Silo 5 in Bottighofen

Were here again yesterday for dinner, sat in the upper part. Nice atmosphere. We had the beef burger, too much salad for me, the meat was partly not warm enough, but the taste was good. Unfortunately, the fried calemares were a bit tough. Service was nice and friendly.

Lunch portions are no longer as big as they used to be! A pity! It used to be much better.

The food was very tasty and the staff was very polite.

Top! I always enjoy spending time in the silo.

Great restaurant. Big portion. AND: lovers of chili oil will get their money's worth here! Recommendation of the homemade chili oil 'only for diehards'! The service was super friendly and very attentive. I will gladly come again.

Great location with a great location (right on the lake). Very pleasant inside and outside. I particularly like the chicken wings (with apricot sweet and sour sauce) here. The food is served fairly quickly regardless of the size of the group. The staff is very friendly, but sometimes uncoordinated or not that attentive. Definitely worth a visit.

A stylish restaurant with a cool interior and very friendly service. We only had something to drink this evening, but looking at the food at the next table whets our appetite. You can also pay for your consumption with Twint. Even if it's just two drinks. Up to date, that's how it should be. Update from January 28th, 2023: Team leader “Maria” offers a very warm service based on in-depth training. It's always great when the service puts their heart and soul into their job. But it's best to test it yourself! 😜

Very nice on the shores of Lake Constance. Good food and quick service.

Directly on the cycle route on Lake Constance, great location, quiet and excellent in all respects. Young, dynamic, friendly and a special atmosphere. Very tasty, selected menu with soup or salad at a reasonable price, excellently prepared. Recommended alone, as a couple or even a larger group. There is plenty of space inside and outside.

The citizens are very tasty. I can't remember eating such a good citizen.

Start the day with a delicious breakfast - what more could you want. From the extremely courteous service to the preparation of the food to the enjoyment in a unique location, guests will have a great time. The Eggs Benedict in numerous variations are a dream. Likewise the different breakfast options such as muesli or bread. We'd love to come back.

A great restaurant with a perfect location right on the lake (great in summer). The food is served incredibly quickly and is very tasty. But what stands out most about Silo 5 is its top staff. You feel very comfortable. Can only recommend it!!

Cool and relaxed location. Very good and friendly service, food comes quickly and tastes delicious. You can eat inside or outside, a few meters from the lake/harbour. The only downside is the paid general parking spaces, as there were none at the restaurant. Still highly recommended.

Very nice restaurant with a great ambience. It is very beautiful here both in summer (outside) and in winter. Like so many reviewers, I also ate a really delicious burger. Plus a nice beer... what more could you want. It is advisable to make a reservation as it is very busy.

Apart from the cobwebs and the few parking spaces, half of which are occupied by the operator, it is a nice concept. Dishes that you can't get anywhere else but beef tartare made with ketchup at these prices?? 🤐 too bad

The breakfast is awesome! I also think the location is great, but it gave me the impression that the staff had had a bad day... I wasn't really friendly/unfriendly. The Hugo I ordered was also confusing... until now it was always clear and not brown...

A great location right at the boat harbor. Very friendly staff. Dogs are also welcome and will be provided with a bowl of water if necessary. And while you're there, you should definitely try one of the burgers because they're really great. And they are powerful and they are some of the best burgers I have had so far. A great place to hang out with a woman on a warm summer evening.

Nice location and very good food. Unfortunately we waited 20 minutes before we could even order anything. Always had to call for the service staff. The starter plate was only partially cleared and then forgotten until the main course arrived. The main course was cleared away, even though we weren't all finished yet. Unfortunately a no go for these prices.

July 5th, 2022 very friendly welcome. 5 people, each a different dish. Everyone enjoyed it very much. Young staff attentive and very friendly.

Only stopped for a quick drinks stop during the bike ride but very nice staff and a nice ambience.

This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars... The trip from Zurich to Thurgau that I make almost every 2 weeks just to visit this restaurant is extremely worth it! Food from the meat to the burgers to the seafood 10/10. We always receive very good advice, especially from the man of honor with the bald head <3 Best wishes to you, my best!

One of my favorite restaurants. Super delicious food, fine drinks, seating close to the water, nice staff, normal prices. Clean toilets and everyone can find something on the big map. I can highly recommend a visit.

Great burgers. I have probably never eaten a better one, at best one that was equally delicious. Nice restaurant with a terrace facing the harbor. Attentive and prompt staff who are on a first-name basis with the guests. Only the potato wedges and the lousy beer selection didn't excite me.

Fun atmosphere and tasty menu. Generous portioning. Located at the unknown harbor of Bottighofen. If you love Lake Constance: worth a trip. Bittighofen has an unknown industrial history: the village used to be full of mills. Accordingly, there are still a lot of canals, branches and diverted streams and streams. The Upper, Middle and Lower Mills have been preserved as buildings and some have been very tastefully converted and renovated. Also worth visiting: the old “Bear” at the big roundabout.

Excellent and exciting food. There is enough shade on the terrace, but reservations must be made at lunchtime and in the evening on weekends. Only the chairs could be a little more comfortable.
