Skihütte Genepi in Grindelwald

I recently visited Skihütte Genepi and was impressed by the great atmosphere and the exceptionally friendly staff. The Alpine breeze and breathtaking landscape created a perfect setting for sipping a cold drink ;) However, the constant American Gangster Rap being played at an overpowering volume is the least thing you would expect or wanted to listen too while up in the mountains. Despite this musical hiccup, the overall experience at Skihütte Genepi was enjoyable, with great service and ok food. I’d definitely be back, hopefully by then the music will have changed ;)

Staff are super friendly, music is good, the wraps were tasty, and the location is beautiful. This was my go to place for lunch, highly recommended.

Quality, staff and vibe are awesome, but note that the service is very slow. Only come if you have time to spare. Even though you might be waiting a while for the food, when it arrives it is very well done and has soul.

We had a special vegan request which was fulfilled immediately. The veggie wrap is great food. Everything is great - the team, the food and, last but not least, the beautiful view of an unforgettable Alpine panorama.

Great atmosphere, the interior design is creative. For an affordable price you get a huge portion. I do hope they could put a bit more vegetables in the burrito though. We had the burger too, which was great. Staffs are very friendly!

We were guests in the summer and were thrilled! The food was very tasty and the service was very friendly, attentive and also responded to special requests. The menu also offers other dishes such as the classic rösti, pizza or ghackets. Everything was great, gladly again!

Very nice atmosphere! Staff is happy and enjoying herself. Pizza was baked fresh with passion:) Much better value than the restaurant just next to the cable car, you just need to walk extra 30 meters for a much more fun spot:)

Great location to eat or drink something. The food is good, well prepared, much better than those big restaurants on the slopes. Good atmosphere and very friendly staff! I recommend, I go there every time I go to First!

Excellent view and location... Great soup and drinks are good too. The food options are very limited though and especially if you are looking for vegetarian, simple food.

We were here in summer 2019. The cozy little hut is a very nice alternative to the crowded restaurant terrace right at the Firstbahn station. Dance and techno music plays a little louder here (which we particularly liked) and you can enjoy the wonderful panorama on large seat cushions or in a deck chair. The two waitresses were super nice, pleasantly relaxed and not intrusive. Only the prices are - as is unfortunately the case almost everywhere in the Jungfrau region, especially in the tourist hotspots - simply outrageous.

Very nice hut. Which is now also open in summer. 😍😍😍 I'm already looking forward to our days in the mountains. 🤗⛰
