Seebad Enge in Zürich

In the winter season it transforms into a sauna with a view of the lake. A place where you can relax and challenge yourself by swimming directly in the lake. Hot/cold effect that invigorates you to stay in shape all winter long. Possible to have a wait at the end of the day and weekend depending on the day. Friendly, respectful and friendly staff.

Tip top, everything is great. Very friendly staff, great location, not very big. And jumping into the cold lake in February is super refreshing.

Beautiful place to rest and relax with the beautiful views and the sauna plus a bath in the icy waters of the lake, I recommend it yes or yes, hopefully as a couple.

The sauna by the lake is absolutely cult and part of the Zurich scene. The rooms are very nice, simple and practical. The operation runs very efficiently and well in the background. The cleanliness is very good and the comfort is not neglected. The bistro offers good snacks, food and drinks. Due to its prominent location, the sauna is very well known and easy to reach, which means that at peak times you can spend an hour on the waiting list. When the weather is cold outside, it can be uncomfortable. It is advisable to go at off-peak times. When things are busy, there isn't much peace and quiet in the relaxation area. There are very loud discussions, which reduces the relaxation somewhat. The visitors are very diverse, which can be very interesting and leads to great conversations. We go regularly because the cold swim in the lake and the view are simply unique.

A place for winter swimming, relaxation and enjoyment. Motivated, cheerful and very hard-working team. Thanks!!

Sauna and swim. A must when in Zurich

We were able to enjoy a very nice evening with Moules & Frites. The food was delicious, the service was great👍 We are looking forward to next year

We loved it. Warm and charming welcome. Several saunas of different temperatures. Mixed days and one day for women only. Fair price. Possibility to eat here. Brazier in the evening by the lake. Swimming in the lake after the sauna for those who wish. Magical atmosphere in the evening with the illuminations.

Very nicely located. Went to the annual moules meal. This year they were particularly delicious. You choose between tomato or Julien sauce (I or F).

One of my favorite places to hang out during summer! You can enter for 8 CHF to have a swim and stay all the day and offers also showed and fresh water! Also the vibe is quite nice and overall an nice variety of people! It is in my opinion the best Badi in Zurich!

Great place with lake access, bar and sauna. I was there for a private event and it's a great set up for mingling and networking.

Completely overcrowded, ridiculously small and no places to lie down because it was completely overcrowded - on a Monday!

Amazing location and very relaxing. It was 8Sfr to go the entire day. It’s pretty crowded filled with folks swimming / working remotely / enjoying the atmosphere. There was a restaurant servings great cold drinks/food A life guard on duty allows you to enjoy the swim in the lake with no worries. Some good shady bits but bring sun tan lotion as many slots are outside the shade. Would highly recommend but get there early (at least in the summer)

It’s a cool place but it gets extremely busy. You have to go off rush hours (during office hours) not to have to be sausaged-in. The food choice is limited, mostly snacks. It is a cool place to have a drink because of the location/setting on the lake of Zurich. Definitely worth a visit but I wouldn’t rate it as the best bathing facility in Zurich.

Really good facilities for a relaxed day by the lake. It gets very crowded at about 11-12 on weekdays. I can’t imagine the weekend.

A bit decadent for Zurich, but that's a matter of opinion! I would like to expressly emphasize that the review is based on an answer to the question from Google about how I liked the seaside resort. I suspect that the scale of people gathering there would refute my statement. In any case, it doesn't fit my to-do list!

Perfect place for a summer evening. They also serve surprisingly good food.

A bit crowded but thats not surprising given the time of year. The lap lanes are a nice touch that other baths don't have. Will definitely come back

The best sauna in Zurich! The saunas are on a large raft and you have a great view of Lake Zurich where you can also swim wonderfully :)

Marvelous spot to get some sun and a drink. Lockers available of all sizes if you’re passing through and looking to take a dip.

Excellent spot for a day off and just relax in the sun and water. Bring your own towel or rent one same for locks for the lockers. The water is cold but refreshing. Will be back eventually!

A good and simple place to chill out and swim on the lake in Zurich

Very popular (maybe too popular), and probably the best lake pool (Badi) in Zürich. The building and the amenities are a bit old and run down, but the view from the Badi, the easy access to the lake, the good drinks and great food, the awesome coffee and croissants in the morning and the general atmosphere more than make up for this. Usually quiet in the mornings until 11:00. Can be extremely busy in the afternoon, but again quiets down after 8PM, which honestly is the best time for a swim when the lake temperature allows it. I wish less people knew about this place, since I wish it was my own little piece of heaven. Has a mixed and a women only side. This might seem weird for some people, but in Zürich this is completely normal. During the summer and winter months they also have an awesome sauna service.

