Great pizza, very amusing service

Enjoyed a delicious pizza and soup despite the rain. Hope to come back with better weather because it’s a perfect location on the lake. Great service!

Normal pizzeria located in a strategic place at lakeside. Food is acceptable, pizza was good but there were a couple of caveats: a) some ingredients (olives and cheese) weren't of needed quality; b) it was repeating on us for one hour. At San Marco, seafood is good (while quite expensive). BTW, under any circumstances try to order tap water as they charge 5 CHF for it... Ugly behaviour. That's why the 2 stars to the restaurant. Our waiter was good, however, he had to warn about the water trap. That's why we give him 2 stars rather than 4. Nice view to the mountains and the lake. Not easy access to wheel chairs.

Personally, the best place in town for me to be. I haven't eaten a better pizza in Switzerland so far. I haven't met or had a better service in Switzerland as in this place. Makes you feel at home. Staff is just exceptional.

Very pleasant experience, so much so that my fiancé and I went back more than once. The service is exceptional, especially from a waiter who I believe is called Richard. Very friendly, helpful, polite! It definitely made the experience much more pleasant. The food is very delicious. We ate the pizza, an ice cream dessert and also the pasta with meat strips.

Wonderful location and very friendly staff

Bruschetta was a bit bland. Bland bread with even blander tomatoes, no oil. Lasagna was ok. Crema Catalana came cold, almost frozen. Waiter careless, always had to be called if you wanted something.

A very nice place close to the lake and exotic birds. Food very good, pizza was quite good and not that expensive. Served by a very nice older gentleman, great atmosphere.

Don't order the expensive antipasti plate (à la Chef or something like that). There are a few cheap slices of salami, 5 olives, a piece of burrata and an artichoke. The so-called bruscetta is just a loveless piece of white bread with spoiled diced tomatoes, all ice cold because it has probably been in the fridge for ages. Had to return the tomato bruscetta and instead of an apology they said “it’s just not tomato season”. Please remove it from the menu - it's better than serving it spoiled. But then there was fresh, fine forcaccia on the house, unfortunately not until very late. There is a lack of attention to detail and real bruscetta is on crusty rolls with a little fine olive oil and possibly garlic - which is to be expected in an Italian restaurant - at a minimum.

Food and service was excellent. We were warmly welcomed and served quickly. There was a pleasant atmosphere and everyone said goodbye lovingly. It's worth stopping by for real Italian food.

We had the pleasure of visiting Pizzeria San Marco today and it was a real highlight. The dough of the Pizza Diavola was perfectly crispy and airy at the same time. The staff was extremely accommodating and the atmosphere invited you to linger with Italian sounds and a cozy interior. Despite the high quality, the price-performance ratio was more than reasonable. This pizzeria is a must for any pizza lover and we will definitely be back.

We also spontaneously got a table for dinner yesterday, even though it was Saturday evening. The food tasted good and the service staff was very accommodating/friendly.

Brought the wrong food 3 times... Service would rather talk stupidly than listen.. It's cold in the basement. If you ask if the door is closed you will be told no... And there is sheep's cheese almost EVERYWHERE...

We often have dinner at San Marco. The restaurant is right on Lake Zug and you have a great view. The staff is very friendly, but sometimes you have to wait longer for a response (if the restaurant is full). The food tastes very good from the starter to the dessert. We recommend the pizzas, as well as the beef tartare at San Marco.

Superb discovery during our stay in Zug! The pizzas and the black shrimp risotto were a pure delight! It’s nice to see fresh mushrooms on a pizza! We really enjoyed this time and we will definitely return! I gave 3 stars for the service because we didn't like the food we were served but compared to the food, it's not particularly important...

The location right on the lake is perfect, but unfortunately I have to say that the food is too salty. Every time I go to an Italian restaurant I always order carbonara, but what I had here was the first time I had a salty carbonara. And my husband's food tastes like vinegar 😩. It was the first time that I also packed my takeaway food. 😂😂

Unique garden terrace with a view of the lake. Highly recommended when the sun is shining. Authentic and nice service. You feel like you're in Italy. Absolutely ok in terms of price for train 👌

I have had the worse service. We booked a table for our parent visits. They did not accommodate to us, they said they had forgotten to book. Could not find a solution and ignored us. Every visits the customer service been bad considering we live here in old town and been treated so bad. They only care about transactions and not their local clients. Never again.

Horrible service overall. They don’t care about repeat customers. I ate there 3/4 times and each time they make you feel like you’re an additional pain, an added burden to their day. They have an amazing location so I cannot wait for the next owner who is going to show more ownership and customer care.

