Seehaus Goldküste in Zürichsee (ZH)

The Seehaus in Herrliberg is a wonderful restaurant for us. The ambience and view is fantastic and the staff is very friendly. I'm really glad it's open again. Lovely again.

Food was very good, service was excellent!

It was our first time in the lake house and it was simply relaxing and beautiful. The food was lovely and beautifully presented. The background music makes you feel like you're at the sea :-). The service was very friendly and courteous. Nice decoration with the Easter bunnies. We'll definitely be back!

Wonderful pre-opening event with a great atmosphere thanks to highly motivated service staff and excellent food. We are looking forward to the opening and will be back. :-)

Today we were at the lake house for a birthday dinner with 6 people. Today is Tuesday. The restaurant was well attended but not full. We were there at 7:00 p.m. We made our menu choice relatively quickly and the starter arrived shortly before 8 p.m. We then waited until just before 8:50 a.m. We asked the chef de service owner (?) - where the main course was - oh just wait 5-6 minutes and it should come - was the answer. At 9:10 we still had nothing on the table. We complained again - and pointed out that the table behind us came after us and had already left and eaten, and that the 3 women at the next table also came much later and had already had the main course. Answer - they only chose one gear and we were in between and had to wait. An apology - none - when we said something again and threatened to leave - all we got was "oh, that's your decision". My brother paid around 400 for 5 starters, some water and 1 bottle of wine. At 9:15 he and I left the restaurant to get the cars. When we were outside he came back to the table and just said that the food was ready and whether we wanted it - to which my sister-in-law firmly said no and pointed out to him again the absolutely lousy service. We never got an apology - we had to point out to him that we hadn't had the main course yet - he didn't think of it on his own... Incredibly arrogant and unprofessional - and I know what I'm talking about - I'm from the same place Metier. What a shame, the view is great - but we will NEVER eat there again. An apology would have been ABSOLUTELY appropriate..... WELL

Everything perfect but too expensive

Today I was there for dinner with my mother. Again we ate very well and the service was attentive and very friendly.

The woman in service at the weekend is a pearl of gold. Best service in a long time in Zurich. We felt very comfortable. The food and location is unbeatable.

I think the wine was a little too expensive, CHF16 for 1dl of white wine for me is a little excessive even for Zurich. Likewise bottles starting at CHF70 I think is too high for the type is restaurant. Otherwise, I would strongly recommend this restaurant

A fresh, exquisite paella. Very good service and a spectacular view of Lake Zurich. To repeat it.

Went there for a lunch with a girlfriend and we had a great time - food was good quality (I had the Linguine vongole and a lemon sorbet as a desert), the service was quick, and the atmosphere was relaxing, watching the lake from the table. Would definitely recommend!

Great location, delicious meals

For us the most pleasant restaurant on the lake; wonderfully personal service (not pretentious or aloof); the food is solid and tastes very good; and well, when the sun shines, right on the lake, that's special.

Location, service and atmosphere are 5 stars. The foods need some reviews…the sushi cannot have any sauce or cream on top, it destroys every fish taste. In the fish and chips the fish was super, the chips were frozen pom frites, a bit disappointing for 38 chf dish. Overall a nice experience but with few things to review.

We had a wonderful evening with 22 people. The atmosphere is cozy, the food is very good, the service (Denise) is great and warm. Despite the rain, a beautiful location.

The starter, goat cheese, tunatstar and the salad were very good. The steak, the Wienerschnitzel and the fish & chips would have been better at a fast food stand. Fries weren't good at all, the steak with Café de Paris was boring and tasteless. We were disappointed 😞

Food is great. We had sushi, which never disappoints here. Location is great. Zurich prices. Service so so (wine did not arrive, while food was there already for a while, order was not taken correctly), but honestly I think it may be due to a bit of lack of experience combined with probably an unlucky combination of circumstances. I gave a 3 for this reason, but overall could have been a 4. Recommended.

Very beautiful place with a lovely service and very delicious food. We considered the Shabu Shabu menu with the very fine wagyu beef. It was worth the price and I can recommend anyone to visit the place and enjoy the Zurich lake view.

We were a group of 3 people. Between us we had the salad, goat’s cheese (truly lovely), tarter, fish and chips and sushi selection. Wine recommendation (Albariño) was fabulous. Service was attentive but not intrusive.

The place is magnificent, the restaurant overlooks the lake with a beautiful exposure. The staff is smiling and attentive. The menu is not great, very few vegetarian or light options. The food was not very refined and difficult to digest..

Big compliments to the kitchen and the service, the schnitzel with the lukewarm potato salad was delicious and the view of the lake was brilliant.

Great views and sushi was nice. Service was awful. Tall girl walking around chewing gum, and another guy making us wait 20 mins for our first drinks. Disappointing as it could be great, and should be considering it's not cheap. Many other better options around

The location is great. The food good. But the service is unprofessional for a restaurant in this price range. Fits a small, simple beach bar. It started with a table that was much too small for 6 people, even though there was still a free table next to it. We no longer knew where to put the glasses, drinks and side dishes. The waitress wasn't interested. We also had to adjust the parasol ourselves. Nobody reacted at all. For the white wine she brought different white wine glasses. The drinks are just placed on the table, not poured. The bread with tartare was rationed. We had to reorder twice with a 10 minute wait and two reminders. Great for raw meat at 30 degrees! The fish of the day (rather expensive for little fish) is served without a side dish, but we don't know what that is. Nobody asked if everything was okay or if you still had a wish. My daughter's meat was fully charged even though she had a small portion. The grilled vegetables were vegetables cooked in water. Call it little things. But that's what matters when you go out to eat in a more upscale restaurant.

