Sitara is one of my favorite options to get lunch outside in working days. The food is delicious and the portions are super generous. The owners are a nice family that always welcome us with a smile. Totally recommend it!

A real insider tip. I recently saw the takeaway while walking past. Today I went for lunch for the first time. The selection is clear. I chose Chicken Thali and was pleasantly surprised. It was tasty and I was full after eating.

Great tip! It's a shame, they're only open at lunchtime! Excellent food, although a bit salty for my taste. Large portion with lentils, 2 types of vegetables, meat, and pappadum with yogurt dip.

It's really superb. We ordered chicken meal and a lamm meal. The quantity was so good and the food was also really tasty. We got papadam, raita and naan as a complement. Definitely recommend.

Family owned, small nice familiar take away! Best value for money in bern. U get 2 meals for 12 chf! No where in bern u can find something like that. And having been to india +13 times, i can tell you, u will not be disapointed!

The food at this family owned place is great! Portions are generous, at a very fair price! Good variety on the menu and the sides are changing based on what they get from the local market. I find this really interesting! Overall an amazing option for lunch!

Indian delicacies accompanied by love and devotion. You can feel the love when preparing the dishes and the joy in this clean kitchen. The host greets every customer with a smile. And prepares food for everyone upon request. The food is easy to digest and doesn't make you feel heavy. You'll always be full with the generous portions. The portions are generous and even a little more if you particularly like something. And you won't be poor either. You can treat yourself to the menus every day. Was there for the first time today. And it was… just perfect!! Very, very good food at an unbeatable price. And this with super large portions. The naan was also the best I've had in a long time. I'll come more often from now on😋

I come here on a weekly basis. You can get a delicious meal for 12 CHF to take away and it is better than most conventional indian Restaurants. It has an authentic uncomplicated streetcorner-takeaway style with some plastic chairs out front in case you wanna place to sit. Definetly 5/5.

I regularly come from Solothurn every two weeks to do take away at Sitara. Authentic, very tasty Indian/Sri Lankan cuisine, my absolute highlight is the eggplant vegetables. Price/performance ratio is great and the staff is very accommodating and very friendly.

Dishes without particular pretensions, but good food and incredible value for money for Bern: the vegetarian dish for example is quite plentiful and costs 10.-CHF. Unfortunately the place is rather anonymous, very clean but poorly maintained and not particularly welcoming: perfect as a take away, less so for on-site consumption. Excellent alternative for a simple and tasty meal when perhaps you don't have the time or desire to cook!
