Seecafé Arion in Rorschach

After a delicious lunch at Pizzeria Capri, we went to the Seecafe for coffee. The service was friendly, it's just a shame that there weren't enough staff for so many guests. But the weather this month was unstable and so scheduling staff wasn't easy either (I come from the hospitality industry myself). But otherwise everything was great. When the weather is nice and a fine coffee and a great tea (high-class tea), everything is biodegradable. The café is recommended. LG Uschi and 🐶 NEO

The location is wonderful, but you don't have to try to enjoy a coffee there on Sunday. The waitress ignores you after repeatedly asking if you can order. When you go in to place your order, you are told if you can't wait, then you should move on and not stay here. Nothing more than a good location is offered here and as a customer you still have to make sure that the staff feels comfortable.

Today we were at Arion's and we had to wait about 30 minutes until the tables were cleaned. The service was zero. A waitress was very, very rude to us. She served us very poorly

Today we went to the Arion restaurant. We were seated at an untidy table and had to wait more than 30 minutes. When someone from the service finally came, she seemed quite unfriendly and didn't welcome us either. After ordering we had to wait another 20 minutes until she finally came with the drinks but the table still hadn't been cleared. She served us the drinks in a rather cheeky manner and ran away again. When I then sent my little 10 year old daughter to ask if the tables could be cleared, she yelled at my daughter and sent her back. When my colleague asked her if she could clean the table, she became very cheeky and said: “We are not instructed by you”. From then on we had enough. We left the drinks and ran away. We were served by a tall, short-haired, blonde, slightly older woman.

Today I was there in Café Arion and I waited 23 minutes until I got up and left. People came later and they served her first than we used to, it wasn't that bad, sorry

My visit to Seecafé Arion Rorschach was extremely disappointing. We were ignored by a disinterested waitress who obviously had other things in mind than looking after the guests. Despite calling several times, I received no attention and the waitress never showed up at our table. The condition of the table also left a lot to be desired. Empty glasses and a full ashtray from the previous guest could still be found there. When I tried to order at the counter after waiting 20 minutes, I was literally turned away without making any effort to respond to my requests. Instead, I was harshly told to "move on" if I didn't have time to wait. I have never experienced such unfriendly behavior. Overall, my visit to Caffe Arion Rorschach was a bitter disappointment. The service was inadequate, the cleanliness left something to be desired and the treatment of guests was disrespectful. I certainly won't be returning and can only advise others not to waste their time and money here.

Was very nice here. Service was very friendly. Since it was very full, we had to wait a little longer until we were served and could pay. But otherwise everything was ok.

A café for the whole year, whether café, grace, mulled wine or cake. Always worth a quick stop. Parking spaces nearby, swimming options and there is also a place to sunbathe 🤪

From the table in the café you can have a beautiful view of Lake Constance. We had a cappuccino warm and one cold and a Coupe Denmark. That was good. Our return visit on a lovely Sunday in August required time and patience. The restaurant was packed and the waitresses seemed a little overwhelmed. First of all, we had to wait a long time until our order was taken and when we wanted to pay, we needed two attempts before we were noticed. It's a shame, because the café is actually in a great spot. This time we also had a vegan friend with us. She highly praised the vegan dishes on offer and enjoyed a vegan ice cream sundae.

The food and ambience were good, but the service was very, very, bad. I was there last night around 10 p.m. with my friend and three other colleagues. I first had to ask how long it would be open because the people there were already cleaning. And when we wanted to pay, it took a very, very long time for someone to come, so really bad service and waiting time. I'd have to laugh when the Seecafe Arion closes. Just like it was yesterday, suddenly not many people go there anymore. Seecafe Arion is not recommended. You get very poor service and you have to wait a very, very long time.

The staff is charming but untrained and overworked. I waited half an hour to place an orde, even though the restaurant was only half full. During this time, some guests left the place disappointed. To pay, I had to wait a quarter hour again, and then go to the counter myself. Another five minutes of troubleshooting with the POS system. Very expensive, although I have got used to Swiss prices.

We have been there again and again over the last few years for a coffee or a small meal. In addition to the ongoing staff changes, the prices for a simple See Café have increased significantly. The coffee is 5.10CHF. The meals are very small and are only intended for small appetites, although you get much more for this price in a simple restaurant. The staff does not accept input, but rejects it.

