Schwengimatt in Laupersdorf

The family that runs this place is very friendly. They were kind enough (although reluctant) to accept euro, when we didn't have any CHF in cash (and there was no option to pay by card). The food was really tasty and the portions were really big. You have to be really hungry to eat the whole thing. Luckily we were 😁

We were thrilled with the hiking plate with breaded schnitzel (juicy & fine) richly garnished with fine salads and French fries. A big thank you from 3 Basel residents who hiked to Hällchöpfli.

Spend the night in the Schwengimatt on the farm in one of the two renovated guest rooms with a new, comfortable bed. Shared bathroom like on the ship. It smells of straw and hay, just like on the farm ;) The food was very generous, even the small portion was huge. Friendly service and nice conversations when there is little going on.

Large portions (salad plate with 9 different salads 😋) unfortunately only self-service but understandable. Friendly and nice.

The restaurant was closed, but you could buy drinks and snacks from the fridge and drinking water was provided for bottling. The outdoor area looked very well maintained and there was a playground
