to test the taste of the evening menu in order to be able to give it 5*****. We'd love to come back

After a hard week, the idea was to have a nice meal right by the lake. After a cool welcome from our waiter, we wanted to enjoy an aperitif to start things off. After we asked whether there was a house aperitif, we received an extremely unfriendly answer like “I shouldn’t expect him to list them all.” One would have been enough for us, but whatever. When we asked how to go to the toilet and he explained it so incomprehensibly that he had to explain it twice, he reacted very annoyed! Last but not least, the bill showed 15 too much, the extra charge for a fried egg and bacon would have been 7.50 for 3 burgers and we were charged 22.50, which unfortunately I only noticed when I got home with my glasses. Unfortunately, we will definitely no longer consider this restaurant with a beautiful location! Good and friendly service is simply very important and this was completely missing that evening.

Just very briefly and succinctly: Hard to beat in terms of arrogance towards the guests

I stayed at the Hotel Rössli for two nights. I got a room on the top floor (sloping ceiling). It was unbearably hot there! That's why I couldn't sleep the whole night. So the next day I went to the reception and told them that it is NOT POSSIBLE to sleep there. The only statement "I'm sorry, we're fully booked." Unfortunately I had an important training session here, otherwise I would have left on the spot. If a customer says it is not possible to sleep in this room, then you should be able to offer them an alternative. Or at least air conditioning. In addition, the refrigerators in some rooms don't work or the toilet seat is broken. It's a shame, because the ambience itself would have been nice here, but unfortunately I couldn't enjoy it for a second.

Tasty food, nice service, beautiful location.

Unfortunately I was a guest at the Rossli restaurant today. I can only comment on the service as the food didn't come. We waited 35 minutes at lunchtime in a moderately busy restaurant without the order being taken, which is unacceptable for a restaurant with such good food. I hope that it's just the one waiter who isn't up to his job and ask the owner to have a conversation about motivation and customer orientation. The head of service apologized at the end, but unfortunately that doesn't change the fact.

The waitress was a bit annoyed because of the summer storm. The food (perch fillet) was top notch. The location and the views on the lake are priceless.

I would like to give the service negative stars. An extremely arrogant, unfriendly and slightly unkempt-looking gentleman initially left us standing, then took the liberty of asking what we wanted... When we asked if we could have a drink at one of the uncovered tables, he looked at us with slight consternation, looked us up and down (we weren't in slippers or anything like that) and then told us that he had a private party today... At the entrance there was a menu and guests were asked to wait until they were seated. Not a word about a closed society - the extraordinary unfriendliness and arrogance would have made us choose another restaurant even without the creative (😉) excuse. A real shame - unfortunately we will never know how good the food is as we CERTAINLY won't be returning. It's a shame that the gentleman is in a job that is absolutely unsuitable for him - but that's not his customers' fault.

Hurden is actually a small village. But there are at least two big restaurants: The Rössli is known far and wide. The garden is directly on the banks of the Obersee with a view to the east. There is a small church/chapel right next door.

A wonderful ambience. But that was it, the food was mediocre, I had chicken with pasta and vegetables. The vegetables were definitely not fresh but frozen. I like it when vegetables are still a little crunchy, but this one was hard. Pasta very fine, nice aldende and chicken ok. A green salad as a starter, which was far too small for CHF 10 and just too “normal”. Basically the portions were rather small for the price! Finally, a scoop of vanilla ice cream with cream... it sat around for a long time until it was on my table. The ice cream was already ⅔ liquid. The waiter was very funny and made an effort.

Three of us came here for lunch today and the food was a complete disaster from start to finish! The guests at the next table also complained about the food. We had caprese, a green salad and a beef tartare that was spicy, arrived like a can of dog food, wasn't seasoned and was about as far away from spicy or spicy as Switzerland is from Australia. The salad was completely limp, as if it had been in the sauce for an hour. Then came the main course, prawns with tomato risotto, whitefish Müllerinnen style and whitefish in batter. We actually wanted to eat perch, but there were no more, we were told. The shrimp and the fish were far from glassy, ​​the whitefish were fried on the flesh side instead of on the skin side and were also a bit flaky. Despite the fact that the waiter (Günter) brought a new one, it was still a total failure, the second time there were almond slivers, which had absolutely no place with Müllerinnen art! The chefs don't seem to have any training given what was served to us from the kitchen today. A total impudence! Even the waiter, despite being very courteous, couldn't save anything!