Here you feel comfortable right from the reservation and greeting. Very familiar atmosphere and great offerings. High quality of food and drinks. I wish the operators every success in finding the missing staff as quickly as possible.

A highlight of the Lake Zurich Riviera, complete with a perfect sunset. A delightfully fluffy meagre served on a bed of vegetables and a puree of roots. All this accompanied by a perfect Grauburgunder from the Zürich Highlands, enjoyed as the gaze rests on a near motionless Lake. Service is hushed and efficient and the moored Boesch-Boat at the Landing below adds a sense of class to an already stylish environment.

The food was very good, but the service was a bit overwhelmed at times. The location is great, when the weather is nice the terrace right on the lake is the highlight.

Simply wonderful in the lake house. Reserved spontaneously and then enjoyed the sushi 🍣. View of the lake couldn't be better. Always courteous service with good recommendations. The menu is clear but the quality of the dishes is always very good. Pleasant atmosphere.

Unfortunate experience at this place. The service was truly bad considering the price and overall "atmosphere." We had to get up multiple times to ask for water, menus, and drinks. When the service did appear, the young lady was rude and snappy. I tried to email to let management know rather than complaining online...but received no response so here we are.

Despite the rainy weather we enjoyed our lunch on the heated terrace of the restaurant. I had sushi that didn't surprise, but the quality was good.

A pity! Such a noble address should be able to do justice to every guest! If you want to eat something and they say there is a table available, you should be able to serve it... That means you shouldn't come by between 4 and 6 and allow yourself to eat something! The location is still very good! It's a shame that you rest on your laurels and even if a guest expresses his dissatisfaction, you don't respond to it and react with unprofessionalism. Better stop by next door!

Waited for 20 minutes without being served, you're resting a bit too much on the good location here. A pity. In addition, the kitchen was supposedly closed, and other guests were given food...

Kindness is different. Just had a coffee today. Next time maybe the company event with over 100 people. Wasn't exactly greeted in a friendly way. Okay, then there's probably no tip either.

Beautiful warehouse, super nice view, unprofessional service that I haven't experienced in 25 years, it almost shocked me... the blonde, thin woman had no idea, and we didn't get a drinks menu either... .. so I wouldn't recommend working in a restaurant... and we waited about 20 minutes to pay because there weren't that many people... I definitely don't recommend this place, but from April next to where the employees are are more nice, I recommend.

I actually never rate things because a lot of it is a matter of opinion. But I have never experienced such terrible service. Waiting time to order about 20 minutes...waiting time for delivery of 2 colas another 20 minutes...plus weird comments...ohh, do something different people...

Its a good place for visiting, having a good lunch menu, good scenery, lovely waitress. Its the 1st I visit this place, of course I will go there again

RESTAURANT incompetent high 10. It's unbelievable how you get such reviews. WITHOUT WORDS!!!! BETTER TO PREPARE A PICNIC BASKET AND PUT IT IN THE BADI WITH A BLANKET - than to leave a penny there.

The restaurant is right on Lake Zurich. The view over the lake is fabulous and there are enough free tables at lunchtime. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the menus are delicious.

Exorbitant land prices have made restaurants on the right bank of Lake Zurich rare, so people are happy about the establishments that are still left. Unfortunately, the Seehaus has introduced its own Corona measures: the forced terrace. Although a group of four of us all had a certificate in our hands, we had to sit on the terrace despite the rather cool temperatures (which was not mentioned in the electronic reservation, the telephone was not answered and an email about it came to us too late). Where other restaurants pull out the check app and examine the ID like border guards, here's the surprise: No, they don't want to check certificates, says the hostess, so they only serve outside. The dozen or so tables inside remain unused. Is that still the case in winter, the certificate requirement only applies until January, or are we hoping for drastic climate change? On this September evening the weather was still normal, namely increasingly cold, warming blankets were already in short supply as even more guests were freezing and there was no space left under the warming hoods. Well, sometimes you don't sit inside when skiing, even though there is a bit of a draft, but with a ski suit on. The clear menu offers what you would expect at the lake at fairly generous prices, a request for a nut-free salad led to a long delay, the main courses were, as they say, okay. They don't have decaffeinated coffee, so at the end a Citron tart was ordered. After 15 minutes, the somewhat distracted service said that the “receipt for the dessert had gone nowhere,” that unfortunately there was no one left in the kitchen, that they had checked and that there was no point in turning on the oven again. We asked for the bill. Saying goodbye to the numerous employees still standing around: none.

We had a wonderful dinner with family. Service was impeccable, food was top notch. Everybody was friendly and efficient. The view onto the lake is pure magic. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice terrace, where else can you find it directly on Lake Zurich. The kitchen always impresses and the staff is very nice. Every visit is like a day of vacation.

Nothing was amazing except the view, I was shocked by all the positive reviews. Service was rude and bad, my husband found a stretch wrap around one of the sushi pieces. The fish I had was dipped in coarse salt, I ate pieces of salt. When we arrived we wanted to change our table as it was too hot but we were told that all the other tables' guests were coming soon. In the end noone came, at 22:30 the restaurant was still almost fully empty. Rude service is one thing but lying is on another level, come on! ---- In response to the answer below: First of all, you moved us to a table next to ours which was still in the half closed area and super hot and was not at the main terrace. Second the waitress never mentioned that the idea was to give us more space because of the stroller but it was because all the other tables had already guests coming, which did not happen obviously. In addition, there was enough space for the stroller next to other tables as well. At 20:30, there were approx. 4-5 tables in total. So at the time of my booking, I imagine being the 4th-5th one at worst. Can you write here how many tables you have in total at the terrace? Did you have like 20 cancellations?

Were at the lake house with 4 people at 2:30 p.m. to have a little drink. Even though there were free seats, there was only room for people who wanted to eat. Had to go again. Very snooty staff.
