Sennhaus in Oberdorf (SO)

We were able to enjoy a wonderful visit here today. The food was very good, the service was absolutely amazing and so nothing stood in the way of the ambience. Lots of hosts can learn a lesson here. Highly recommended!

Very child-friendly restaurant. We felt very comfortable with a small child and the food is excellent. The service is extremely friendly and took our child seriously. We'd love to come back.

The day is coming when women should also retire. There's nothing to complain about about the food and it came quickly. Ordering dessert felt like it took as long as climbing the mountain. In addition, the statement that we are not in Paris was very inappropriate.

This good restaurant is located about 300m from the Weissenstein/SO gondola mountain station. It is an advantage if you make a reservation. Good, well-positioned people in service. There is something for everyone and also a good selection of homemade cakes, cuisines and other desserts. Afterwards, various hikes/walks can be taken.

Unfriendly, disinterested service. No heart and soul at work. I don't feel welcome here. Although I consumed some, this was the case. The portions weren't very big.

A mountain restaurant as you would imagine. A large à la carte menu at fair prices. Large and fine dessert menu. The service was prompt, very nice and humorous. For eating on the Weissenstein, I recommend the Restaurant Sennhaus and definitely NOT the Hotel-Restaurant Weissenstein. A measly portion of burger with a few lonely fries and a few lettuce leaves costs CHF 36 there.

A bit inconspicuous when you come down from Weissenstein, but it's worth it. The food is great and the play area for the children is also great

The food was alright, it's got a little variety of traditional swiss food, drinks and ice cream, but the prices are pretty high and the portions not that big... We got the option of ordering little portions so it's cheaper, but still I think the prices where to high in proportion to the amount of food we got. However they got a terrace where u can eat in summer and a cute little playground for little kids. There's a path to walk nearby, as well as a vantage point from which u'll see the whole valley crossed by the beautiful and famous river "Aare".

My menu had to be pureed because I had surgery on my larynx and esophagus. Solid food is no longer possible. My special requests were implemented very well so that I could eat. Thank you very much for this great service.

A fun place to have a family meal. Friendly and fast service, and very tasty rustic Swiss food, perfect for in the mountains. A little expensive, but it can't be cheap to run a restaurant in that location.

After a hike on Sunday morning up the Stigelos, then to the Balmfluechöpfli and via Röti to the Weissenstein, there is nothing better than a Sennhaus Rösti in the Sennhaus... straight 5 stars.

Almost impossible to find a spot on a sunny autumn day! Therefore extremely long waiting times! The staff runs back and forth but still remains friendly. How would it be if the management had more staff on call, for example?!

The restaurant is nicely located. The food is good. Unfortunately the gondola lift is much too expensive... 30fr for an adult... demolition...

We were on a hike on the Weissenstein and had lunch here. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. The restaurant was very busy, advance reservation is recommended. I'll be back.

It was a disaster. I waited at a table for a long time and wasn't served, but when I asked if I could order something I got another reprimand. Not like that and after almost half an hour I got up and left.
