My favorite bar in all of ZH! The food is great! Seasonal, fresh and delicious. The staff was very friendly, polite, humorous and accommodating! The drinks are awesome. With a wide selection of spirits, mocktails and cocktails. I always commute from SE to ZH by public transport, mostly just so I can end my day with Simplon. Can only recommend the restaurant/bar!

We received a friendly and courteous welcome and then had a relaxed visit with beer and cocktails. Based on the bar sign, we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the inside looked. Plus: 5.50 for the Calanda bar, you can't say no to that. Peter Weber would enjoy this restaurant.

It's not my favorite bar for nothing. I love the Simplon Bar. There is always space, great drinks, great delicious food, atmosphere top and the bartenders + service staff are awesome. On top of that you get free popcorn, awesome. And of course the location is unbeatable, just a 3-minute walk from the main station.

We sat outside and an "Asian man" served us. My colleague wanted to tip the waiter 4 CHF but the waiter replied: "You need it more than me." and refused to accept the tip. That doesn't work at all! In addition, the seating outside is extremely uncomfortable and it's not worth lingering. Well, there are better bars in the area to choose from.

Simplón is near the station. One thing for sure the service here is amazing! I was craving for one last steak tartare before leaving and this was unique. You could add a shot of whisky or cognac with it and make it spicy too! It’s not mixed with the usual gherkins etc but different. Nice with a Campari Spritz! Also reasonable prices for Zurich.

In a central location, right next to the main train station, you will be welcomed at the Simplon Bar by a young, friendly team. The menu is pleasantly clear, peppered with classics from tartare to veggies, so that everyone is spoiled for choice. Our food was very tasty and the service was friendly, attentive and quick throughout the evening. Price-performance extremely fair.

The vibe is nice. I ordered Rindshorücken and Flammkuchen Classic. The Rindshorücken is very salty. The waitress arranged a new one for me. As a customer, i am enjoyable to stay there. All the staff are very friendly and always serve us with smile. Really excellent service and the food is delicious too. Highly recommended!

Very friendly and courteous staff, the cocktails are very well made and the signatures are also well coordinated, the food was top for all of us, I had the seasonal high sirloin steak with saffron risotto. Gladly again and highly recommended, prices are like everywhere else in Zurich but you certainly have the quality to match.

I don't know what the secret to their popcorn is, (must be love or something) but let me warn you: once you start eating it you CAN'T stop. This is not a review, this a warning. The popcorn is that good, it should be illegal. Oh and yes the service is very nice as well. No seriously, they are great guys actually, they really make you feel welcome.

Drinks delicious, dessert too. I don't know the other dishes, but the tartare is not convincing: a lot of ketchup (too "tomatoey") and the feeling that there is hardly any meat in it. When spread on the bread and when it tasted on the palate it felt more like tomato puree and not like tartare. Will come back and try something different. However, I definitely cannot recommend the tartare.

I can say with confidence that this place has a friendly and attentive service above the standards, felt welcome right from the beginning. The food has its own thing, I recommend the Flammkuchen. On the drinks, a nice Glühwein for this cold weather.
