Most expensive take away I've ever experienced in Switzerland... Quality verse cost very poor.... Won't go back....

Our visit to the Santa Verena Restaurant was characterized by a selection of two pizzas. The ambience of the restaurant had a rustic character that definitely had its charm. The service was okay, although the staff seemed a bit unfriendly to us. In terms of taste, the pizzas were quite tasty, but we found the prices to be a bit too high for what was on offer. Overall, we would give the Santa Verena Restaurant a solid 4 stars. While the quality of the food was impressive, there were slight reductions in the areas of service and pricing.

The best pizza I've eaten in a long time.

Reservations (6 people) will not be viewed (no set table upon arrival). No professional service, language English. No thanks and goodbye at the end. You don't have to go there anymore.

We wanted to order a good pizza. You can order directly on the homepage, after an hour we called and they didn't have an order from us. We received a confirmation and had already paid. Then we were informed that the delivery vehicle was broken and the pizzas had to be picked up. We were further disappointed at home - the very expensive pizzas were small and one that cost CHF 31 was missing the homemade tuna sauce! It was nice that we got 2 tiramisus as an apology, but there are three of us. Communication on the phone wasn't possible either because the staff didn't speak German! It was the last time we ordered pizza.

We were presented with a fantastic wine recommendation for our food and a standard of service that we have rarely been able to enjoy in Switzerland! Even though we were the last guests of the evening, we enjoyed the best Italian ambience and were thrilled from start to finish. The Italian dishes were excellently prepared! From the carpaccio to the truffle carbonara and the delicious pizza with the finest pizza base! Compliments to the kitchen. The price-performance ratio is perfect for us as young visitors! I ordered a pizza. This arrived 30 minutes late and is cold. When I called, they didn't even apologize. It's a shame once and never again. I think that's cheeky because the pizzas aren't even cheap.

We stopped on a long drive and weren’t sure what to expect, but WOW! This place is such a hidden gem. We had a beautiful terrace environment, amazing service, and THE FOOD! 🤩🤤 it was all incredible. The pizza is some of the best I’ve had across Europe (don’t let the fact that it’s in Switzerland make you underestimate the quality of this Italian restaurant!), and my husband had the spaghetti carbonara with black truffles. Wouldn’t change a thing. We also had a delicious, beautifully presented salad and dessert. The attention to detail here is amazing, and the service couldn’t have been better.

Wunderbares Essen und das Personal war extrem freundlich. Der Besitzer kam auch für 5min vorbei und plauderte gemütlich mit uns. Villeicht eher etwas au der teuren Seite, also nichts für Studenten oder jemanden der weniger ausgeben möchte fürs essen. Werde definitiv wieder besuchen kommen und kann es nur jedem weiterempfehlen.

Ich bewerte nun nur die drei Speisen, weil ich nur davon gekostet habe. Der gemischte Salat haut einem nicht aus den Socken. Bei den Tagesmenues findet JedeR etwas, die Wartezeiten sind klein. Wir schätzen den aufmerksamen Service der Chefin, die Tische in beiden Räume des Restaurants sind so platziert, dass genügend Privatspähre bleibt. Keine Spitzengastronomie, dafür sind die Preise moderat, das Essen soweit so gut und die Pizzen immer bene. Man kommt gerne - uns jedenfalls geht es so.