It's a special spot on the lake. The ice cream was good, the view was excellent. As usual, the prices in CH are relatively high.

Outrageous prices! A mini children's portion of fries 9.50 Fr. + 3 Fr. extra for ketchup and mayo! The delicious home-made soups have also been abolished, but instead there are canned tomatoes, barley and goulash soup!!! We'll never go there again!

A visit to the Seecafé Arion in Rorschach on beautiful Lake Constance is definitely worth a visit.🌊☀️ The entire service staff and especially Rosi are always in a good mood and friendly while doing their work always take things very seriously😇even when things get stressful and hectic, they always keep a cool head🤩 Please keep it up👍

We are here every second Sunday from spring to fall until today. The last 2x incl. Waited 45 minutes today for the order to be taken, 20 more until we got it. When we asked if there was self-service (in the normal tone, as it may have changed.) the older lady just said sit down and just wait in an arrogant tone. We'll definitely change our Sunday outing Resti

It keeps getting worse and worse. Too few staff, the women who work there are overwhelmed, and the quality of the service leaves a lot to be desired. It's a shame, I don't know if we'll even come ☹️

Unfortunately, the last loving touch is always missing here in Switzerland. A lot of it is cold and not very loving. The staff seems overwhelmed. It's a shame, this beauty by the lake could offer more.

The Restarant Arion is located directly on the lake near the beautiful Arion meadow and the fountain. A short stop here is a nice thing. The staff is friendly and courteous. You can eat something small and delicious there. The prices are quite reasonable considering the prominent location. A good opportunity to take a break while walking. The restaurant is clean and pleasant to linger in.

I've been a regular at the Arion for a long time and really enjoyed it. However, the staff is now unbearable. Mrs Wagner is hardly up to the task of running this business, the good woman goes to the toilet and then brings me food without washing her hands, ugh never again Arion.

Unfortunately the hot chocolate drink was a lukewarm vending machine drink and the desserts were just...a shame

The croissants and nut croissants are to be thrown away, although there are brilliant bakers in the region, such as Kölbener or Füger... It is one of the few cafés in the area and would be great given the location, but the food and drinks are very disappointing wish left. I would have liked less, but something more special (e.g. more elaborate cakes, trendy drinks or a house chocolate or a fresh iced tea according to our own recipe, etc...) Unfortunately, the serving staff changes constantly - for whatever reason. In short: You could turn it into a real trendy café, but there is simply no attention to detail... So it remains a run-of-the-mill café and you only go because the only alternative is the Mozart... It's a shame

Refreshments available on the lakeshore. Quite okay for a short stop. The location is enhanced by the 23rd International Sand Sculpture Festival, which takes place next door. We don't need to talk any further about prices in Switzerland. But the staff was funny and charming.

The two of us had dinner 45 minutes before closing (2 p.m., had a team meeting at that time). The waitress kindly pointed out to us that the restaurant closes at 2 p.m., which was all right and good. But as soon as we were eating, the waitress put pressure on us to eat quickly and leave, clearing away bottles and other annoying things. What was really a disgrace was that we had to pay while we were eating, just NAUGHTY!!! If the restaurant is planning any special closures, they should plan a little better, maybe 30 minutes in advance. The restaurant has to expect that people will want to consume something shortly before the closure. Didn't deserve a star!!!!

Great place for a coffee after an early morning run, yoga and intense workout. Over looking the big lake, with a lush green open space Infront, this is a great place to be the whole day.

Spring, sun, ice cream. Just the right moment to stop here on the lake promenade in Rorschach. Enough space, bicycle parking, playground nearby, friendly staff, fine ice cream (even if it's convenience) and fine coffee!

We would like to thank the staff of Seecafé Arion for their hospitality and professional service. An ideal place for an aperitif with excellent tasty food and a wide selection of drinks. It was wonderful for us and we always enjoy coming back. Big thank you to Renate.

Four of us were in the Seecafe on Saturday August 21st, 21 and satisfaction looks different, ice cream parlor with rolls and black broth are not available here in Switzerland and unfortunately we didn't see that it was on the menu twice, once the " "normal" ice cream parlor with a picture and then just written without a picture! I wasn't impressed by the waitress' answer that we had enough time to look at the menu either. Yes, we both paid, but we will be careful not to visit the cafe again.

Sand festivals can be admired here at the moment.