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The waiting times bothered me. It took about an hour before we received our starter. I didn't order an appetizer because I like to enjoy my food and don't want to feel "overeaten." They literally wanted to force an appetizer on me. The same applies to aperitifs and wines. It was announced several times that non-alcoholic wines were also available because everyone had to drive. When we didn't want dessert or coffee because it was getting cold and the waiting times were very long, we were asked several times if we really didn't want coffee. A no means a no to me. The waiters who served us didn't communicate with each other. We had to request the invoice twice. If I visit the restaurant again, it will be to enjoy the view.

Very nice location, very attentive and friendly service. Food: a total failure with 4 people and 3 different dishes. None of them are even remotely tasty, and they look bad too. And that at the price per dish. I'm happy to pay a lot, but then the food has to be good. No recommendation, except for a glass of wine, which was excellent.

Many thanks to the very friendly and committed Rössli service team. We really enjoyed it today: a fine asparagus soup, followed by asparagus hollandaise and a very delicate perch with risotto. Plus the Sauvignon Blanc from Schwarzenbach - a stunner! See you outdoors again soon in the summer :-).

Top hotel in a top location with a top restaurant

At around 2:45 p.m. we were brushed off even though we weren't even in the restaurant. from other guests that there would be nothing to drink, but that's not only worth it if you want to eat something. Really impossible.

We celebrated our wedding here this fall with 120 people. Ms. Weinmann organized everything perfectly - from the first meeting to the clearing up, we were completely satisfied. The staff was friendly and personable, the food and wine were great. There were alternatives for all our wishes. We will certainly celebrate many more events here in the future and look forward to the great service from Ms. Weinmann & her team!

A nice little hotel, nice clean rooms and very nice staff... but unfortunately terrible bedding. The mattress was deformed but above all the pillows are so thick that they are absolutely unusable. So everyone sleeps with the bedroom cushions, which aren't cleaned for me... it's not great. A hotel is made for sleeping... and it's been a long time since we slept so badly (plus it was very, very hot, the rooms were not air-conditioned). In short, we will not come back, and I regret it because at the time, the bedding was perfect.

The hotel and its restaurant are beautifully located. Our room was good and well maintained according to the price. Particularly noteworthy is the always very friendly and attentive service, both in the hotel and in the restaurant just a few steps away. There you can sit right by the water and eat in a very nice, stylish and yet casual atmosphere. The food was high quality and the prices were absolutely reasonable. I ate fish every day and, like the side dishes, it was always great - fresh, well prepared, beautifully presented! The breakfast buffet was also good. The selection may not have been as extensive as is sometimes the case in larger hotels, but it was completely sufficient for our needs and - above all - of excellent quality. I was there with my children (primary school age). The Rössli is clearly not one of those family hotels with a playground etc. for children, but we knew that beforehand. Nevertheless, attention was also paid to the little ones, for example by taking special requests for food into account or - without us having to ask - by putting something to color and a cup full of crayons on the table to pass the time while waiting for the food. And if you have the time and desire, you can jump into Lake Zurich just a few steps further to cool off a little, which was also a clear and nice plus point in the heat during our stay. Conclusion: We all had a very pleasant stay there, a very nice time and were certainly not the last time there!

We celebrated our wedding at the Rössli in August. We liked the location from the start. The view from the lake pavilion is fantastic. In the run-up to the wedding, Ms. Weinmann was always available to answer questions and made planning easier for us with valuable tips. The food was delicious, arrived on time and adapted to the schedule. The service was also great. Mr. Mylius and his team looked after us first-class during the festival. It was a great celebration for us.

Very nice restaurant with a direct garden terrace by the lake. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. Plus, they are always up for fun. The food is very good and the portions are very pleasant (you don't overeat, but you're full). The fish, whether crispy or whole, is recommended. The prices are reasonable for the good quality and regional ingredients.