Take a look feom the outside before you get inside. We paid to get in and it was full as f... ! Almost no space to place the towel. I saw people pay and get out because there was no space. Is there not a limit?

Even in the pre-season we enjoyed sun and drinks around the seaside resort and enjoyed the beautiful view.

Get here early to get a spot, but definitely a great Badi to just come chill, jump in the lake, and get drinks! Tip: you can bring your own drinks and food in 👍🏼

The sauna (mostly open during winter) is a secret happines and euphoria generator: doing 3-4 cycles of eye-popping-hot sauna followed by a dip in the refreshing cool waters of Zurich Lake gives you such a feeling of bliss, that you can't get anywhere else.

Staff did not let my boyfriend through the door just because he apparently looked “threatening” due to him being bigger in the muscle department. Very disappointed by this ridiculous ridiculous reason. Waited 40 minutes to get in and when it was time, the woman at the entrance rudely told him, he is not allowed to enter but the rest of the group with him can go in.

The bathroom is nice. But it was raining and too cold to swim

The sauna area is top notch and jumping into the lake afterwards just makes it perfect. Somehow the staff was a bit strange and conceited. But that probably won't always be the case

Sauna Seebad Enge used to be a wonderful place to make Sauna, relax, calm down from a long day. But nowadays, guests doesn't follow basic Sauna etiquette. They loudly converse and some don't shower before Sauna. That leads to bad smell. Guests cannot wait and eat in the restaurant until a slot opens up. They have to wait outside in the cold. Another strange change: Flip flops aren't available, anymore. Most viable Suggestion: Inform guests about basic Sauna etiquette. I understand, not everyone visits a Sauna for relaxation or knows the Finnish way so it would be great to educate guests that are new to the concept. We used to visit often but this week was our last visit until we hear that changes were implemented.

Calm and chill place, really nice view. Might be tight if there are full capacity. Worth a visit.

Very nice. Sometimes you have to wait a little long for your turn. Therefore four stars.

In winter, make sure to check the website and the level of queue (live!) for the sauna. You may get stuck for more than one hour outside waiting otherwise. You’re welcome.

Cool place at the lake, u sit in sauna and have a direct view on the lake and Bellevieu with Opera next to. You can cool down after sauna séance directly in the like. It has a bit old school style ambience but that's very on time concept. They usually have tasty simple menu proposal. Try yourself!

Today we were eating mussels in the Seebadi Enge. Not for the first time. Overall thrilled. The food was sensational. The service was absolutely friendly. I'm positively speechless at how spoiled we were. You do it with so much passion and it shows. A huge thank you.

Sunday 4 p.m.... we were turned away, the staff now needs a break until 6 p.m.!!! P.S. The two people in front of us also... is serving drinks at the self-service bar so exhausting?

almost everything was nice and great, great location; BUT the sauna cabins look ancient (retro style!), the wood is badly discolored and darkened (doesn't bother me yet) AND it smells really pungent of very old sweat that has penetrated deep into the wooden slats and has been heated 1000 times, so stinky high 3 = no Go! P.S. I've never experienced such a stinky sauna in my entire life...!!!

Visited this swimming pool for the first time today (even though I've lived in Zurich since I was born and have probably walked past it hundreds of times..). Wow, what a discovery! Great atmosphere, very friendly, courteous staff! Felt comfortable there from the first minute. Will come again next year.

Perfect spot for lunch breaks or after work apero in the summer. Nice selection of snacks and cocktails.

Especially the part that only women are allowed to visit is ideal for enjoying the sun with your upper body free :)

Arrived at 2pm on a Friday and it was already quite full. Still managed to get a spot and enjoy the afternoon in and out of the water. Drinks and food were okay, rather not the highlight of the visit.

Unfortunately, I can't understand the many good reviews here. 1. Admission costs CHF 8 for adults. 2. The changing rooms need some renovation! You feel like you're in a prison... 3. Last time we had no room to lie down, we could have been told at the checkout. -> I'd rather lie down on a meadow for free and walk to the lake for a moment!

It's wonderful to swim here! The view from there is a dream. But I can't stand it for longer than 1 1/2 hours because the lying area is rather cramped.

Were here on Sunday for SUPing. Very friendly gentleman who reserved a SUP for us by phone in advance. Then when we arrived, he was very nice and looked at which one was most suitable for me. I'm a beginner. It would have been too crowded for me to swim, but I wanted to go to the lake Great. Great personal service. Thank you

Very friendly staff. It's really tight at times, but you get along with it. The selection of drinks and food is above average for a seaside resort.
