I've been using this hotel for years now for trips back to Wil, both on private occasions and for business (I grew up around Wil and work for a Swiss company, but live in the EU). Everything about this hotel is perfect. Check in is fast and easy. The breakfast is continental "only", but with a great selection. The rooms are very spacious and well laid out. Quite often hotel rooms have a "desk" where you have trouble putting a laptop on, never mind your arms, but here the desk/side table is deep enough for any work and wide enough for three people to comfortably sit at. Beds are wide enough and very comfortable, and so are the pillows and duvets. Beds are double beds with separate duvets. Great shower, great bathroom, spacious balcony with huge double doors (so if you're like me and hotel rooms are generally too hot for you, cooling the room down is easy). In all the years I've been using the hotel there was one issue, where the shower wasn't working (only a dribble coming out). I only noticed this early in the morning and I had a busy day in front of me, so I just fired off a quick email straight away. The email got acknowledged during the day and when I came back to the room at night the issue was fixed. Only caveat: Church nearby, church bells can be disruptive to your sleep if you're not used to it.

We spent a night in this hotel. We liked the principle of autonomy of checking and check-out. The room was clean. On the other hand, the rooms are poorly soundproofed; we did not appreciate being woken up at 6 a.m. by the church bells ringing for 5 minutes. We came with a baby and he couldn't go back to sleep after all the noise. I do not recommend bringing a young child to this hotel. To be able to stand up in the bathtub you have to be less than 1m65 tall, which is really restrictive (attic room). Another negative point: there is no ovomaltime or equivalent at breakfast, so no hot chocolate, which is a shame. Room price too high for the services offered.

Very clean room with self check-in which is easy to do. There is no staff available but if you have any problems you can always reach someone by phone. The location is actually very quiet and you won't be disturbed. The breakfast was very fresh and tasty with a lot of variety. WiFi is free and worked without any problems. I would check in here again next time.