Although we paid and booked via booking, we were forgotten. Not only was the apartment gone, we weren't even offered a double room for the same price. Unfortunately you declared the prices incorrectly on booking. Although the receptionist promised to send me a new booking confirmation via phone call yesterday, this promise was not kept either. This shows very bad organization. I don't recommend the house to anyone who doesn't want to be on the street spontaneously!!!

The service and food at this restaurant is first class. My husband and I enjoyed every moment from appetizer to dessert and the view is unbeatable. Not to mention that I have Celiac disease and cannot eat gluten. Our waiter knew what I could and couldn't eat and assured me I would be happy with my meal. Stop by for lunch or dinner (especially on a sunny, warm day) and you will not be disappointed.

Just lives from the location. Service one of the worst ever seen, no attitude and customer focus. Reception not staffed most pf the time, rooms no mini bar fridge but warm beer on the table, bath room no shampoo or body wash provided etc. Not recommended for this price. Breakfast also very poor assortment.

A wonderful place on Lake Zurich. Friendly service and the fresh perches from Lake Zurich were wonderful. Unfortunately, the jetty is always very dirty. If it were cleaned every morning, it would be easier to get there by boat.

Such a great location but unfortunately outdated rooms. Food was good, unfortunately no real vegan menus. A real shame.

On the occasion of our wedding anniversary, we enjoyed a romantic evening walk from Pfäffikon on Wednesday. The weather was beautiful and we planned to enjoy an aperitif in the Rössli before we walked the second part to Rappi. The location and the outdoor restaurant looked gorgeous and was almost empty. Perfect, we thought - but we were rudely turned away right at the entrance. They only receive guests who have food. Although almost all tables were free, it was not even possible to have a drink for even just 10 minutes, regardless of which table. We have never been rejected so abruptly and without further explanation and without an alternative.

Walk from Rappi train station to Hurden over the wooden footbridge and then stop off at Rössli, in a prime location right on the lake, with good food and friendly service, a wonderful experience.

The perches were baked perfectly, the rest of the meal, starter, side dishes, main course, dessert was forgettable. Asparagus season? Apparently they don't know the Rössli. Before Corona everything was perfect, after Corona only the Egli and the charming service. Unfortunately no more hotspot.

I've been to the good cuisine a few times now, thanks to the nice waitress with the long black hair, always very nice and good service, but that's not possible if the waiter is a gentleman, I don't know his name, he'd let himself go here I'm thinking about letting someone like that work, it's not going to go down well with guests. It's a shame

3/23/22 nice hike on Lake Zurich with my son in wonderful weather. 11:45 spontaneous call to Rössli Hurden, my company has already consumed here for x-1000.-, the location is TOP. Ms. W. at reception probably knew my name or cell phone number. She said everything was empty and reservations weren't necessary at such short notice. Arrived 7 minutes later, only one guest present. A gentleman met us and checked us in. He immediately said, no, no, everything is fully booked, strange. I took a step back and called Mrs. W. again, but immediately hung up. I don't want to eat anything in a place like that, never again, and it's forbidden for all my employees. So we went back to Rappi. After 7 minutes, a call back from Ms. W. regarding the number on your display. Reservation no problem, as I said, everything is empty. I hope Mr. Mylius was not supported by our tax money during the Corona period!

The food was excellent. The menu change was accepted and a different vegetable side dish was suggested. My teacup was apparently refilled at the coffee machine and a ring was visible on the saucer, and my husband also had coffee traces on his coffee saucer. The surface of the machine should be wiped down. We'd love to come back. Best regards

The food is excellent and highly recommended. The waiter was very attentive and an asset in his special way. The wine recommendation was also excellent. Food was very average but at typical prices for the area - expensive. I had the mushroom ravioli and it was a brown lump in a brown soup. It was edible because I was hungry. Staff were efficient but not at all friendly. I wouldn't go again.

The hotel was fantastic. The food was good and the station is decently close by. The only downside is that when you stay in the apartments there is close to no wifi.

A bit on the pricy side, this Restaurant is located at an extraordinary place. Lovely view on the lake straight from the table - just always make sure you get one at the windows. The service was excellent, very welcoming and excellently trained staff. The meal was delicious, everything prepared to perfection. The day I was there, they dod not have any trout, so that was a little letdown - probably better ask on the phone first, if you go there for trout. But other than that, definitely worth a visit.
