I ate in one of the fondue huts outside, but the food is excellent and it's good fun having a hut just with friends. They also provide a blue tooth speaker so you can play your own music

We were here at the Fondue-Dörfli on Valentine's Day. Everything was very lovingly decorated and the service was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. The food was very tasty. What we really liked was the very tasty salad dressing. We will definitely come again!

We traveled from Germany to visit Schartenfels Castle. It started with a wonderful panoramic view over Baden and the mountains. We visited a Founduehütli, which are really big and very cuddly. Absolutely top - as is the main menu there. Very loving service in the best atmosphere. Recommendation! Thank you for the lovely evening.

Lively, cheerful service employees, very nice views over the city. The afternoon menu was filled with lots of interesting IceCoup (Mövenpick) and there were also seasonal vermicelles, which were served in a beautiful bowl and beautifully presented.

Addendum 01/14/24: 4-course menu and concept in the fondue village on the restaurant terrace is a great thing. There are meat platters, salad, fondue and a light dessert and everything is really delicious. In the wooden houses you only sit with your own people, it can be heated individually and you can listen to your own music using the Bluetooth music box provided. Great idea. I was a guest in the fondue village for the second time.

Prepared with a lot of love - you feel comfortable. The service is very attentive and goes above and beyond the standard. The menu offers enough choice and caters to different tastes. The food is at a good level.

Service and atmosphere with view is terrific. Cocktails isnt fine, beef tar-tar was very average, the food did not make any impression. The price is too high for food. I think the price is only for the view and location. It is better to book tables in good weather.

I was just in the area, hungry and accidentally found this lovely restaurant through Google maps. It is an impressive castle with a restaurant, you have a beautiful view of the city while eating outside. As a main course I had classic Zöri sliced ​​veal with rösti, before that I had a fine, sophisticated mixed salad with house dressing as a starter. The service was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely come again, I can recommend it. I just went there on the chance and wasn't disappointed.

Location, food and service are excellent and should be for the price you pay here. One point of criticism is the poor selection of vegetarian dishes. This restaurant changes the menu so I used to get a vegetarian dish here, now I'm out of luck. Due to the lack of vegetables. Choice, once they even accommodated four of us by preparing something that wasn't on the menu and it tasted good. That's why I give them 5 stars.

Nice location and easy to reach by car or on foot. There are always enough parking spaces available, even on weekends. Very well maintained, nice staff. The food was really very good. The meat is super tender and overall very well balanced in terms of taste. Only the vegetables were rather too crunchy. I would like to go there again.

After a walk along the path that starts from Wettingen to the castle we stopped to drink and enjoy a splendid view... I saw that outside they had set up small wooden houses so that we could eat fondue for several people... I find very original... next time it will be worth experimenting with....

Fondue Dörfli is very cozy at Christmas time. Own, small "chalet" for 4-8 people. Bluetooth speakers available to play your personal Christmas music or whatever (great idea). Meat platters as a starter and then plenty of fondue. Service friendly and quick. The price is rather high, but the experience is definitely worth it.

On one occasion there was a pike perch fillet with yellow beets and 3 potatoes. The yellow beets were hard, as were the potatoes. The fish was so-so. Disappointing! From the service staff - an excellent effort.

Food, service and ambience are top. The portions could be larger - but side dishes are served upon request - exemplary. Prices at the upper end, considering the ambience and quality, just not OK.

Very satisfied overall: 12 people registered for lunch on Sunday the day before. We were given a carefully laid table by the picture window. Although we were actually already late - we only arrived at the restaurant just before 1 p.m. - a nice selection of menus was suggested to us. A gluten-free dish could even be found for the youngest, who suffers from celiac disease. We were looked after quickly and carefully with great attention. The kitchen did an excellent job. Although we ordered quite different menus à la carte, everyone received the main course at the same time - and what we got tasted excellent and was prepared with great attention to detail. In short: we felt like we were warmly welcomed, not just paying guests, and were provided with excellent food. Thank you very much and keep it up!

It was our first time at Schartenfels Castle, at the suggestion of having dinner with friends. The location is wonderful with great views of Baden, Wettingen and Zurich. The garden terrace offers a first-class ambience on a mild summer evening. Accordingly, the prices are in the upper segment - in our opinion we can actually speak of the Gault Millau range. The food was decent, but in our opinion it would need a lot more to catch up with the price level. But that wasn't a problem for us in and of itself, because the ambience is also worth something. What bothered us more was the narrow seating in the garden restaurant, which was more reminiscent of a bar. If we decide on such an ambience and these prices, then we don't really see the constant conversation from the neighboring tables placed close to each other and the omnipresent wafts of cigarettes as an enrichment. We wish the friendly service a big thank you and the operators good luck.