Very good food and restaurant with a nice atmosphere However, in addition to the long waits for the dishes, they had a problem with the paper machine (neither mine nor my boyfriend's was working) They sent us to withdraw from an ATM and they kept the credit card when we returned with the money I asked the waiter where my card was and he replied "on the table" They left my credit card unattended on the table with a full house

Italian restaurant in an excellent location overlooking the lake with an outdoor terrace. They serve Italian-inspired dishes including pasta, pizza and some main courses. I tried a pasta dish which was slightly overcooked but well seasoned. The pizza has a very simple dough and the toppings are not top quality. The tablecloth had several holes but the service was normal. The prices are a little high in my opinion for the quality offered.

Pizza Buffalo, eggplant and risotto with a beer. It couldn't be better!

We tried twice in the same week to come to this restaurant to eat there without success; Without reservation it is a priori impossible to eat there. The welcome was so unpleasant and bordering on dishonest that I would not venture to return there again.

I rarely write that, but in this case, definitely NEVER AGAIN! A waiter incredibly arrogant, without a friendly word. Another loud, intrusive and supposedly funny. We had an aperitif. Then, before our actual dishes, we suddenly received a “greeting from the kitchen”. We were surprised and happy about it. We actually wanted to stay longer and order more drinks. After 30 minutes of waiting, we decided to pay... The bill came - including this so-called "greeting"! We pointed out to the waiter that we hadn't ordered it and thought it was just a greeting from the kitchen. He just shrugged his shoulders and said “Well, you ate it” and grinned smugly. Even IF, they would have at least ASKED us whether we would like to have this “greeting” and, above all, whether we would like to pay! We told him that too. But “I didn’t want to start a discussion with you now” was apparently answer enough for him. Thanks for nothing!

Beautiful location on the lake. Pleasant atmosphere and good service. Pizza neither Neapolitan nor Roman, definitely more Swiss than Italian, indefinable and very improvable. The other first courses are better

So wait at least 5 minutes until you get a table. The lady at reception is anything but friendly and she didn't feel like working either. Pizza really wasn't good. Cheese was like bubble gum. And at the end I was allowed to order the bill 4 times. I wouldn't go there again.

One star because: Since no online reservation is possible, I tried to call (many times) for 2 days. The phone wasn't picked up. In the end everything was busy and the lady on the phone said nothing except “I would have to ask my colleague”. You are welcome to check how many times I have tried to reach you by phone.

Unfriendly and arrogant service. We were brought a greeting from the kitchen that we had not ordered. Nevertheless, we were forced to pay for it at an overpriced price in the end. We will never go there again. Absolutely NOT recommended.

Slightly long wait to order. Very average pizza (it looked more like cheese than mozzarella on the margherita). Spontaneous visit with a great view, very friendly staff and good food at fair prices

The place has a formidable view, overlooking the lake in the summer is really a a charm . The food is correct nothing extraordinary , but with good portions . The service depends on the day how you feel. If the Lord is there, he speaks Spanish and is tremendously friendly, together with the only woman who works in the place, you can feel at home. But if you have bad luck that the Italian underboss attends you ufff you will not want to come back again because he is very impolite especially with families with children. So it depends who attends you how is the perception of the service which is a shame because the place is located in a very beautiful part of Zug.

That person. He simply told us that he didn't have a table. It's not the first time I've gone to that restaurant. I usually go every time I receive friends here in Zug. This man has made me never go back there again. Please look at the photos of how many tables were empty. And at 12:30 am he simply said we DO NOT have a table. There was a very very nice girl, I would give her five stars. This unfriendly person has made my experience of this place disappointing! I don't know who he thinks he is. But he was wrong that's how you NEVER treat a client. I will never recommend it again. And I really DO NOT recommend it. This person was unfriendly and rude. Look for any restaurant that wants to receive its customers. This simply scores zero in customer service.

Nice place, beautiful view, can sit immediately next to the lake. Steak was ok, not too much, and goncchi was also good. We only wanted to eat a little lunch and enjoy the view during our trip in Zug.

The food is great and the service is also very friendly and open-minded. Since the restaurant is right on the lake, a reservation is usually required. But even with a walk-in, you can often get a spot if you don't arrive when there's the biggest crowd. The ambience inside the restaurant is nothing special, but the lake view and the location make up for it.

Very, very good pizza from the dough and the toppings, the taste is simply brilliant. Super fine Pizzaiolo from Italy👍 the salad was also good as a side dish and great service very friendly. We also liked the tiramisu dessert, we would love to come back and are already looking forward to sitting on the terrace with a view of the lake in the summer.

Nice restaurant right on the lake, in summer it is certainly even nicer with the terrace facing the lake. Good service, the food came relatively quickly even though the restaurant was full. The pizza was really delicious!

It's a great place in Zug for good Italian food. I have been there several times and always enjoyed the food and the service. Once we came with the stroller and realised that it is not a very stroller friendly space. Since then, we found a solution to simply order takeaway (pizza) and eat by the lake. If you're in Zug and like Italian food, do give it a try!

The spectacular lasagna. The octopus salad is super small, they put it inside a Scallop Shell, so you can get the idea of ​​how small it is. Cesar is one of the waiters who served us and he is a charming person.
